Chapter 54 - Chapter 54: Reputation and Advancement

Following Magister Nallorath, Leylin arrived at the antechamber of the Silvermoon Council.

Today was the day for the new round of mages to register as associate mages of the Silvermoon Council, and the antechamber was packed with mages.

Leylin waited in the antechamber to submit his form while Magister Nallorath made his way through the crowd and into the inner hall. Besides registering as an associate mage with Leylin, Magister Nallorath had more important matters to attend to in the Silvermoon Council.

In the antechamber, the associate mage registration area was occupied by a high-ranking mage. Next to this high-ranking mage stood a magic cube made of nearly a hundred transparent crystals. For each student's information, the high-ranking mage would use one of these magic cubes and preserve it intact.

Half an hour later, it was finally Leylin's turn. Leylin had already attracted the attention of many mages in this antechamber, and it continued to do so now.

The high-ranking mage took Leylin's form, which clearly listed the special spells Leylin currently possessed, his mastery methods, and his magical prowess.

The high-ranking mage carefully read the information on the form, his right hand shimmered completely converting it into magical information and storing it in the magic crystal cube. As he recorded the information, his face was noticeably grim.

Absurd level of magical prowess, two spell masteries, dual specialization of fire and arcane, and his prowess was also at high ranked magister level. The high-ranking mage's spirit perked up and he was in a trance. After completing the record, the mage smiled politely at Leylin and gestured for the next mage to come forward.

This smile made Leylin laugh and cry, and he couldn't tell whether the high-rank mage was laughing or crying.

After submitting the form, Leylin followed the instructions and entered the inner hall. As an associate mage, Leylin needed to find a member of the Silvermoon Council to serve as as an adjutant.

In the inner hall, there stood six councilors, including Dar'Khan. Of course, Leylin completely ignored him.

Perhaps Leylin's vision was not good enough, a pair of slim hands were placed on his shoulders, "My new student, it seems you need to make a choice."

Aminel's question made Leylin make up his mind immediately. Compared with other mage councilors, Aminel is the best choice as his overseer.

For some reason, Leylin now sees Aminel with a different charm today. Unlike the beautiful and playful mentor yesterday, Aminel is very solemn today.

It is hard to imagine that the entire certification of the affiliated mages lasted until noon.

Fifteen mages, including Leylin, followed Aminel into their own magic temple. A two-story elven building.

Although it is not big, most of the facilities here are exquisite and tidy. Especially the purple veil hanging at the entrance of the temple, unlike other places, there are a lot of agates hanging on the veil.

These agates will flash at a certain frequency, obviously enchanted.

That's right, Aminel is an outstanding enchanter. Last night, Leylin had learned a great deal about enchantment.

As the affiliated mages entered the temple, Aminel addressed them with some rather official remarks. Leylin disliked such lengthy speeches, so he selected the most important information.

Apart from some foreshadowing and organization history, the only thing worthy of Leylin's attention was the Silvermoon Council's reputation system. This was a standard for advancement for each affiliate mage and councilor.

To become a councilor, an affiliate mage must not only possess the qualifications of a high-level mage but also possess a certain amount of reputation points.

Leylin was no stranger to the reputation system. After the students got to know each other, today's affiliate mage certification concluded.

Tomorrow, the affiliate mages would face the prospects of entering the Silvermoon Council to carry out missions or performing other auxiliary work.

Leylin showed no intention of leaving, remaining seated on the bench in the temple.

Aminel sat beside Leylin, deliberately keeping a distance from him, "What's wrong? Do you have anything else to do?" "

Leylin asked straight to the point, "Teacher, can you tell me how this reputation system works and how to get a considerable score in a short period of time?"

Being called a mentor by this guy, Aminel frowned slightly. She looked at Leylin and said, "Don't think about becoming a Councilor in one go. The work at the Silvermoon Council is a gradual process. You need to accumulate slowly and then grow."

"I understand, teacher, but I am very confident in myself." Leylin continued.

Aminel has read the information of all the affiliate mages she led, and Leylin's basic information exceeded her imagination. To be frank, when she was just joining, her basic information was not even one-tenth of Leylin's capabilities.

"Well, then you have to listen carefully, student." Aminel said playfully.

Leylin smiled and indicated that he was listening carefully.

"The Silvermoon Council has always valued knowledge and innovation, so if a mage can come up with some new theoretical basis, he can get a decent reputation point. Points are determined by the level of magical innovation used, ranging from approximately 50 to 250. Furthermore, certain critical tasks and quests also earn corresponding points, with these being lower, ranging from 25 to 100. Then there are the daily tasks, which earn the least points, only about 1-2 points per day." Aminel patiently explained to Leylin.

"So how many points are needed to become a councilor of the Silvermoon Council?" Leylin asked seriously.

Aminel looked at Leylin questioningly and smiled, "Are you serious?"

"Of course."

"7,000 points, that's my standard." Aminel didn't mean to look down on Leylin. Instead, she felt a sense of admiration for him. Of course, this wasn't the first time she had felt this way.

After asking these questions, Leylin changed the subject. He took out a necklace he'd purchased yesterday from the Bazaar. Drawing on what he'd learned yesterday, he'd enchanted it with the "Illusion" enchantment.

In this world, enchantments aren't limited to weapons and equipment; simple items can also be enchanted, like the agate on the veil at the temple's entrance.

"A blue-quality enchantment! You mastered it in just one day. It looks quite impressive." Aminel held the gleaming necklace in her palm. Due to the enchantment, the sapphires carved into it had overlapping effects, creating a beautiful sight.

"By the way, this should be a gift for your beloved elf, right? Is it the Windrunner from the other day?" Aminel asked.

"Yes, it's for Vereesa." Leylin said honestly.

Aminel opened her hand and returned the necklace to Leylin. "It's beautiful. I think she'll like it."

"Does the teacher like this too?" Leylin pressed.

Aminel blushed, avoiding Leylin's gaze. She lowered her voice a bit, but still tried to act generous, "Of course, if you consider this as a gift for your mentor."

Leylin didn't hesitate. He took out another necklace from the magic package, this one identical to the one in Leylin's hand.

"Teacher, this is a gift for teaching me the art of enchanting." Leylin smiled.

Aminel blinked and accepted Leylin's gift. She had wanted to put it on immediately, but when she saw that Leylin had another necklace in his hand, she gave up the idea.
