Breaking free from the restraints on her legs, Sang Que finally detached herself from the corpse heap. Although there was apparently nothing around, she could swim as if buoyed by water.
She swam all the way to the top and peered out through light-slitted gaps between the bodies. Outside was all water, and sunlight penetrated the surface, creating a shimmering effect.
Judging by the brightness, Sang Que estimated that the distance to the water surface wasn't particularly far. With full force, she could instantly teleport out through the ghost realm.
The main point was that all there were corpses here; where exactly was the true form of the Water Ghost? Or perhaps this massive entity composed of the corpses was the Water Ghost itself.
After careful consideration, Sang Que decided that her best option was to stay here, subtly developing by absorbing the Water Ghost's ghost slaves, thereby gradually weakening its power.
