Chapter 123 - Life Achievement Unlocked

Early morning, inside a villa in downtown New York.

Bai Ye lay spread out on the soft, wide bed, his body in the shape of the character "木."Beside him, Camilla was fast asleep.

Last night, he'd planned to battle Camilla for three days and three nights straight, but unfortunately, vampires had fragile stamina—she'd gone limp before the first night was even over.

"This feels just like being unemployed," Bai Ye thought lazily, resting his hands behind his head as he stared at the ceiling.

Once, his drive had been simple—get stronger, survive in the Marvel world, and someday repay that all-knowing, all-powerful being who ran the chat group.

But now his strength had grown countless times over. The Ancient One had told him that even if he died, he could resurrect himself. And that so-called "Omniscient Great Being"? Bai Ye had crushed him underfoot yesterday.

Barely two months had passed, yet it felt as if he'd already cleared the game of life—and achieved every possible milestone.

Now, every cell in his body felt lazy. The motivation to do anything had suddenly vanished.

"Maybe I should find something to do?" Bai Ye thought, gazing up at the ceiling.

"Let's see… what do ordinary people chase after? Power, money, beauty. But I already have all of those."

Everything felt dull. In the Marvel world, power bowed to him, money was endless, and as for women—well, that was hardly a problem.

"Then maybe take it to the extreme? Push all three to their limits?"

"First, power. I already have the chat group. What if I built an empire spanning the heavens and worlds—ruling over all life?"

"Then money. If the empire belongs to me, then everything under the heavens is mine. I'll tax every subject and claim all wealth beyond basic needs for the state."

"Lastly, beauty. I could form a massive harem, collecting every beautiful woman who fits my tastes—whether through seduction, hypnosis, coercion, or threat."

"No, no—if I've already founded an empire, why bother forcing anyone? I could just decree that all women with a beauty rating above 1.3 must remain chaste for life—and as Emperor, I alone would have the right to their first night."

Bai Ye couldn't help laughing as he thought about it. These were things most people could only dream of, and yet for him, they were entirely possible.

"Forget it. Let's give the world a chance—I won't torment it today."

He turned over, abandoning his grandiose fantasies, and summoned the chat group in his mind.

Since the previous admin had died, Bai Ye—now the strongest member—had taken over as the new owner.

Looking at the Level 1 indicator at the top of the interface, Bai Ye understood that it represented the group's tier. The higher the level, the more members it could host, and the greater the chance of drawing in powerful individuals.

To upgrade from Level 1 to Level 2, the group needed at least three Level 2 members. If not, it could even be demoted.

Originally, there had been two Level 2 or higher members—Bai Ye and the Omniscient Being—but now that the latter was dead, Bai Ye was the only one holding the group together.

The current Level 1 group could hold up to twenty members, but only six slots were filled.

He opened the list of new join requests and scrolled through them.

All he saw were nobodies—random "Zhang San," "Li Si," "Wang Wu" types—people he'd never heard of, and all of them were just ordinary Level 0s.

Then again, considering the infinite number of worlds, the odds of recruiting a major story character by random chance were slim. Meeting familiar faces would actually be a rare coincidence.

As he browsed through the list, Bai Ye got out of bed and gently pulled open the curtains.Warm sunlight streamed in, brightening the entire room.

On the bed, the blanket still clung to Camilla's alluring curves. Feeling the sunlight, she frowned and glared at him sleepily."Do you not know I'm a vampire?" she snapped.

"You're already immune to sunlight, remember?" Bai Ye replied casually.

After feeding on his blood every day—blood so potent it was practically a divine elixir—Camilla's power had skyrocketed. Her body had even developed a resistance to sunlight; she could now walk under it freely without burning, though the instinct still made her uncomfortable.

As sunlight filled the room, Bai Ye strolled to a corner of the adjacent room and pulled out a box of game cartridges. Under Camilla's astonished gaze, he connected one to the screen.

"What are you doing?" Camilla asked, looking as though she'd just seen an elephant shoved into a refrigerator.

"Playing games. Isn't it obvious?" Bai Ye said, lifting the controller in his hand.

"Where did you hide the real Bai Ye?" Camilla asked in disbelief. "Aren't you going to train today? Even spending time with Gwen would make more sense! And now you're wasting your time gaming?"

"Am I really that different when I skip training?" Bai Ye sighed. "Besides, I might not train anymore at all."

"Why not?" Camilla's beautiful eyes widened in surprise.

"No reason. I just don't feel like it. To put it simply—I'm bored," Bai Ye said, still focused on his controller.

"I used to train to get stronger, but now I'm invincible. I get stronger just by lying down, so why bother?"

He hadn't done anything last night—aside from playing a few rounds of poker with Camilla—and yet this morning, his strength had increased by another three percent. His body was now self-evolving, growing stronger on its own.

Even if that rate never increased, after a year, his strength would multiply nearly fifty thousand times.

In ten years, when Thanos arrived, he'd be 7 × 10⁴⁶ times stronger. What was the point of training anymore?

"Let's give Earth a chance," Bai Ye said lightly. "Right now, what I need is to love myself."

He turned his gaze toward Camilla. "Come here. Sit with me."

Seeing how seriously he was playing, Camilla realized he meant it. With a resigned sigh, she stood up, grabbed another controller, and sat down beside him, ready to join in.

But the moment she sat, Bai Ye patted her shoulder. "Wrong spot. Sit on my lap—it's a more stable setup with the extra 'plug-in.'"

Camilla rolled her eyes, instantly seeing through his shameless intentions. "And how am I supposed to focus on the game like that?"

Bai Ye replied righteously, "This is training for you. You couldn't last even three hours last night—that's way too weak. When you can play calmly without blushing, panting, or breaking focus, that's when your training is complete."

Camilla, obediently sliding down her pants and settling into position, murmured softly,"…Mmm~ You make a good point."
