Chapter 83 - Battle with Abomination

Abomination, already transformed into a monstrous being, had skin like armor.Meng Ran's punch had plenty of power behind it, but aside from leaving Abomination's head buzzing, it didn't do much damage.

Abomination quickly recovered, yanked himself out of the crater he'd made, and glared furiously at the dark figure before him.

He didn't recognize Meng Ran at all.The last time Meng Ran fought the Hulk, Abomination had been lying half-dead under a tree like a pile of rotten meat.

Now, he stared at Meng Ran, eyes burning with rage, and let out a thunderous roar that shook the air.

Meng Ran looked at the furious creature and said coldly,

"What's wrong, big guy? Feeling strong now? Making noise to show off?"

A grim smile twisted across Abomination's face. He glared at Meng Ran and growled,

"Little brat, I'm going to crush you to death."

With that, he charged forward, swinging his massive fist toward Meng Ran like a hammer meant to flatten mountains.

It wasn't entirely unreasonable for Abomination to feel overconfident. With his current strength and physique, aside from the Hulk, there was no one else on Earth who could go toe-to-toe with him.

And since he didn't know about Meng Ran's battle with the Hulk, Abomination saw only one rival in the world worth his attention.Everyone else was trash.

Meng Ran couldn't help but laugh at the arrogance. It had been a long time since anyone dared talk so big in front of him.As Abomination charged, fists raised, Meng Ran let out a cold chuckle and rushed to meet him head-on.

In the instant he moved, Meng Ran's demonic form began to change.

The black liquid coating his body surged violently, and his size rapidly increased — in the blink of an eye, he had become a towering mini-giant, his frame now rivaling Abomination's.

Beneath his hood, pale slit-like eyes gleamed with icy light, and a mouth full of jagged fangs opened in a bestial roar, his crimson tongue lashing wildly.

Meng Ran caught Abomination's massive punch mid-swing.With one hand, he gripped Abomination's fist so tightly that the creature couldn't pull it back, then lifted a foot and stomped him into the ground.

Abomination struggled but couldn't move — the force pressing down on him was like an entire mountain. He looked just like the demons in old fairy tales, trapped helplessly beneath a mountain.

Meng Ran grabbed both of Abomination's arms and twisted outward.

A sickening chorus of crack-crack-crack echoed through the night as bones shattered.

As Abomination howled in agony, Meng Ran's hoarse voice rumbled out:

"So tell me — who's the little one now?"

Before Abomination could answer, Meng Ran grabbed his remaining good arm and swung him like a giant sandbag, slamming him back and forth across the ground.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Each impact shook the earth, sending clouds of dust and shards of concrete into the air.By the time he stopped, the battlefield was unrecognizable — solid concrete reduced to soft gray powder.

Meng Ran finally tossed Abomination aside.

The monster was in miserable shape. His once-powerful arms now hung limply, bones shattered into splinters.("Again," one might say — after all, when it came to compound fractures, Blonsky was something of an expert, both before and after his transformation.)

Looking down at the groaning Abomination, Meng Ran sneered,

"Didn't you say you were going to crush me? What happened?"

He tilted his head and added mockingly,

"Oh, right. My mistake — your arms are softer than the noodles my grandma used to love.""What a shame. Guess self-care's out of the question for you now."

Abomination's eyes flared with fury at the relentless taunts. He roared, staggering to his feet using his still-functioning legs, his rage boiling over.

"ROARRR!"

As his anger intensified, something incredible happened — the noodle-like arms began to twitch, straighten, and reform.Cracking sounds filled the air as his broken bones knit back together.

Meng Ran raised an eyebrow in genuine admiration.

"Ugly as sin, but I've got to admit — your power's impressive.""You've even got Hulk's trick. The angrier you get, the stronger you become… and you can heal from wounds like that? Impressive."

Feeling the power surge through his body, Abomination grinned, exhilarated. He would kill this damned monster — crush him — and use the kill to celebrate his rebirth.

This time, though, he was smarter.Instead of charging straight in again, Abomination turned, intending to retreat and reposition. But Meng Ran wasn't about to give him the chance.

He vanished from sight in an instant — and a heartbeat later, reappeared right in front of Abomination's path.

