When the first movie ended and the credits rolled An Jian stood up with her hands on her hips and elbows out, in front of the TV in a heroic pose "That wasn't so bad, lets start the next movie" then walked over and handed Detective Cheng the second DVD.
Detective Cheng smiled in disbelief but changed out the DVD for the second movie.
As the second movie started An Jian noticed the light glare from the bright living room made some parts of the TV hard to see and turned off the lights herself now accustomed to how light switches work.
Detective Cheng turned to An Jian "You sure you want it this dark?"
An Jian nodded "Yeah I can't miss anything if Li Zhao wants me to see this, does he want me to fight monsters? Does that mean vampires are real"
An Jian leaned back into the sofa terrified.
Detective Cheng "I'm not sure why he wants you to watch this, but there are no such things as vampires only people pretending to be monsters"
An Jian had become use to leaning against the Detective as they watch silently agreeing they wouldn't make it weird between them.
The second movie started off slow even An Jian smiled commenting "This movie is not that scary"
Detective Cheng checked the reviews for the movie online, this was actually the better rated of the 2 movie with reports of it being scary for a vampire movie. Detective Cheng smirked "Brave General this maybe the calm before the storm".
As he said this the main character in the movie was stuck in a nightmare loop. She woke up and turned to stretch to find her own corpse was beside her causing her to wake up from the bad dream, then when she went to the bathroom in an instant it went from day to night finding her self standing in the dark alone when a figure started to come from the dark room behind her. She woke up again back in her bed when she turned to her left a dark figure stood by the window asking "Let me in". The perspective then changes to the point of view of the girl and she sees her late mother is asking to let her in. The scene then changes back her dark room with a figure outside asking "Let me in"
An Jian holding onto Detective Cheng's arm whispering "Don't open it.."
Knock Knock...
This sound didn't come from the movie and Detective Cheng and An Jian jumped off the sofa and fell to the floor terrified looking at the dark figure outside the balcony window, asking "Let me in"Detective Cheng stood up, recognizing the dark figure was no other than Li Zhao
An Jian gathered herself and stood up recognizing it was Li Zhao as well
An Jian cautiously walked up to the window seeing Li Zhao standing behind the window glass with a mischievous smile.
Detective Cheng was actually a little unsettled because he was on the 5th floor and wasn't sure how Li Zhao got up here.
Knock Knock "Let me in"
Detective Cheng stood across from Li Zhao standing outside with a slightly menacing smile. Detective Cheng then looked back at An Jian who nodded to let him in.
Detective Cheng slid open the balcony sliding door.
Li Zhao with his grey stylish hair, purple silk dress shirt and stylish black leather pants was in contrast with Detective Cheng's simple white T shirt and grey sweat pants. Both tall and handsome but a bit of opposites.
Detective Cheng with an unwavering presence "What are you doing here Li Zhao?" staring Li Zhao down.
An Jian walked up and peeked out from behind Detective Cheng.
Li Zhao with a bigger smile "Aren't you going to let me in?"
An Jian and Detective Cheng both looked at each other, remembering the vampire movie rules "Never invite them in" An Jian stepped forward with chopsticks and pressed them into a cross "What are you doing here Li Zhao?".
Li Zhao stepped back grimacing in pain.
An Jian and Detective Cheng looked at each other shocked.
Li Zhao then started laughing and walked through the balcony doorway side stepping around the stunned Detective Cheng and An Jian and sat down on the sofa.
"I'm glad the movies weren't wasted you are learning something" Li Zhao then pointed to the TV, "shall we continue?
Detective Cheng looked at Li Zhao sternly "What are you doing here?"
Li Zhao smirked "Am I interrupting, I came by because I thought you two would have lots of questions for me, should I go then?"
An Jian ran forward to block Li Zhao from leaving "No don't go, tell me about An Hao"
Li Zhao turned to face the TV, "How about we finish the movie first, this was quite scary the first time I watched it"
An Jian feeling Li Zhao was pretty stubborn sat back down in the middle of the sofa and looked at Detective Cheng and motioned for him to sit down as well.
Detective Cheng looked at Li Zhao suspiciously and sat down beside An Jian who was in the middle between him and Li Zhao.
Li Zhao called out "Go back a bit, you are missing the good part"
Detective Cheng backed the movie to where they left off then got up and asked An Jian "Lets change seat". An Jian waved him off and patted the sofa for him to sit back down "It's fine lets watch the movie"
As the movie continued, Detective Cheng's observed that Li Zhao was flinching in sync with An Jian to the scary scenes. This gave him some comfort knowing Li Zhao was not completely invulnerable
When the movie ended and An Jian turned on the lights, Detective Cheng and An Jian were shocked to find Li Zhao teary eyed.
The movie ended with the heroin sacrificing herself by stabbing the head vampire in the chest with a wooden steak then holding him down so they burnt up in the sunlight together as the heroin's boyfriend watched helplessly too injured to help.
An Jian finally asked "Why are we watching these movies and where is An Hao"
