Caleb Lockwood heard her question and paused for a moment, coincidentally encountering a red light, he glanced sideways at the girl beside him.
With a tone of skepticism, he asked uncertainly, "Are you... really capable?"
He remembered last time at his place when she was cutting vegetables, she almost cut her finger off, couldn't even hold the knife steady. She was fine, but it scared him.
Obviously, she couldn't cook.
Hearing Caleb's doubtful tone, Serena Sutton felt underestimated. Clearly, in Caleb's heart, she must be really clumsy.
In order to regain her dignity, Serena responded decisively, "Of course I can, it's just cooking, can it be harder than my professional courses?"
Caleb still wasn't entirely convinced, his crimson lips moved as if to say more, but Serena interrupted him.
Her tone was somewhat fierce, "Don't say anything, just trust me."
Caleb's eyes revealed a hint of amusement, his voice gentle, "I'm not in a rush, take your time."
