The bell on the arena rang out clearly and sharply, instantly breaking the clamor of the venue. The audience held their breath, all eyes focused on the two people in the center.
Sharkroad grinned ferociously, slightly opening his mouth, a low surging sound coming from deep in his throat. His chest rose and fell, as if some power was accumulating inside. In an instant, he suddenly raised his head and spat out a high-speed water bullet.
"Whoosh—bang!"
The water bullet sliced through the air, rushing straight towards Dominic with a sharp whistling sound. The force seemed capable of piercing through any obstacle, even creating a pressure wave in its wake.
Dominic merely tilted his head slightly, and the water bullet whistled past his cheek. The projectile hit the metal wall behind the arena, exploding with a "boom!" The powerful impact directly created a deep dent in the metal surface, and the surrounding energy barrier rippled, showing that the attack's power was enough to threaten the audience outside the arena.
"Hiss—" A collective gasp of cold air immediately rose from the audience seats.
"This is Sharkroad's water bullet ability? That impact force is simply too strong!"
"I've heard of this attack. He once used this move to directly sink a small warship. I didn't expect to see it in the arena."
"Is that kid crazy? To actually just tilt his head to dodge. If he hadn't dodged, his head would have been smashed!"
A wave of whispers and discussions stirred through the crowd. Everyone was shocked by Sharkroad's first strike and also found Dominic's calm demeanor unbelievable.
Storm stood at the back of the crowd, arms crossed, her gaze fixed on Dominic in the arena: "Sharkroad's attack power is indeed not to be underestimated, but his biggest threat is not in its might, but in its continuity. He won't give his opponent a chance to catch their breath."
Cyclops pushed up his red sunglasses, his tone flat but with a hint of contemplation: "This guy's reaction speed is quite surprising to me. To be able to retreat from Sharkroad's first strike unscathed, at least shows he's not an ordinary Mutant."
Storm nodded, her expression carrying a hint of worry: "But the question is, how long can he last? Sharkroad isn't just simple enough to only spit water bullets."
Seeing his first strike missed, Sharkroad in the arena snorted coldly. His chest swelled again, like a giant beast poised to strike. A hint of ruthlessness flashed in his eyes, and he said in a low voice: "It seems you have some skill, but I advise you to get serious, otherwise you won't be so lucky next time."
Dominic smiled slightly, not answering, but just slowly raised his head, his eyes showing a look of contempt.
Below the arena, the members of the Ocean Alliance were clamoring, shouting more fiercely than the fight in the arena.
"Sharkroad, take down this nobody!"
"Show him what real power is!"
"Which corner did this guy crawl out of? Nobody even knows his name!"
Listening to the shouts of his subordinates, Sharkroad's lips curled into a ferocious grin. He suddenly pushed off with his feet, and the arena floor vibrated violently with a "bang!", shaking the entire arena's protective barrier. Like a rampaging giant beast, he charged towards Dominic, arms spread wide, trying to tear the opponent apart.
Dominic, however, remained motionless, merely raising his head, a cold smile playing on his lips.
"Is this what you call 'Ocean Power'?" His voice was low and contemptuous.
Before he finished speaking, a flash of scarlet light suddenly appeared in his eyes. A scorching beam burst forth from his gaze, accurately hitting Sharkroad's massive body.
"Hiss—" The moment the beam hit, a piercing sound filled the air, accompanied by a smell of burning that spread around.
"Ah!" Sharkroad let out a painful roar. White smoke rose from his skin under the beam's scorching heat. His massive body suddenly stopped, his legs stiffened, and he almost fell to his knees.
The audience below the stage was in an uproar, everyone stunned and speechless by this sudden outburst.
"Is this... isn't this Cyclops's ability?"
"It looks very similar, but the power seems even stronger than Cyclops's..."
"Sharkroad actually took a hit?! He's the top fighter of the Ocean Alliance!"
Sharkroad in the arena gritted his teeth, squeezing a low growl from his throat: "Damn it... damn it!" His eyes were bloodshot, and his muscles trembled all over. He endured the pain, roaring towards the sky, his voice full of anger and unwillingness. He suddenly charged again, the arena floor vibrating with "bang bang bang!", cracks appearing with every step.
Dominic watched with cold eyes, showing no intention of dodging. The scorching beam burst forth from his eyes again. This time, his power seemed more concentrated, the beam accurately hitting Sharkroad's chest, repelling him once more.
"Do you think you can endure pain endlessly?" Dominic's voice was low and cold, "Power is just a tool. The tool itself doesn't decide victory or defeat. It is the person controlling the tool who decides who is the hunter and who is the prey."
The intensity of his beam gradually increased, but he deliberately controlled its power, seemingly not in a hurry to completely knock Sharkroad down, but slowly tormenting him. The scorching beam hit Sharkroad again and again, forcing his body to stagger, every breath mixed with painful low growls.
Cyclops below the stage watched all this, slightly furrowing his brows: "This kid is doing it on purpose. He's fully capable of ending the fight with one strike, but he chooses to do this. What exactly does he want?"
Storm's gaze was complex, her tone carrying a hint of worry: "Regardless, this ruthless fighting style seems more like it's sending us a message—he's not just teaching Sharkroad a lesson, he's announcing his existence to everyone."
Outside the arena, the members of the Ocean Alliance clearly couldn't sit still. One by one, they angrily rushed towards the edge of the arena, trying to break through the protective barrier.
"Stop! Get out of the way! Our people need support!"
"This fight is completely unfair! Who the hell is that guy?!"
Dominic heard these roars, and a cold smile played on his lips. He slowly raised his head, the scarlet beam slightly flickering in his eyes.
"If you want to taste this feeling with him, feel free to try." His voice was chillingly cold, like a sharp blade piercing the hearts of everyone trying to approach.
The commotion below the stage temporarily subsided. Everyone was intimidated by his cold pressure, even Storm and Cyclops were speechless for a moment. In the arena, Dominic's figure stood like an unshakeable mountain, quietly standing there, his gaze revealing a powerful force that could not be ignored.
