Chapter 81: Amano Yuuma
Akeno smiled sweetly at Haruto. "Haruto-kun, had enough of looking? Want to see even more clearly?"
Haruto shook his head, then quickly nodded, gazing at Akeno with eager anticipation.
Had he guessed right? Was Akeno actually waiting for him to make a move?
Before Haruto could speak, Akeno's smile vanished, her eyes turning dangerous.
"You still haven't answered for forcibly touching me, stripping me naked, and assaulting me last time."
The raven-haired ponytailed bombshell crackled with electricity in her palm. "It hasn't even been that long. Do you need a lesson in senpai's tough love?"
Akeno had seen through Haruto's true nature and wouldn't be fooled by appearances anymore.
She couldn't treat him like an ordinary horny boy—otherwise, she might get devoured before she knew it.
Haruto forced an awkward laugh and slowly backed away, putting distance between them.
"Akeno-senpai, you're joking. Wasn't that what we agreed on..."
Akeno narrowed her beautiful eyes and interrupted, "Oh? Really? As I recall, we only agreed to a kiss. There was no agreement about you taking off my clothes or trying to put that thing inside me."
"In the end, I didn't actually do it..."
Hearing Haruto's muttered response, Akeno's expression darkened. If Rias hadn't returned in time, she would have lost her first time in the most absurd way.
"So, you think you're in the right?"
The arcs of electricity in the girl's hands grew more active, just waiting for Haruto to ask for a shock.
Haruto shrank his neck slightly, sensing the dangerous atmosphere. Not giving Akeno a chance to act, he swiftly turned and walked away.
"Akeno-senpai, I'll head back to the classroom first to prepare for this afternoon's class."
Watching Haruto's tall figure hurry off, Akeno dispersed the magic in her hand and sighed softly.
She didn't actually dislike Haruto—in fact, she even liked him a little. But that fondness wasn't enough for her to throw caution to the wind and give herself to him.
There were many reasons, and Haruto's playboy tendencies were just one of them. There was also the hatred she carried, the constraints of the Gremory family, and more.
Rias wouldn't interfere with her decisions, but not everyone in the Gremory family felt the same way.
Akeno couldn't let her personal feelings make things difficult for Rias.
"Back to work... Let's see what the president says when she returns..."
Picking up the documents on the table, Akeno murmured to herself, "I hope Haruto's uniqueness doesn't draw too much attention..."
...
The glow of the setting sun dyed the streets red as Haruto strolled leisurely down a deserted alley, hands in his pockets.
He idly kicked a pebble by the roadside while waiting for his client to arrive.
Being his first commission, Haruto was quite enthusiastic, even though this job had no real challenge to it.
"Excuse me... are you the devil, sir?"
A well-proportioned figure appeared at the mouth of the alley, clad in white knee-high socks that accentuated her slender legs, with a tantalizing glimpse of smooth, fair skin beneath her school skirt.
Haruto looked up, carefully examining the girl before him—long black hair, an excellent figure, and a sweet, innocent face.
Her delicate white hands clutched a small bag in front of her stomach, paired with large, sparkling eyes and a cautious tone...
Yes, she was the idealized image of many boys' first love.
Haruto had thought the same—until he stepped closer and got a clear look at her face.
Any excitement about his client being a beautiful girl instantly plummeted. Instinctively, he put some distance between himself and the girl named Amano Yuuma.
"That's me. Are you the client?"
Yuuma gave Haruto a curious glance. She thought her act was flawless, yet this little devil seemed unusually wary.
Had her identity been exposed already?
Not that it mattered—she hadn't planned to clash directly with the Gremory family this time anyway.
Masking her surprise, Yuuma tilted her head cutely and asked, "I'm Amano Yuuma. What should I call you, Mr. Devil?"
"Haruto Seishu."
Haruto kept a guarded eye on the seemingly innocent girl. He had been a little suspicious before, but now he was certain.
"Mr. Devil, you seem nervous... Why is that?"
