Elena was in a foul mood by the time she finally got back to her apartment.
Not only had she discovered that Ruby had left the party without her, leaving her almost stranded, she had also been ambushed outside the mansion by a furious Derek – who accused her of poisoning Ruby's mind against him.
As if that humiliation wasn't enough, Derek went on to accuse her of trying to turn his mother against him as well, claiming she had taken Donna in her home without his consent.
If it hadn't been for Kai, who kindly sent a driver to take her home, Elena would have been stuck at the Acharya residence all night.
Now, all she wanted to do was to crawl into bed and figure out how to deal with Derek and his mother in the morning.
Ruby's phone was still switched off, something Elena knew had everything to do with that pathetic ex of hers.
