Da-da-da.
On the ring road in Seoul, South Korea, a massive silver-white metal container dropped from the sky.
The container split open from within, revealing rows of clone super-soldiers in white interstellar combat suits. Each carried strange energy weapons—some resembled scepters, their tips firing blue beams of concentrated power.
These clone soldiers originated from the Savior Project, a secret experiment from Fury's hidden base. They were created using Nick Fury's cells combined with Captain America Steve Rogers' super-soldier serum. Collectively, they were known as Fury Soldiers, each equipped with interstellar-grade combat weapons.
Their suits and firearms were reverse-engineered from Chitauri technology salvaged during the Battle of New York. Armed with advanced gear and supported by bio-intelligent assistant brains, they were capable of fighting in any environment.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Their eyes flashed red as combat data scrolled across their retinas. Each target-lock ring snapped onto Absorber No. 1 and his allies. They opened fire, unleashing a volley of blue energy beams.
"Be careful. The energy from those weapons matches HYDRA's Tesseract tech."
Ultron smashed Iron Man aside, then fired a missile from his arm while shouting a warning to Absorber No. 1.
"The Crimson Wall!"
Scarlet Witch Wanda's expression hardened. Her left hand glowed with chaos energy, forming a crimson barrier. The blue beams clashed against it with a hiss, vanishing into nothingness.
"A teleportation gun? Interesting." Absorber No. 1 sneered coldly. "These clones must be controlled by someone else. If I'm right… it can only be Nick Fury."
Still, he was cautious. Who knew if being hit would teleport him to some desolate planet? Better to call for backup.
"Number Three… it's time for the big guy."
He pressed a finger to his temple, syncing his consciousness with Mechanic No. 3.
Boom!
The truck doors burst open as Mechanic No. 3 took flight, racing to No. 1's side. With a nod, No. 1 departed the battlefield without a word.
"From now on, offense and defense switch."
Mechanic No. 3 had been granted the power to control machinery by Allens himself. Glancing at Iron Man soaring above, he tapped a finger on Stark's Mark VI armor.
"Boss, something's hijacking my systems!" Friday's voice blared urgently in Stark's helmet. "The suit is out of control! Connection lost!"
Click! Click! Click!
Armor plates peeled off Tony's body one by one, flying toward Mechanic No. 3 and reassembling around him. Stark plummeted helplessly toward the ground.
"Shit! Tony!"
Thor hurled Mjolnir and swooped down, catching Stark before he hit the pavement. Both landed beside Phil Coulson.
"Coulson, you're alive?!" Tony gasped, half-laughing. "If this weren't the middle of a war, I'd buy you a drink. Hell, I don't even have a suit anymore—guess I'll just drink and sulk instead."
Despite his sarcasm, Tony's smile was genuine. Seeing Coulson alive was a rare bit of good news. Still, the fact his armor had been ripped away left him seething.
"Fury Soldiers—show them what you've got."
Coulson raised a control panel, displaying streams of combat data.
At his command, dozens of Fury Soldiers sprinted forward, hitting speeds of 40 kilometers per hour. Their physical abilities rivaled Captain America's, but with their weapons, they were even deadlier.
"Steve, you see this?" Hawkeye muttered. "Guess we're not so special anymore."
Natasha Romanoff nodded grimly. The Fury Soldiers' effectiveness was both shocking and unsettling.
Steve Rogers' expression tightened. The serum-enhanced body he'd once considered unmatched was now being replicated—surpassed—by clones.
Mechanic No. 3, clad in Tony's stolen armor, raised both hands and unleashed a barrage of repulsor blasts.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
But the beams splashed harmlessly against the Fury Soldiers' armor. The suits, crafted from unknown materials, absorbed the hits with ease.
"Number Six… teleport the big one in."
Mechanic No. 3 synced with Duplication No. 6, stationed at the Sokovia base.
Yes—before contacting Dr. Helen Cho, Allens had left a duplicate behind in Sokovia: Transmitter No. 6.
Deep underground, No. 6 monitored Quicksilver's speed data when the call came. Blue energy rippled across his body. He placed a hand on the massive steel giant beside him, opening a quantum bridge.
Above Seoul, a massive blue portal tore open. The silhouette of the Sokovia base flickered within, then a monstrous shape emerged.
The Leviathan.
Its scarlet eyes snapped open as Mechanic No. 3 extended a hand. The beast roared, its colossal jaws opening wide.
This Leviathan was larger than the ones that invaded New York. HYDRA had collected the fallen corpses, stitched them together with their own technology, and created a beast twice the size.
The Leviathan had returned—and it was more terrifying than ever.