Yuuma took a couple of tentative steps forward and asked, "Or... does the devil gentleman know me?"
She had used this disguise identity many times before, but each time she would erase the memories of those around her with her abilities.
Moreover, this was her first time using it since arriving in Kuoh Town—there was no way she should have been exposed.
Amano Yuuma, originally named Raynare, was a low-class fallen angel, but her strength was comparable to that of an average mid-class fallen angel.
In the original story, she was the first character to provide "fan service" and also the guide who set Issei Hyoudou on the path to becoming the "Oppai Dragon."
She was the first to discover that Issei possessed the Boosted Gear, a dangerous Sacred Gear. To eliminate this threat, she attacked him.
But not only did she fail to finish the job, she didn't even confirm whether Issei was dead before clocking out.
This allowed Issei, in his dying moments, to summon Rias Gremory, who used the reincarnation effect of the Evil Pieces to save his life. He then directly latched onto the Gremory family's powerful influence, safely navigating the most dangerous phase of his journey.
As the first turning gear in the story, Yuuma left a truly unforgettable impression.
Aside from the three main heroines—Rias, Akeno, and Koneko—no other female character left as deep an impression on Haruto as Amano Yuuma did.
Uncertain of Yuuma's intentions, Haruto remained cautious and shook his head. "No, this is our first meeting."
After a pause, he added, "But my intuition tells me you're a very dangerous woman."
Haruto had acquired the bloodline of an intermediate-class devil, but his strength hadn't yet reached the corresponding A-rank. There was a real chance he might not be able to defeat Yuuma, who was at the peak of B-rank.
Yuuma blinked innocently. Intuition might sound mystical, but it truly existed—it was intuition that had guided her to Kuoh Town in the first place.
Looking at the handsome young man before her, she felt a pang of regret.
Such a good-looking guy with great presence—what a shame he was a devil. Otherwise, it might have been nice to use her disguise identity and have a little romance with him.
Under the influence of his charm and the Cuckold Protagonist Template, most women had a favorable first impression of Haruto, and Yuuma was no exception.
"Haruto-kun, really now, how am I dangerous at all?"
Yuuma pouted coquettishly. "I'm just a delicate girl—that's why I ended up being targeted by a creep in the first place."
Haruto shrugged. Say whatever you want—he wasn't about to tear off her mask just yet.
"Right, speaking of creeps, those guys behind you must be the stalkers mentioned in your request, huh?"
He tilted his chin slightly, gesturing for Yuuma to look behind her.
With a light spin, the hem of Yuuma's green pleated skirt fluttered up, revealing a glimpse of pale pink panties.
Haruto caught the sight out of the corner of his eye and immediately averted his gaze.
This woman was dangerously sweet, but it was best not to provoke her if he could help it.
After all, as a villain, her methods were nothing like Rias and the others. If she set her sights on him, there was a real risk of being dragged back and dissected for research.
Yuuma noticed Haruto's reaction and smirked inwardly, deciding not to push further.
Her reason for this request was simple—she wanted to gauge the caliber of the devil overseeing Kuoh Town.
Even a glimpse would be enough for her to roughly estimate the strength of the local overseer.
"That's them. I'll leave it to you, Haruto-kun."
Haruto nodded and stepped past her, striding toward a group of flashily dressed delinquents.
As he approached, one of the thugs—a blond punk—suddenly flared with inexplicable rage. Without waiting for his leader's order, he snarled at Haruto.
"Hey, bastard! Stay the hell away from that woman, or you won't live to regret it."
Haruto spared him a glance before ignoring him entirely. To him, trash like this was no different from ants on the roadside.
His focus was on the red-haired youth at the center of the group—his commanding presence and distinct aura marked him as the leader.
Yuuma wouldn't have picked a bunch of weaklings for this test. At the very least, they had to be supernatural.
The redhead was a C-rank practitioner.
No threat to Yuuma, but perfect as a stepping stone.
