Chapter 110 - Ch.110

Hearing Seiya's comment, Maki, who had just recovered from her surprise, felt a lingering stiffness in her arm, her expression heavy with seriousness.

"Fairly competent in swordsmanship?" If an amateur had said that, she might have believed Seiya's nonsense. But to an insider like Maki, the way he blocked her Shiranui Style strike was proof that his skill was far beyond "fairly competent." Frankly, even from that single exchange, Maki recognized that Seiya's sword skill was every bit as high as his martial arts proficiency!

He could command powerful Shikigami, and his mastery of both martial arts and swordsmanship was incredibly high! Furthermore, the ease with which he integrated Cursed Energy into his physical techniques, even condensing it into a blade, demonstrated an extraordinary level of Cursed Energy control.

For a Sorcerer with such innate talent and physical capability to be an ordinary high school student who only recently encountered Cursed Energy struck not only Maki but also Principal Yaga as utterly absurd. While Yuta Okkotsu was a powerful wild Sorcerer, those in the know understood that his power was largely due to the Special Grade Curse, Rika. Seiya's situation was different; even discounting external powers like his Shikigami, the strength Seiya displayed on his own was already comparable to many Grade 1 Sorcerers.

Panda and Inumaki were out of commission. The only ones left with the strength to fight were Maki and Fushiguro. After exchanging glances, they rushed Seiya from the left and right, respectively.

Facing the pincer attack, Seiya gripped his Cursed Energy longsword and plunged back into the fight. Honestly, a blade made purely of Cursed Energy was naturally inferior to a true Cursed Tool in both utility and hardness. But Seiya was currently broke; he would love to use a Cursed Tool longsword, but he simply didn't have the resources.

Frankly speaking, Maki and Fushiguro's physical abilities and close-quarters combat skills were already superior to most Sorcerers. Unfortunately, Seiya was stronger than both of them.

After another ten minutes of intense fighting, even in a two-on-one scenario, Maki and Fushiguro were defeated. In that final battle, Seiya proved that his swordsmanship was, just as Maki suspected, nowhere near "fairly competent!"

The New Grade 2 Sorcerer

Looking at the downed second-years and Fushiguro, Principal Yaga wiped his sunglasses, unsure what to say. Frankly, Seiya had provided one surprise after another since the moment they met. With the second-years of Tokyo Jujutsu High defeated by Seiya, the entrance exam naturally had to end there. Yaga couldn't very well ask a Special Grade Sorcerer like Gojo or Yuta Okkotsu to step in.

As for challenging Seiya himself... Yaga genuinely felt uncertain. The new waves push the old, and with the strength Seiya just displayed, Yaga wasn't confident he could secure a victory, even if he fought personally. And even if he managed a narrow win, given Seiya's talent, the boy would likely surpass him soon after enrolling.

Seiya's final Sorcerer Grade rating was Grade 2 Sorcerer. With his demonstrated abilities, a Grade 1 rating would have been warranted, but the Grade 1 designation required approval from the Jujutsu Headquarters and wasn't something Jujutsu High could decide unilaterally. To become a Grade 1 Sorcerer, one needs to meet the strength standard and complete a certain number of missions. Since Seiya was a freshman who hadn't exorcised many Curses yet, the higher-ups would never agree to immediately designate him as a Grade 1 Sorcerer, even if he met the strength requirements.

"I'm genuinely curious how you trained. You're a monster at both swordsmanship and martial arts. My name is Maki Zenin, a second-year at Tokyo Jujutsu High. If you ever want to spar or need a training partner, come find me."

"You can just call me Panda. As you can see, I'm a panda, but I have normal human cognition and speech. By the way, do you prefer girls with bigger chests or smaller chests?"

"Mapo Tofu~"

Although the entrance exam was bizarre, it allowed Seiya and Itadori to quickly meet their second-year seniors.

A few days after transferring and officially becoming Sorcerers in their pure black Jujutsu uniforms, Seiya and Itadori were woken up early by Gojo Satoru. Today, they had to go into the city to pick up the last new first-year student.

"Gojo-sensei, Maki-senpai told me that your Gojo Clan is supposed to be a famous Sorcerer family. If you're famous, you should be rich, right? Why are we squeezing onto the subway?"

Tokyo is one of the most bustling cities, and the subway is one of the most common modes of transportation for commuters, so the population density was immense. Itadori, who was excited to see the sights of a big city, had foolishly packed a large number of bags. When the four of them squeezed onto the subway, Itadori's strangely smelling backpack ended up pressed against Seiya's face.

When they finally arrived at the Tokyo station, Gojo, who had skimmed class funds to buy his favorite Kikufuku sweets, naturally didn't want to admit they took the crowded subway because he was short on cash. He quickly diverted the topic: "Your last classmate is a very cute girl! She's from a more rural area, but isn't there a saying that country girls are generally gentler and more unassuming?"

Hearing Gojo's words, Seiya and the other two looked down and kept silent, no longer trusting a single word the man said. Gojo had previously claimed Tokyo Jujutsu High was a famous Tokyo school, only for it to be built in the middle of the mountains (it was only famous within the Jujutsu world). As for "beauties everywhere"... Seiya and Itadori had been enrolled for a few days and realized the school's student body was pathetically small! There weren't no beauties—Maki-senpai, without her glasses, had great looks and figure—but to call it "everywhere" was pure nonsense. The third-years seemed constantly busy, and between the first- and second-years, they couldn't even fill two tables for mahjong. With only Maki as a female student, where did he get "beauties everywhere" from?
