The oppressive atmosphere in the cabin was unbearable. Steve, Sam, and Thor, a team tasked with the heavy responsibility of disrupting Ultron's plan, had begun traversing the ruins of the abandoned city, the atmosphere heavy. The ground fires and huge roars shook their bodies, and the air was filled with the smell of steel and burning.
"The destination is ahead," Steve said in a low voice, his gaze sharp as he scanned the surroundings, his steps resolute. Although they were well-prepared, with every step, their heartbeats accelerated.
Sam tapped his earpiece with a finger. "The signals from the robot legion are starting to appear frequently. We need to pick up the pace."
Suddenly, a distant building exploded, the firelight painting the sky red. Immediately after, the metallic grinding sound of mechanical arms pierced the silence, and swarms of machine soldiers appeared in their sight, their cold eyes glinting among the burning ruins.
"Come on," Thor growled softly, his warhammer already raised in the air, electricity gathering around him, as if thunder could strike at any moment.
With his movement, the mechanical legion began to rush towards them, the sound of metal colliding echoing throughout the city like war drums.
Steve charged forward, his shield held across his chest, his steps agile, precisely blocking several incoming laser beams. Then he spun around fiercely, swinging his shield to smash hard at a robot, the impact of the shield face on metal letting out a deafening clang, and the robot instantly collapsed to the ground. Behind him, Sam flew up, his wings spread, quickly sweeping across the sky, precisely hitting the power core of a robot with a dart. Although the robots reacted quickly, they could not stop their attack.
Meanwhile, Thor unleashed a bolt of lightning, striking a mechanical warrior, the lightning dancing wildly in the air, currents splashing along the metal shell. The robot instantly shattered into pieces like torn paper.
Pietro Maximoff's figure appeared on the other side of the battle, his steps as fast as lightning, quickly traversing the battlefield, lunging towards Steve without warning. Steve was quick-witted, blocking Pietro's charge with his shield, but Pietro was too fast, directly hitting Steve with his body and throwing him hard to the ground.
"How could you possibly block me?" Pietro sneered, standing over Steve's head, his hands lowered, ready to deliver a fatal blow.
Sam quickly flew to Steve's side, striking Pietro hard with his wings, knocking him away. Pietro fell to the ground, looking up to see the anger burning in Sam's eyes.
"Your speed... is no match for mine," Pietro said, then his body, like lightning, charged towards Sam again, but this time, he encountered a strong counterattack.
Thor leaped from the side, his lightning hammer swinging towards Pietro like a God's weapon, electricity Entanglement around the hammerhead, illuminating the entire battlefield.
Pietro clearly sensed the danger, rapidly rotating his body, trying to avoid the lightning hammer's attack, but he was still a step late. The lightning hammer hit Pietro's body, the current instantly penetrating his protective layer, causing him to lose balance and fall to the ground.
"Don't get happy too soon," Pietro said through clenched teeth, quickly standing up, power surging through his body, ready to attack again.
The battle on the other side was even more intense. Natasha, Clint, and Banner (transformed into the Hulk) were confronting Wanda Maximoff and another batch of the mechanical legion. Every step of the Hulk shook the ground, his huge fists hitting the robots hard, and almost nothing could withstand his power.
"Wanda, stop delaying!" Natasha's voice echoed in the wind, she quickly analyzed the situation on the battlefield, her heart pounding, her muscles tense. Every one of her attacks was precise, but clearly, Wanda's mental power made it difficult for her to break through.
Wanda stood in the distance, her eyes filled with a cold light. She slightly raised her hands, controlling the surrounding robots, easily commanding them into an invincible army, launching an attack on the Avengers.
"You are really too naive," Wanda's voice echoed on the battlefield, with a hint of contempt, "You don't understand my power at all."
Banner had now completely transformed into the Hulk, the green giant raging on the battlefield, his destructive power astonishing, every swing of his fist crushing a large number of enemies. He widened his eyes, lunging violently towards Wanda, his target clear, his power exploding.
"Everyone must die!"
The Hulk roared, swinging his fist at Wanda's defensive barrier.
Wanda's eyes flickered, her hands suddenly shook, the air instantly twisted, the Hulk's fist was only a few centimeters away from her head, but she did not dodge. Instead, her power surged instantly, and the powerful mental wave guided the Hulk's power away.
"You're not fast enough," Wanda's voice was low and dangerous, and she began to control the Hulk's movements, as if he had become one of her chess pieces.
A hint of anger appeared on the Hulk's face, his fists clenched, although Wanda's mental power had an effect on him, the Hulk's power could still not be completely controlled.
Natasha and Clint followed closely, their attack speed was very fast, but they could never break through Wanda's powerful mental defense line.
"We have to find a way to break her mental barrier!" Natasha shouted, quickly analyzing the battle situation, trying to find a chance to break through.
