Chapter 193 - Killing Bai Ye is Like Slaughtering a Dog

The atmosphere in the room instantly became tense as Bai Ye spoke.

Everyone, except for him, subtly turned their gazes towards the man sitting in the corner.

In that corner sat a man with a broad back and thick muscles, like a Russian Black Bear. He was sitting with an imposing air.

Hearing Bai Ye's words, Ivanov slightly raised his eyebrows and glared at Bai Ye with a fierce and domineering gaze, as if trying to discern his identity.

He was Ivanov, the current number one on the planet!

Tension hung heavy in the air…

Everyone in the room watched Bai Ye with trepidation. This young man was courting death; he dared to challenge the Emperor, the number one.

"I understand young people want to make a name for themselves, but you seem to have picked the wrong opponent."

Ivanov stood up, his two-meter-tall frame exuding a strong sense of pressure as he looked down at Bai Ye. "Judging by your features, you seem to be of Asian descent. Didn't the forces behind you tell you not to provoke me?"

"Oh, so you're the number one ranked Russian Black Bear? My apologies, I was a bit rude in mentioning your name directly."

Bai Ye walked forward without any sign of nervousness, staring at the bald, muscular man in front of him. "Since you're number one, you must be very strong. How about we spar?"

Looking at the "lush" bald head of the other man, Bai Ye instinctively asked, "I heard from passersby that you implanted Saiyan blood in the Qi World and trained diligently for three years, but where's your hair?"

Ivanov: (╬▔皿▔)

Bai Ye's words made Ivanov's expression subtly displeased. This young man seemed quite cocky.

Although the quest worlds were randomly selected, and theoretically, anyone who met the requirements could enter, it was clear that there were greater benefits to sticking together.

Therefore, the choice of quest worlds was mostly a tacit agreement for each national power to individually select a world instance.

And the dungeon that this number one Russian belonged to naturally consisted mostly of his powerful subordinates.

The other members nearby wanted to speak up and rebuke, but Ivanov stopped them.

He glared fiercely and said, "Since you want to spar, let's do it here. I'll try my best to give you a little lesson without destroying this building."

"Don't worry, as a senior, I'll let you go first."

"Let me go first? I'll also pay attention to restraint." Bai Ye waved his hand casually.

As the two of them continued their conversation, the people around were already getting excited, eager to witness the number one's move.

"Hmm…" At this moment, Ivanov frowned because he felt a mysterious field being released from the young man in front of him, spreading outwards.

Although he didn't know what it did, he became secretly vigilant, no longer showing any of his previous contempt.

"Get ready, I'm going to…" Bai Ye raised his right fist, but halfway through, a look of surprise flashed across his face.

Because in front of him, Ivanov, who had agreed to let him go first, was already enveloped in a layer of white qi. His right fist, accompanied by a fierce wind, was smashing towards Bai Ye's face.

Ivanov's face remained expressionless, but his heart was roaring: 'Haha, you didn't expect that, did you? Combat is for victory. See you in your next life, kid.'

In an instant, Ivanov threw his right fist. Enveloped in powerful qi, the force was enough to flatten a hundred-meter-long street, but it was immediately caught by a slender, long right hand, unable to advance an inch.

'Using your full strength from the start? A smart choice.' Bai Ye smiled, looking at the stunned Ivanov, as if he were the one being challenged.

The next moment, the sparring between the two officially began.

"BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!"

From the onlookers' perspective, the two figures turned into afterimages, frantically exchanging blows.

Each of their punches could flatten the street beneath their feet, yet strangely, not a ripple was visible.

Besides the punches landing with a thud, the only other effects were the gales of wind and the booming sounds.

It was as if the two of them weren't even in the same layer of existence as the world around them.

"Boom boom!" Bai Ye and Ivanov exchanged two more punches. Then, both of them, holding back some strength, took two steps back and simultaneously stopped the fight.

The entire exchange between them had only lasted a mere three seconds, but they had already traded tens of thousands of blows.

The people around them were already shocked, their mouths agape. A newcomer had fought to a standstill with the number one person in the world! Where did this Ten Mile Slope Sword God even come from?

Even though Ivanov hadn't used his full strength, the young man looked completely at ease. Clearly, neither of them was taking this seriously.

"Not bad, young man. I used seventy percent of my strength just now. You were able to use this strange force field to leverage and trade blows with me equally. You can already be considered one of the top three masters on this planet."

Ivanov's expression was calm, no longer serious. Instead, he smiled, acting like a friendly senior.

"Oh, and you, being able to withstand thirty percent of my power in close combat, you can also be proud of yourself," Bai Ye said with a calm smile, which immediately made Ivanov's face turn dark.

Gently reaching into his pocket, Bai Ye addressed the people at the scene, "I've assessed your strengths. Since that's the case, I'll go and complete the mission."

"Hey, wait a moment, friend." A middle-aged white man stepped forward, "With such strength, you should join us and form a team. We can look after each other."

Facing the middle-aged man's attempt to persuade him, Bai Ye simply sized him up. A hint of disdain for the weak flashed across his face, and he politely smiled and shook his head, refusing.

With a light leap, Bai Ye jumped out of the building and landed on the ground. After glancing into the distance, he headed off in one direction.

As Bai Ye departed, the other lone Reincarnators who weren't aligned with Ivanov also left one by one.

"Emperor, why didn't you try to keep him?" After the Reincarnators from different factions had left, a subordinate stepped forward to ask.

Ivanov was silent for a moment before saying, "I really used seventy percent of my normal strength just now. As for him... although he's only at level five, he seems to have no weaknesses. Without using my trump cards, I'm not confident I could have kept him."

The words hung in the air, and the surrounding atmosphere grew still. Everyone stared at Ivanov in shock.

"What if we use the item we just bought?" another subordinate couldn't help but ask.

Ivanov sneered. "That level twelve item is for a crucial moment. He's not worthy of our waste. Otherwise, if I were so inclined, killing him would be like slaughtering a dog!"
