As the inexplicable wave washed over them, Saike and Will both felt their heads about to explode with pain.

As the injection went in, Saike woke up from his coma.
He slowly sat up and shook his head. Feeling the lingering pain in his nerves, he gently rubbed his temples to try and ease it.
Seeing Saike awake, Will immediately asked him, "What's going on? Has the base been attacked?"
Saike shook his head in response and said in a low voice, "I don't know what happened, but I think it should have something to do with the Evil Spirit."
"Evil Spirit?" Hearing Saike mention the Evil Spirit again, Will immediately felt a headache coming on.
Unlike Saike, who had already dealt with the Evil Spirit several times, Will's understanding of the Evil Spirit was limited to it being one of the reasons for the failure of the last mission.

The Black Water headquarters was now unrecognizable, all structures buried beneath a layer of crimson dust.
As the noise ceased, a small gray whirlwind swept in from the side, clearing away the red dust.
With the dust cleared, everyone could see the situation before them.
All the buildings were buried beneath broken clods of earth, completely unrecognizable from their former state.
"That tornado?" Will asked Saike beside him.
Saike replied, "That's the ability of an A-Rank ability user from our A2 Squad."
"It seems they also escaped from the recent attack."
"We just don't know how many others managed to escape."
"Our losses this time are too heavy."
Saike frowned, looking at the ruins of Black Water before him, and spoke with some concern.
