Asgard — beneath Odin's Palace, the God King had created an isolated dimensional space to seal away the countless treasures he'd acquired during his millennia of conquest across the realms.
Odin's treasure vault was the most heavily guarded place in all of Asgard. The defenses were impenetrable to outsiders — but for Loki, the God of Mischief, it was a place he could enter and leave at will. And now that Allens had taken Loki's form, he too could come and go freely.
The Asgardian guards and even the Destroyer automaton forged by Odin himself were useless before Allens. Loki's magic allowed him to slip through dimensional gaps, a technique he often used to move secretly between Asgard's inner and outer realms.
Appearing silently inside Odin's treasure vault, Allens dropped his illusion and reverted to his true form. His eyes gleamed with curiosity.
The treasures before him were extraordinary, but what drew his attention most were two legendary artifacts — the Eternal Flame and the Infinity Gauntlet.
As he stepped forward, the first item that caught his eye was a stone tablet covered in strange markings — irregular and ancient, almost like an obelisk but asymmetrical in shape.
This relic, known as the Life Card, had been seized by Odin during his conquest of Atlantis. It was engraved with the fabled "Life Equation," a formula said to grant evolution into a higher, supreme form of life — and even the power to resurrect.
Click.
Allens pressed his hand against his chest, and the diamond-shaped Arc Reactor embedded there released a stream of nanobots. The swarm climbed up his arm and formed a sleek metallic glove.
Click.
He grasped the Life Card. The containment device immediately flared with energy, trying to melt his hand — but the nano-glove absorbed the heat effortlessly, leaving Allens unharmed.
"J.A.R.V.I.S., record the data on the Life Card."
Allens tapped his left ear, and a pair of translucent, magic-forged glasses appeared on his face. They connected directly to the J.A.R.V.I.S. AI backup stored in his Arc Reactor, and streams of data instantly filled his vision.
"Yes, sir. Scanning module activated. Analyzing inscriptions and constructing linguistic database…"
J.A.R.V.I.S.'s voice echoed in his ear as holographic glyphs and diagrams formed in front of him, building a complete 3D model of the artifact.
"Translate the Atlantean script and interpret the Life Equation," Allens commanded calmly.
Releasing the stone, he continued deeper into the vault. Along both sides, relics of untold power shimmered faintly under the chamber's light.
The first was a frost-covered relic — the Casket of Ancient Winters, the divine weapon of Jotunheim. Once unleashed, it could bring forth an eternal winter capable of freezing all Nine Realms. It was this very artifact that King Laufey had once used in his attempt to plunge Earth into an ice age.
To Allens' right rested another strange object — a pale, crystalline eye mounted within an ornate frame.
"The Warlock's Eye… Odin seized it during his conquest of the Nine Realms. It's said to resemble the Eye of Agamotto — capable of glimpsing the future," he murmured, intrigued. "Though from the looks of it, it doesn't seem particularly impressive."
Lifting it carefully, Allens studied the relic. The Warlock's Eye could indeed foresee the future — but only in a singular, linear fashion. It could observe, not alter.
He smirked faintly and placed it aside.
As he ventured deeper, the temperature rose sharply. Ahead, blazing within an Uru-metal containment vessel, burned a magnificent inferno — the Eternal Flame of Muspelheim.
It was said to possess everlasting energy. As long as the Nine Realms existed, the Eternal Flame would never die. Only the Flame Giant Surtur could withstand its power without being consumed.
To Allens, the Eternal Flame represented more than destruction — it represented rebirth. Even small fragments of it could resurrect the dead.
"Perfect. The Eternal Flame will serve me well."
Nanotech armor covered Allens' arms as energy shields formed around his hands. He reached into the container, isolating a small portion of the Eternal Flame and sealing it within a compressed field.
Click, click.
A cluster of nanobots swirled together, forming a metallic orb that encapsulated the living flame completely.
"Ultron, guard the Eternal Flame for me."
Allens raised his hand. The pendant around his neck — in reality, a compact starship — floated up. At his command, the sealed orb shrank and was absorbed into the ship through a nano-link interface.
Though Allens hadn't yet mastered Pym Particle technology, he had successfully developed quantum-docking nano-structures, allowing him to store and stabilize miniature artifacts.
With the Eternal Flame secured, he advanced toward the center of the vault.
Hovering before him was a mysterious orb — violet on the outside, glowing faintly blue within — suspended above a metal dais.
Recognition flashed in Allens' eyes.
"The Egmoto Sphere…" he breathed. "A relic once owned by the Ancient One, captured by Odin long ago."
This device, forged from other-dimensional energy, could sense magic and danger from across realms. In simpler terms — it could detect the presence or intrusion of beings like Dormammu from the Dark Dimension.
To Allens, this was a priceless tool. He knew full well that the dimensional entities — Dormammu, the Lord of the Crimson Cosmos, and the Chaos Demon who had empowered the Scarlet Witch — were all far beyond his current reach.
He pocketed the Egmoto Sphere and conjured a flawless illusion of it in its place. Odin would never notice the difference — not without deep inspection.
Finally, Allens approached the object that drew him here in the first place. A massive, gleaming golden glove rested before him — the Infinity Gauntlet.
A slow grin spread across his face.
"At last… the Infinity Gauntlet."
He chuckled softly, eyes glinting with ambition.
In the future, when Hela would break free and enter this vault, she'd sneer and claim Odin's gauntlet was fake. But Allens knew the truth — the one before him was real.
Because this very Infinity Gauntlet had been taken from a dead Thanos in the future — and brought back by Captain America himself.