With a single, swift kick, Meng Ran sent him flying across the street and crashing through a tall building.

Fortunately, Gwen and the others had already evacuated the civilians, so Meng Ran could finally cut loose.

As for property damage? Not his problem. The monster was a military asset — meaning all repair costs were the military's headache, not his.

Abomination tore through the building, leaving a massive hole spewing sparks and smoke.

From within the wreckage came his furious roar, followed by several huge chunks of debris hurled outward.

The boulders shot toward Meng Ran like meteors.

"Well, well~ getting smarter, are we?" Meng Ran smirked.

"Afraid of getting your head smashed in, so now you're trying long-range attacks?"

He moved as he spoke. With a flick of his wrist, a blade appeared in his hand — cold and shining under the moonlight, its surface gleaming like silver ice.

From a distance, it looked as if Meng Ran held a sliver of the moon itself. This was his blade — Qie Yun (Cloudcutter).

As the massive stones hurtled toward him, Meng Ran slashed.

Several arcs of blade light flashed, and the rocks shattered into dust midair.

Then Meng Ran exhaled softly and muttered,

"Cut the Stars."

A burst of radiant sword light shot forward — splitting into multiple smaller arcs mid-flight — each one chasing down another incoming boulder.

The air lit up with dozens of bright, crescent-shaped slashes, as dazzling as a shower of falling stars. They streaked straight into the gaping hole in the building.

The next second, Abomination's roar of pain echoed from within.

Meng Ran didn't stop. He swung Qie Yun again and again, sending wave after wave of sword energy into the building.

Inside, Abomination grabbed whatever debris he could to block the onslaught, then ran sideways through the building to evade the strikes.

When Meng Ran noticed that his later strikes brought no screams, he immediately understood.

"So, you're not as dumb as you look, huh. Military instincts still there after all."

Blonsky might look like a hulking brute, but his combat intelligence was still sharp.

Just as Meng Ran sent out one final slash, Abomination suddenly burst out from the top of the building, leaping high and crashing down toward him in a crushing stomp.

He was fast — but Meng Ran was faster.

The moment Abomination's shadow loomed overhead, Meng Ran disappeared again, reappearing behind him — and his blade flashed once more.

"Cut the Jade!"

A shining arc of light coiled like a silver serpent, wrapping toward Abomination's body.Had it landed, Abomination might've had to say goodbye to his lower half forever.

But Abomination reacted instantly, using the recoil from his stomp to launch himself sideways.

The slash missed and slammed into the ground instead, carving a three-meter trench into the street with an explosive boom.

Abomination stared at the deep scar in the earth, his face tightening. He finally understood just how dangerous Meng Ran was.

He might have grown stronger, but he hadn't lost his mind. After several minutes of combat, he knew exactly what he was dealing with — and that only fueled his fighting spirit.

Blonsky had always been a warrior. From taking the super-soldier serum to mutating into Abomination, his one goal had always been the same — to fight the Hulk.

Now the Hulk was nowhere to be found… but this new opponent was even stronger. That only made his blood boil hotter.

Eyes blazing, Abomination grabbed a nearby streetlight pole, ripped it out of the ground, and charged at Meng Ran once more.

Meng Ran couldn't help but feel a touch of admiration.

"No wonder the Hulk couldn't beat the stubbornness out of you. You're something else."

He exhaled lightly.

"In that case… I'll go all out too. Let's end your warrior's journey properly."

Meng Ran's expression steadied as he raised Qie Yun in both hands, gathering his strength.

When Abomination closed in, swinging the streetlight pole, a blinding light flashed.

A beam of silver sliced through the night — swift and absolute.

Meng Ran's low voice rang out:

"Cut the Moon!"

The light streaked past Abomination in an instant.

For a heartbeat, nothing happened — and then, from his waist down, his body split cleanly apart.Even the metal pole in his hand fell neatly in two.

Abomination collapsed heavily onto the ground.

Meng Ran stood silently, let out a long breath, and sheathed his blade.

Just then, Xiaobai's voice echoed in his mind:

"Warning! A new giant creature has appeared in Dr. Samuel's laboratory!"
