A slender arm formed an irregular circle in front of her, and a dream gate, shrouded in a green mist, appeared before Ysera. Faintly visible on the other side of the dream gate was a massive mountain range.
Leylin knew things weren't so simple. Ysera had a strong purpose; she hadn't let Leylin choose where to go, but had already reserved this place for them.
"You planned this all along? I didn't promise you I had to go." Leylin knew this Emerald Queen was going to use him.
Ysera tilted her head slightly, smiling innocently, "But you need my help, don't you? I'm the master here, you know that."
"Are you threatening me?" Leylin sighed.
Ysera nodded, a smile playing on her lips, "That's right, you have no choice."
After less than ten seconds of consideration, Leylin said, "Okay, let's go now."
Together they stepped into the dream gate, arriving before the mountain range nestled between canyons. This area is also part of the world of Azeroth, but in the Emerald Dream, this area lacks the buildings and cities of Azeroth.
Ysera pushed Leylin away, saying, "Stand back a bit, I'm going to grow bigger."
Pfft! Is this supposed to be cute?
Leylin suppressed a laugh, keeping a sufficient distance from Ysera. From afar, he calmly watched as emerald light shimmered around Ysera's body. The Dragon Aspect of the green dragonflight, a green dragon enveloped in the breath of life and nature, appeared before Leylin.
Aside from the change in her physical form, Ysera retained her voice, which was very melodious.
"How come you're not afraid at all? Don't you think I look terrifying?" Ysera lowered her dragon head, looking at Leylin with her dark green eyes.
"Let's get down to business," Leylin said, stroking Ysera's chin. "This isn't funny at all."
"Hmph! I think you don't want to go back to your original world."
Leylin said, hands behind his back, "You want my help, so you brought me here. Honestly, we both need each other's help, so don't threaten me unilaterally. I'm not stupid."
The giant green dragon was angry, snorting and growling. The Dragon Aspect lifted Leylin up and slammed him onto its back. But Leylin was a mage; during the rapid descent, he cast a slowing spell on himself, gently landing on the dragon's back.
The dragon slowly rose, its body disappearing into the mountains. As if without a physical form, Leylin's vision went black, and he and Ysera vanished into the mountains simultaneously.
However, after the darkness, they were quickly greeted by light. The life force flowing around Ysera's body illuminated the interior of the mountain.
Soon, she created another Dream Gate. However, this door wasn't the gateway to the Emerald Dream, but rather a gateway to the world of Azeroth.
The green dragon materialized into human form, standing beside Leylin, pointing to the door and asking, "What do you see when you look out from this door?"
The other side of the dream gate revealed a city nestled in a mountain range, now occupied by orcs. The city's layout seemed familiar, especially the grand hall at the front—this was Grim Batol.
The dream gate slowly moved, finally stopping at the innermost part of the hall. It had found its optimal position.
"My sister, she looks like she's in pain," Ysera said sorrowfully.
Following the vision the dream gate gave Leylin, he saw a massive red dragon bound by enormous chains within the hall. An orc warlock dressed in shamanic attire held a golden disc, commanding the dragon.
"Your sister?" Leylin asked curiously.
"Alexstrasza, I've felt her pain since I awoke. These creatures from another world are exploiting her child," Ysera said angrily.
Since this is the Red Dragon Queen, then the warlock standing before her should be Nekros Skullcrasher. In his hand lies the artifact, the Demon Soul, a relic from the War of the Ancients, a fusion of the powers of four dragon guardians, except for Neltharion.
"You want me to save this enormous red dragon?" Leylin asked.
Ysera nodded, then shook her head. "Yes, you're here to save my sister, but more importantly, you must reclaim that artifact, the Dragon Soul, and give it to me." Ysera's request wasn't unreasonable.
"Okay, but you need to give me time." Leylin agreed.
"How long do you need? Is a nap enough for me?" Ysera asked.
A nap? Are you teasing me? Leylin looked at Ysera awkwardly.
Seeing the hesitation on Leylin's face, Ysera quickly waved her hand and said, "It's not what you think. A nap would take me at least a few years. In Azeroth, that's enough time."
Hearing this reply, Leylin felt a sense of relief.
"I promise you, but now you have to let me go back." Leylin said.
Ysera looked at Leylin with some displeasure and said, "Was your original world really that worth your longing for? In the Emerald Dream, such a peaceful and carefree world, you still seem so restless."
"To be honest, I like it here very much. But there are many things in Azeroth that I need to protect. You've stayed in this dream for too long; you probably can't understand that." Leylin said with a long sigh.
Ysera said nonchalantly, "Mortals always like to create their own troubles. You should leave now; I need to go back to sleep."
Ysera led Leylin out of the mountains to a high place. She created a dream portal for Leylin in the air.
However, when the portal was halfway complete, Ysera stopped. She touched her forehead and removed a mark. Then, she carefully placed it on Leylin's forehead.
After completing this, Ysera finished the dream portal.
"Before I awaken again, I need to know that you've fulfilled our agreement. Otherwise, this dream mark will send you back here again," Ysera said playfully. It sounded like a joke, but Leylin still gasped.
"I'll finish on time. I don't want to spend my whole life here with a boring, sleepy green dragon!" Leylin said after stepping through the dream portal.
Ysera pouted, annoyed for a moment, then smiled. In her thoughts, she enjoyed her time with this mortal, though short it may be. She knows they will still meet again in the far future.
"Nozdormu was right; he seems perfectly suited to be the Keeper of Time. This arcane mage looks very interesting; I like him quite a bit." Ysera smiled sweetly and vanished from the highlands.