Clint quickly drew a special arrow from his quiver, lightly drew the bowstring, and aimed at Wanda's back.
"Hope this works," he muttered, the arrow shot out like a gust of wind, going straight for the target.
Wanda's perception was extremely sharp, almost the moment the arrow was shot, she sensed the danger, her body quickly rotated, trying to avoid this fatal attack. Just as she was about to control the arrow, the Hulk suddenly erupted with stronger power, breaking her defense with a punch.
The arrow finally pierced the air, hitting the target directly.
A moment of silence, the battle entered a new climax.
The spaceship shuttled through the vast Universe, and the atmosphere inside the ship was a bit relaxed, even a bit lazy. Everyone was in their seats, seemingly immersed in the anticipation of arriving—no, it should be said that everyone had different "expectations."
Peter Quill leaned back in the pilot's seat, humming a familiar rock song, "Hey guys, buckle up, we're landing. Earth is not a good place, at least not as good as the music in the galaxy." He playfully waved to Gamora next to him. Gamora frowned, glanced at him, but said nothing, just continued to organize her equipment.
"What, Gamora, still don't want to listen to some good human music?" Quill asked, feigning surprise, a mischievous smile on his lips. He knew she had no interest in Earth music, especially these rock and old classic tracks.
"That stuff of yours is not music at all," Gamora replied coldly, her eyes full of disdain.
"No matter what you think, Earth music has a kind of magic," Quill shrugged, turning to Drax, "You think so too, right? Human music can make you feel power."
A hint of confusion appeared on Drax's face, he had just understood what "power" meant, but he clearly didn't understand the true meaning of "music." "I haven't heard any music," he answered simply.
"Great, when we go to Earth this time, we'll let you experience what real 'power' is," Quill rolled his eyes, then glanced at Rocket sitting next to him.
Rocket was tinkering with his weapon with his head down, muttering as he tinkered, "You humans, I really don't know how to describe your brains. Earth, what kind of place is it, just a huge desert, you have to jump from one big garbage heap to another every few steps."
"Don't say that, Rocket," Groot repeated in his simple language, "I... I am Groot."
"Yes, you are Groot," Rocket sighed, turned back and gave Groot a patient smile. "You are a good friend, although sometimes what you say really makes me want to throw things."
"I... am Groot," Groot also raised his small branch-like arm and made an "I don't care" gesture.
Just then, Mantis walked over from the corner, her brows furrowed, her expression always appearing more serious than others. "I don't like this way of speaking," she looked at Rocket, her tone calm, but with a hint of undeniable threat.
"Oh, Mantis, relax!" Quill said with a smile, patting her shoulder. "We're just kidding, don't be so serious. You're here to visit Earth, not to 'judge' us."
Mantis stopped talking, just smiled slightly, walked to the observation window outside the cabin, and looked at the approaching Earth. Rocket sighed, continued to tinker with his weapon with his head down, apparently these aliens were not as uninterested in Earth as he was.
"To be honest, I'm a little nervous," Gamora suddenly said, her tone very unusual. She turned around and looked directly at Quill, "Are you sure we won't cause trouble on Earth?"
"Trouble? Hey, Gamora," Quill spread his hands, "We're not going on vacation. Trouble is the meaning of our existence. You see, whether it's the Avengers or someone else, Earth is always a good battlefield. Most importantly, we're going to find something and enjoy ourselves."
"Maybe," Gamora didn't argue back, just lowered her head, lost in thought.
Drax suddenly stood up and stretched. "I don't care what happens here, I just want to hit some people." His voice was firm, as if he was ready to face any challenge.
Quill glanced at him and smiled. "That's right, Drax. You've started to adapt to our 'battle is happiness' lifestyle."
After a moment of silence, Rocket raised his head and glanced at the starry sky outside. "Okay, no more nonsense," he suddenly became serious, his gaze no longer idle, "We still have to enter Earth's atmosphere. You'd better be prepared for a crazy landing."
Groot extended his branch, gently patted Rocket's back, and said calmly, "I... am Groot."
"Oh, my God, I've had enough of you," Rocket lowered his head again and began to fiddle with the tools in his hand, "Anyway, everyone get ready. I can't guarantee that this 'game' on Earth will be fun."
Quill operated the spaceship's control panel and laughed, "I bet the 'game' on Earth will be more exciting than you think. Who doesn't want to have a 'close encounter' with the heroes on Earth?"
As the spaceship began to enter Earth's atmosphere, almost everyone put down what they were doing and stared at the scene outside the porthole. Earth—that place that was both strange and familiar to them, was finally in sight.
"Ready?" Quill's voice had a hint of relaxed laughter.
Gamora took a deep breath, her gaze becoming more determined. "Ready."
"Good," Quill raised his chin towards everyone, controlling the spaceship to continue its dive.
Groot suddenly interjected, "I... am Groot."
Dominic: "Sit tight, we're almost there!"
