Hearing Xiaobai's warning, Meng Ran turned his head toward the laboratory.
His gaze pierced across the street, and he saw a massive figure hidden in the shadows of an alley near the building where the lab was located, swaying and moving forward quickly.
Meng Ran's eyes narrowed slightly, focusing on the silhouette within the darkness.At that very moment, the creature stepped out from the alley and bathed in the bright moonlight.
Under the brilliant moon and the orange glow of the street lamps, the street was lit as bright as day.A monster with an enormous head was grinning hideously, letting out an eerie "heh-heh-heh" laugh as its curious eyes swept over Meng Ran.
The big-headed monster had a body shape and skin tone similar to Abomination, though it looked slightly leaner than him.
In addition, its head was bald and enormous—nearly as wide as its shoulders.
Its neck was far thicker than Abomination's as well, for it needed immense strength just to support that massive head.
"Heh-heh-heh… So it's the infamous E Gui! No wonder you could kill that ugly bastard."
"With that kind of power, there must be plenty of interesting things running through your veins."
The big-headed monster spoke while laughing in that strange, grating way.
Meng Ran looked at the talking creature but didn't respond.
Instead, he frowned slightly, wondering to himself:"Where the hell did this guy come from? I don't remember there being someone like this in the movies."
"And seriously, this guy's even uglier than Abomination—what gives him the confidence to call someone else ugly?"
While muttering to himself, Meng Ran tightened his grip on Qieyun, silently analyzing this monster's origins.
Just then, Mary Jane's voice came through his earpiece."E Gui, that monster might be Dr. Samuel who mutated."
"In the lab earlier, other than Samuel and Blonsky, there was only one female soldier."
"Now that soldier's gone, and Blonsky's turned into Abomination… that means this new monster must be Dr. Samuel."
Hearing her transmission, Meng Ran instantly understood.It seemed after Blonsky transformed into Abomination, something unexpected had happened to Dr. Samuel—turning him into this big-headed freak.
Dr. Samuel chuckled eerily and tossed something toward the distant remains of Abomination, whose body had been sliced in half.
It was a small test tube filled with shimmering green liquid, glowing faintly under the moonlight.
The vial flew straight toward Abomination's upper torso.
When it landed, a needle popped out from the front of the tube and pierced into Abomination's flesh.In the blink of an eye, the green fluid was completely injected into his body.
Watching this bizarre move, Meng Ran's expression turned grim. He instantly sensed danger—but it all happened too fast for him to stop it.
Moments after the green serum entered his body, Abomination's blood-red eyes suddenly snapped open.
A deep, guttural roar erupted from his throat.
With a series of cracking sounds, Abomination's upper body began to swell and distort again.At the severed waist, dark-green tendrils of blood vessels snaked outward and reattached his lower half.
As his body reconnected, the horrifying wound at his waist began to heal rapidly, his form expanding like an inflating balloon.
In the blink of an eye, Abomination had doubled in size—now towering as tall as a two-story building.A true giant.
He pounded his chest furiously, bellowing with an ear-shattering roar like a raging gorilla.
The force of his roar shattered windows all along the street.It seemed that green serum had given him an even greater boost than expected.
Meng Ran stared at Abomination's blood-red eyes and could clearly sense the change—not only was his body larger, but his strength and overall power had grown exponentially.
Those red eyes and that savage roar sent another message loud and clear:
Abomination had completely lost his sanity.He was now nothing more than a berserk beast in human form.
Meng Ran glanced at the frenzied creature, then shifted his gaze toward the big-headed monster beside it.
His voice turned cold."What did you inject him with to turn him into this?"
The big-headed monster chuckled again."Nothing special. I just let him taste the essence of Banner's blood."
"And not just any sample—an enhanced version. One hundred times stronger than before."
"He always wanted more power, didn't he? Well, now he's got it! Heh-heh-heh-heh!"
Hearing this, Meng Ran understood immediately.So it was a refined version of Hulk's blood—no wonder it packed such an insane punch, enough to turn Abomination's eyes crimson.
"No matter," Meng Ran said coldly. "Even if he mutates into an Ultraman today, he still dies."
"And you too, Dr. Samuel—I'll slice off that big head of yours and use it as a ball."
"Heh-heh-heh! Two against one now!" the big-headed monster jeered."You're the one who's going to hell!"
He didn't take Meng Ran's words seriously.With both of them attacking together—and Abomination stronger than ever—there was no reason they could lose.
But just as his hideous laughter echoed through the air—
Whoosh!
A strand of spider silk shot out from afar, splattering right over his mouth and silencing him mid-laugh.
"Ten rings! Bullseye!"
A playful voice rang out from a distance. Peter flipped through the air and landed on top of an electric pole beside Meng Ran.
It was his web that had glued the big-headed monster's mouth shut.
A graceful figure landed beside Meng Ran soon after—Gwen.
She shot Peter a glare and quipped, "It's not that your aim's improved—the target just got bigger."
The big-headed monster tore the webbing from his face furiously and started shouting, "Damn you! You little—"
Before he could finish, a figure clad in black armor dropped from the sky, slamming him into the asphalt with a thunderous impact.
At the same time, the armored figure raised a hand toward Abomination—and a sudden, crushing force pressed the giant flat against the ground!
It was Liu Xiu.
He stomped hard, driving the big-headed monster deeper into the road,then used the recoil to propel himself toward Meng Ran.
Seeing everyone assembled, Meng Ran asked,"Where's the Green Goblin? You left him with the police and soldiers?"
Liu Xiu nodded obediently."Brother Green Goblin didn't really want to stay, but Big Brother and Big Sister convinced him."
Meng Ran raised an eyebrow, looking curiously at Peter and Gwen."Convinced? Since when did you two learn persuasion?"
Peter scratched his head awkwardly with a sheepish grin,while Gwen replied softly, "We just thought the weakest one should stay behind."
"Harry didn't like it, but… he had to face the truth."
Meng Ran gave her a thumbs-up. "Truly reason over emotion."
While they exchanged brief words, the big-headed monster finally climbed out of the crater,and Abomination, eyes glowing red, roared again as he charged forward.
Meng Ran quickly issued orders."I'll handle the big one. You guys take care of the big-headed freak."
"His strength's weaker but his intellect's higher—though not combat-smart. Stay sharp and split up."
"Understood!"
The group dispersed, engaging the enemies.
Meng Ran teleported forward, appearing directly in front of the charging Abomination.In a flash, he swung Qieyun, unleashing several slashes of sword light.
Abomination raised his massive arms to block,but the strikes tore deep gashes into his flesh regardless.
Seeing that his attacks only caused shallow wounds, Meng Ran gauged Abomination's current defense level—and realized just how much tougher he'd become.
