Chapter 135 -   《DXD: Multiverse Journey》Chapter 135: Curtain Call! Return to the Devil DxD World!

In the blink of an eye, Shuo materialized high above Lake Kannawa.

The lake was infamous—a legacy of the Saint Annihilation Faction. Its depths teemed with swarms of magical beasts known as Bee-Serpents. And somewhere down there, the dragon girl Glenda slumbered in symbiosis with the serpents, waiting for her moment to awaken.

Stretching out his senses, Shuo instantly pinpointed Anbai Natsuki and Akatsuki Hisano—along with the chaos swirling around them.

Natsuki, one of the Lion King Agency's Three Saints, was at the center of the storm. Her "Heavenly Weaver Queen" ability transformed her spiritual energy into threads, weaving a vast network that linked hundreds of fighters, letting her command the battlefield with surgical precision.

Thanks to her leadership, the Attack Mages had clawed back a sliver of hope. But the Bee-Serpents kept coming—relentless, overwhelming. The tide was nowhere near turning.

"Hasn't Shuo Nangong arrived yet? Didn't the Agency already call for him?" Natsuki barked, never pausing as she directed the defense.

Akatsuki Hisano—a white-haired elder, Nagisa's grandmother, and a Lion King Agency bigwig—gave her a look that mixed exasperation and dry humor.

"You're one of the Three Saints, aren't you? If you don't know, why would I?"

Natsuki could only sigh. Even the Three Saints aren't omniscient. Did Hekomatsu and Endou forget to notify Shuo? If so… we're doomed.

"We've got no choice," she muttered, voice tight. "Hold the line and pray Shuo gets here soon."

The team had to fight off the Bee-Serpents while watching for the Saint Annihilation Faction's next move. It was a losing battle.

Suddenly, the lake bottom churned. An even greater swarm of Bee-Serpents surged upward, a living tidal wave. Despair flickered across every face.

Endless. Absolutely endless.

Just as the monsters closed in—

A thunderclap split the sky.

A surge of demonic power crashed down, blanketing the lake in raw, suffocating force.

A pillar of crimson magic shot upward. Under its pressure, the Bee-Serpents burst like overfilled balloons, exploding into clouds of blood mist.

Shuo's voice rang out, smooth and teasing.

"Looks like things aren't going so well. Need a hand?"

He appeared beside Natsuki and Hisano, a subtle smile playing at his lips.

"Shuo Nangong?!"

Relief swept over them—tension melting away.

Without another word, Shuo unleashed his power. With a thought, he gathered every remaining Bee-Serpent, then obliterated them all in a single, world-ending lightning strike.

"Now, let's go find that dragon loli, Glenda," he murmured, vanishing again.

He reappeared just as the Saint Annihilation Faction tried to kidnap the unconscious Glenda. Shuo didn't hesitate—he blasted them with a light cannon, erasing them in a flash.

Scooping Glenda into his arms, he returned to Natsuki's side, grinning.

"All taken care of. I'll be taking this little dragon with me. And by the way, Lion King Agency—you owe me, big time. Well, I'm off!"

With that, Shuo vanished once more.

Natsuki watched him go, resigned. The Agency was going to pay dearly for this favor.

With every crisis resolved, Shuo's life in this world had become almost idyllic.

The Second Primogenitor now served as his loyal subordinate. Nagisa and Gajda Kukulkan had both become his companions. Shuo was the undisputed ruler here.

Folia, the eldest princess of Aldegian, had confirmed her relationship with him. Kanon Kanase joined the ranks, and together they formed an empire no one dared provoke.

To strengthen ties after the Bee-Serpent incident, the Lion King Agency sent Natsuki—one of the Three Saints—straight to Shuo. He hadn't wasted the opportunity; had the others not intervened, he might've swept up the rest of the Saints as well.

Duty called, though, and the Saints had other missions. Shuo let it go—for now.

He didn't leave regrets behind. He found the lonely little loli, Eguchi Yuito, and promised her a happy life, always.

He wiped out every lingering threat—hidden witches from the Library LCO, the remnants of the Saint Annihilation Faction—he erased them all.

As a final gift, Shuo enhanced his companions' bodies, granting them the purest dragon blood and near-immortal lifespans.

For the first time, everything felt whole. No regrets. No unfinished business. Only peace.

Soon, Shuo stood atop the old tower, gazing down at the bustling streets of Itogami Island. A wave of nostalgia washed over him.

I've spent so long here—it feels like a dream. But now, it's time to go home.

This time, he wouldn't bring Asagi and the others to the Devil DxD world. It was unfamiliar territory, and the timing wasn't right. Besides, the crisis in that world still lingered.

Once he'd solved everything in DxD, he'd build a portal—one that let girls from both worlds visit each other whenever they pleased.

Drawing a deep breath, Shuo ordered the system to open the gateway.

A pitch-black door appeared before him. He took one last look around, then stepped through.

Elsewhere, in the DxD world, a ripple of darkness twisted through the air.

A figure emerged—Shuo, returned from his journey.

"Finally back in the Devil world… Feels like forever," he muttered, stretching.

He glanced up, surprised to find night had fallen.

So time doesn't stop during world travel, but it flows so slowly…

He'd spent ages in the Strike the Blood world, yet only hours had passed here.

After a long, quiet moment, Shuo turned to head home. Then he paused, remembering—

He still had three unopened black gift boxes.
