Nick Fury stood in the command center, arms crossed, and glanced at Coulson, who had just returned from a mission. He got straight to the point: "What has Captain been up to lately? You should know his situation over there, right?"
Coulson hesitated slightly, seeming to find it difficult to speak: "Uh, about that... Well, he is indeed 'training', but..."
Nick frowned slightly, asking impatiently: "But what?"
Coulson's mouth twitched, seemingly recalling certain scenes. He weighed his words and said: "You could say it's... training, but the method is a bit different from what we usually define as training."
Nick looked suspicious, staring at Coulson: "Different? Coulson, stop beating around the bush."
Coulson cleared his throat, trying to choose his words: "Well, honestly... Captain has recently been doing 'relaxed training' with Dominic. For instance, enjoying the waves on the beach, and then 'testing' the stability of the beach chairs. Perhaps this is their latest exercise method."
Nick's eyes narrowed slightly: "Beach? Dominic really lives life like a vacation." He paused slightly, "How much time is Captain spending sunbathing there?"
Coulson scratched his head: "Uh... for them, it's... like, round-the-clock standby training. Captain is actually quite diligent; he... he learned to relax his eye muscles with cucumber slices under Dominic's guidance."
Nick stared at Coulson speechlessly: "So I sent him to find Dominic so he could receive 'cucumber slice special training'?"
Coulson quickly explained: "Director, it's not just cucumber slices. They occasionally incorporate 'aromatherapy', followed by gentle massage techniques to ensure muscle recovery. Honestly, this process is also a test of the body..."
Nick couldn't help but sigh: "So you're telling me that Captain is now learning how to relieve tension?"
Coulson tried to maintain a serious tone: "You could say that, but we can also understand it as him training his inner balance and mental stability. After all, as an Avenger..."
Nick raised an eyebrow, a cold smile playing on his lips: "In short, Captain has become Dominic's 'convalescent'? Coulson, you aren't sunbathing there too, are you?"
Coulson immediately straightened up: "Certainly not, Director. I am still conscientiously observing their progress, it's just... this 'peaceful therapy' might indeed not fit the traditional definition of training. It's just that sometimes they say heroes need 'rest' and 'self-care' for long-term combat."
Nick took a deep breath and slowly said: "It seems I need to redefine the entry requirements for the Avengers. Coulson, when Captain is relaxed enough, have him come see me."
Coulson replied in a low voice: "Understood, Director. Uh, it's just that if his 'therapy' over there is too comfortable, I might need to persuade him a bit."
The sea breeze gently ruffled, and the Sun softly sprinkled onto the beach. Steve lay on a lounge chair, shifting uncomfortably, being gently massaged on his shoulders and back by a charming woman. Her technique was skilled; each press made Steve blush, even the tips of his ears quietly turned red.
Blonsky walked over, glanced at Steve, and couldn't help but tease: "Look at you, little Captain, shy about this kind of treatment? That girl is craving your body."
Steve immediately looked embarrassed, his lips moved, wanting to retort, but he only felt stiff all over, his face turning red like a cooked shrimp. He stammered: "I... I came here to ask you to join the Avengers, not for... this."
Blonsky patted his shoulder and laughed as if it were the most natural thing: "Join the Avengers? Of course, Captain. When has Dominic's promise not counted?" He looked serious, but his tone clearly carried a hint of mockery.
Steve frowned in confusion: "Then... since you agreed, why are you still leisurely enjoying yourselves here?" His voice held a trace of shyness, but also a certain seriousness, as if he didn't understand why these people looked so reluctant to leave this pleasant place.
Blonsky smiled even brighter, raising his hand to point not far away – Dominic was lying on the beach, surrounded by several stunning women, each one breathtakingly beautiful. Dominic wore loose beach shorts, holding a cold cocktail in his hand, his eyes half-closed, as if nothing in the world was more important than enjoying beauties and sunshine.
Blonsky shrugged lightly and said to Steve: "See? Dominic is like this, he values enjoying life. Captain, you should learn more, don't keep a straight face all the time."
Steve's eyes widened, and he tried hard to avert his gaze from the 'spectacle' before him, squeezing out a sentence: "Is this... really considered 'training'?"
Blonsky nodded, saying with a sincere expression: "Of course it is. Mental health is also very important for heroes; maintaining a relaxed mindset allows for the best performance." He leaned closer to Steve and added in a low voice, "How about we just consider it 'mental conditioning' before joining the team?"
Steve couldn't help but smile slightly, yet still struggled to say: "I... the 'training' I imagined seems a bit different from this."
Blonsky laughed heartily and patted his back: "Hey, Captain, sometimes relaxing is the best 'combat preparation'! Besides, this is the 'joining process' personally set by Dominic, just relax and enjoy."
Steve was momentarily stunned by his words. He looked at the comfortable beach and the busy 'masseuses' before him, then glanced at Dominic, who was enjoying the 'ultimate vacation', and his heart wavered slightly.
Just then, Blonsky softly chimed in: "Besides, Captain, you have to adapt to modern life, right? Relaxation is an art, understand?" He raised an eyebrow and smiled, with a hint of meaningful expression, as if he could pull Steve into their 'pleasure group' the next second.
Steve opened his mouth, but for a moment couldn't find anything to refute. He could only sigh somewhat helplessly, but the blush on his face still couldn't be hidden.
Blonsky leaned down closer to Steve and said half-jokingly: "Captain, tell me, where are the real 'big bad guys' in New York now? There are just some small-time hoodlums left! Are you really going to drag them to night school to learn a trade and make them turn over a new leaf?" He shook his head, his tone light with a hint of teasing, "As long as these guys don't rob or cause trouble, isn't that making things easier for us?"
Steve listened, his brows furrowed, seeming to want to argue, but recalled his recent patrols – indeed, he hadn't encountered any real threats. He hesitated for a moment, struggling internally, and finally sighed: "Okay... maybe you have a point." He gritted his teeth, as if making up his mind, and said, "Relaxing first, maybe... maybe it's not a bad thing."
Blonsky watched with satisfaction as Steve finally let down his 'combat guard', reached out and patted his shoulder, laughing: "That's the attitude! Come on, relax, enjoy, you're here on vacation with the honor of the Avengers!" He handed over a cold drink, signaling Steve to relax a bit.
Steve took the drink and smiled slightly, leaning back on the beach chair with a touch of helplessness, looking at the sparkling sea in the distance. The worry in his heart finally eased slightly.
