Boom.
On Earth, at the Sokovia Ultron base, the Regeneration Cradle in the top-level laboratory exploded. Shirtless, Allens flew out of the cradle, suspended quietly in mid-air.
At this moment, the Mind Stone was embedded in Allens' forehead, making him appear both majestic and powerful. A cloak, similar to Vision's mind cloak, draped over his shoulders as his right hand gently rested there.
Click, click.
Allens raised his hands, condensing a mass of Mind Shockwaves in his palms. The Mind Stone on his forehead flickered as he released the energy outward.
"Excellent… my body is finally integrating with the Mind Stone," Allens murmured, closing his eyes to feel the changes. Through the Mind Stone, he realized he was now immune to all forms of mind control. The stone had built a spiritual barrier around his brain, protecting his consciousness.
Moreover, Allens could release Mind Shockwaves from his hands. These waves inflicted both physical and mental damage, making them an incredibly powerful weapon.
Yet Allens' only regret was that his integration with the Mind Stone was still preliminary; only a trace of its full spiritual power was accessible to him.
"Mr. Allens, welcome back!"
In the laboratory, Dr. Helen Cho rushed forward, her eyes wide as she stared at the Mind Stone on Allens' forehead.
"Boss, welcome back!"
Ultron and Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, also approached simultaneously, their expressions filled with excitement. Wanda could feel a unique closeness to Allens, as her own powers had originated from the Mind Stone.
Ding.
Detection complete: Host has obtained the power of the Mind Stone; special mission unlocked.
Special Mission: Collect all six Infinity Stones. Time is unlimited; rewards unknown.
Detection complete: Host has partially integrated the Mind Stone; unlocking super abilities from the Mind system.
Ding.
Congratulations, host, for obtaining Matt Parkman's Telepathy ability.
Ding.
Congratulations, host, for receiving two additional random Super Abilities.
Allens' eyes flickered. His soul system—the Hero Rise system—had automatically granted him Matt Parkman's Telepathy. With it, he could read minds, sense thoughts, manipulate minds, and even, in later stages, possess other people spiritually.
Buzz, buzz.
The Telepathy ability activated, filling the previously silent lab with murmurs:
"Mr. Allens is so handsome… if only I could be with him."
"This feeling of closeness… incredible."
"Evolve… end… destroy."
Allens immediately recognized the voices of Dr. Cho, Wanda, and Ultron.
After experimenting with Telepathy, Allens extracted the remaining two super abilities.
Ding.
Congratulations, host, for obtaining Super Strength.
A terrifying force surged through Allens' body; his strength increased exponentially.
Ding.
Congratulations, host, for obtaining the Super Penetration ability.
The system beeped as Allens felt the molecular density of his body shift. With Super Penetration, he could pass through any solid object at will. In essence, he could survive even a nuclear blast by adjusting his molecular structure.
With both Super Strength and Super Penetration, Allens' confidence for his next plan soared.
"Ultron, how's the Sokovia transformation coming along?" Allens asked, slowly descending to the ground.
After being upgraded with Vibranium, Ultron had grown even stronger. Nearly three meters tall, he looked imposing.
"SIR! Sokovia is fully renovated. Thousands of vertical jets have been installed, sufficient to meet your requirements," Ultron reported, his voice rising and falling with excitement. He imagined Sokovia lifting off and crashing like a meteorite.
Through Telepathy, Allens perceived Ultron's thoughts, but he remained indifferent.
What truly concerned Allens was Thanos' disappearance. His prior encounter with Thanos in the Mind Realm had revealed that this timeline was not the main one for Avengers: Infinity War—it was a divergent timeline. In other words, Thanos' era did not exist here.
The galaxy, without its emperor, would descend into chaos. Wars would erupt across the stars—and Allens intended to claim a share of power, perhaps even sitting upon Thanos' throne.
But first, the Avengers had to be dealt with. They were no longer a threat in this timeline, and it was time to reap the fruits of victory.
"Wanda, it's time for revenge," Allens said, turning to Wanda with a smile. His cold voice made her eyes flash. Wanda and Pietro Maximoff both despised Tony Stark and the Avengers.
"All right. The Avengers will strike again—but this time, it will be the end."
Allens' body sank into the ground at his feet, gradually penetrating the floor to the next level, where countless Ultron robots were deployed.
Meanwhile, in Washington, D.C., Nick Fury's secret base was abuzz. The Avengers had gathered, faces grim: Hawkeye Barton, Natasha Romanoff, Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Thor, and Bruce Banner. They were strategizing on how to counter Allens' super abilities.
"First, we need to address his control over machinery," Tony Stark said solemnly. "I've simulated countless scenarios where Allens manipulates equipment, and I've specially designed a steel armor to counter him—the Anti-Allens Armor."
A sleek silver armor appeared on the central display. Compared to Stark's usual gold-and-red suit, this armor was more restrained, yet far more intimidating.
