"DXD: Multiverse Journey"Chapter 219: King's Game—Tohka's Utter Despair

The school bell rang—a sharp, familiar jingle signaling the end of another day. Tamae-sensei rose from her seat, scanning the classroom with a gentle smile.

"All right, everyone. Class dismissed."

With that, she and Reine Murasame exited together, leaving the students to their own devices.

Origami, seated to Shuo's left, glanced his way. Without a word, she stood and walked straight over.

"What's up, Origami?" Shuo asked, curious.

Origami's gaze flicked to Tohka, who clung possessively to Shuo's arm. Her tone was flat, almost clinical:

"Come to my place tonight."

Tohka's grip tightened. Instinctively, she bristled, eyes narrowed in suspicion.

"Why does Shuo need to go to your house?"

Origami barely blinked. "We're having a party."

Tohka's eyes locked onto Origami, voice firm and unyielding.

"I'm coming too."

"No. You can't."

"Why not?"

"Because that's my time alone with Shuo. I won't let you mess it up."

Origami's eyes glinted, calculating. She was determined to stake her claim, no matter what.

But Tohka wasn't backing down. Her face was set, her stance defiant.

"If you won't let me go, then Shuo's not going either."

Origami frowned, sizing up the situation. After a moment's thought—and a glance at Shuo—she relented.

"…Fine. You can come."

Honestly, Shuo had to admit: Japanese school days ended ridiculously early. Three in the afternoon and he was free—unlike his past life, where mornings started at five and classes dragged on till ten at night. The thought made him want to cry.

Back home, he whipped up dinner for the girls—just in case tonight's "party" ran late or he had to dash out for some demon-slaying. By the time he'd cleaned up and checked his phone, it was already half past five. Origami's club activities were done. Time to head out.

He and Tohka made their way to Origami's apartment building. Shuo found the door marked "Tobiichi" and pressed the bell.

The door swung open almost instantly.

Standing there was Origami—dressed in a white maid outfit, thigh-high stockings gleaming, the perfect "absolute territory" between skirt and lace. She bowed, voice soft but formal:

"Welcome home, Master."

Her eyes landed on Tohka, still clinging to Shuo's arm, and she shot a glare. But thinking of her backup plan, Origami relaxed—a sly smile tugging at her lips.

Shuo couldn't help but appreciate the view. That outfit was lethal.

He and Tohka stepped inside.

"Master, please have some tea."

Origami knelt gracefully on the tatami, tray in hand, her movements precise and elegant. The faint scent of fresh soap lingered in the air—she'd clearly just showered.

She set two cups before them. Tohka's was plain—just hot water. Shuo's, on the other hand, was a strange color, bubbling ominously.

He eyed the cup suspiciously. Was Origami trying to poison him?

Origami explained, deadpan:

"It's a health drink. For energy."

Shuo bristled.

"Are you doubting my stamina, Origami? I could go all night and not break a sweat."

Origami's lips curled into a smile.

"Then you're not allowed to sleep tonight."

Shuo's interest piqued. Was she planning to keep him up until sunrise?

Before he could ask, Origami appeared with several cases of beer and a small box containing just three cards. Both Shuo and Tohka stared, confused.

Origami clarified:

"King's Game. Whoever draws the highest card is king and gives an order. The others must obey."

"If you refuse, you have to drink a whole bottle of beer."

King's Game? That sounded fun. Shuo's mind flashed back to those wild anime episodes he'd watched in his previous life.

"Sounds good. Let's play!"

He grinned, already plotting what kind of orders he'd give if he got lucky.

Origami's eyes sparkled as she shuffled the cards and set the box down.

Each of them drew a card. Shuo glanced at his—number five. Not the king.

"So, who's king?"

Origami revealed her card—number nine, emblazoned with a crown. She announced, voice clear and commanding:

"I order Number Three to lift her skirt and show her panties for sixty seconds."

"What?!"

Tohka, clutching the number three card, went scarlet. Her voice trembled with outrage and embarrassment.

"Origami Tobiichi! How could you give such a perverted order?!"

Origami gestured coolly to the beer.

"If you refuse, you drink the whole bottle. Your choice."

She watched Tohka, eyes glinting with mischief.

Tohka hesitated. She'd never touched alcohol before, but she'd heard enough horror stories from the Three Phantom Gods. If she got drunk, Shuo would be in trouble.

Origami looked far too pleased with herself. Gritting her teeth, Tohka forced herself to lift her skirt.

A pair of cat-print panties flashed into view—cute, mortifying, and impossible to miss.

Origami muttered, a little disappointed:

"Guess I went too easy this time."

Sixty seconds ticked by. By the end, Tohka was red from head to neck, like a boiled shrimp.

If it had just been Shuo, maybe she could've coped. But exposing herself in front of Origami? Utter humiliation.

"Fine! Next round—I'm drawing the king!"

Tohka slammed her skirt down, glaring daggers at Origami.

The second round began.

"Huh?! Why am I the lowest again?!"

Tohka stared at her card, betrayed by fate. Her earlier bravado crumbled instantly.

Origami flipped her card—king, once more.

Tohka's face fell. She looked at Origami with pure despair, bracing herself for whatever embarrassing command was coming next.
