Chapter 344 - Chapter 344: Teyvat TV Goes Live; The Storyteller Who Shook the Nations

While the average citizen might hesitate at the price of a television set, Chef Mao, a titan of the Liyue culinary world, saw things differently. He possessed a sharp business mind; he knew his empire was expanding across three nations and soon into the underwater city.

If he installed a television in his restaurants, the draw would be irresistible. Even if a customer only came in for a simple breakfast, the lure of the screen would keep them in their seats. And one cannot simply sit in a restaurant without buying a little something. It was the ultimate advertisement.

Other merchants, seeing Chef Mao's decisive move, quickly followed suit. Just like the transition to electric lights, they rushed to open accounts at the Northland Bank to secure their own units. Sets were installed in households, taverns, and even the Yuehai Pavilion, where Ningguang planned to use the medium to broadcast official government decrees and economic updates.

[The Shrine and the Queen]

In Inazuma, the fever was just as high. Households in Narukami Island, Watatsumi, and Seirai shared a pool of a thousand units.

At the Grand Narukami Shrine, the Dog Queen Inukimi sat with the priestess Kikyo. Inukimi was still awaiting the full migration of her subjects, so she spent her days in the quiet company of the resurrected miko.

A group of shrine maidens struggled up the mountain stairs carrying a heavy crate. Kikyo watched with curiosity. "Nana, what is that?"

"It's a television developed by Lord Su Han!" Kano Nana wiped sweat from her forehead. "There's a program tonight. They cost a thousand Mora each, and people are fighting over them in the streets."

"A thousand Mora?" Kikyo, still adjusting to the currency of this era, was stunned. That was half a month's savings for a high-earning worker.

Inukimi watched as the device was installed in a shrine room. When the wires were connected, the screen flickered with a three-color test pattern. A message appeared: [Broadcast begins at 6:00 PM].

"Is this like my scrying crystal?" Inukimi asked, intrigued.

"Not exactly," Nana explained. "Your crystal only shows you what you seek. This shows the entire world the same vision at the same time."

[The Feudal Era – The Public Screen]

The influence extended even beyond Teyvat. In the Inuyasha world, heavy cables had been laid to the village. While private ownership was non-existent here, Su Han had erected a Giant Public Screen in the town square.

Kagome looked at the monolith and laughed. "The 'God' really has a sense for this, doesn't he?"

She was busy recruiting for the Inazuma migration, but she paused to watch. Beside her, the local villagers, soldiers, and even several curious youkai sat in neat rows. They had been told there would be no work today—only the "Program."

[6:00 PM – The Premiere]

As the clock struck six, every screen across three nations and two worlds hummed to life.

The first image to appear was Ganyu. She stood in a professional studio, looking serene and professional.

"Good evening. I am Ganyu, your host for Liyue. Tonight, we begin with a feature: Our Liyue. Following this cinematic look at our history, we have a full schedule of entertainment. Please, enjoy the show."

The screen faded to black, and then—the roar of the ocean erupted.

It was a film of the Battle of Osial.

Though the people of Liyue had lived through it, seeing the cinematic angles—the crushing weight of the vortex, the terrifying scale of the multi-headed god, and the desperate defense of the Jade Chamber—was a visceral shock.

In the Feudal Era, Inuyasha watched the screen, his jaw dropped. He had always thought his father, the Great Dog General, was the peak of power. But seeing the scale of this "Demon God" battle, he realized he was a mere ant.

The film moved through the struggle of the Millelith, the intervention of the Adepti, and the final descent of the savior who resealed the beast. The audience in Inazuma and the Feudal Era sat in stunned silence, overwhelmed by the raw power on display.

When the film ended, a light-hearted commercial played to break the tension.

A young girl with tanuki ears (Sayu) was shown sleeping inside a giant ceramic pot. No matter how much the nearby animals shook her, she wouldn't wake—until a heavenly aroma wafted past. She bolted upright, eyes wide, as a plate of steaming fried chicken appeared.

"I woke up from a dream of heaven... and it was Su's Fried Chicken!"

"Only 9 Mora! The first hundred customers get a free drink!"

The contrast was jarring but effective. The tension broke into laughter across the nations.

[The Storyteller]

The second program began. Iron Tongue Tian sat behind a desk, snapping his fan open.

"I am Iron Tongue Tian. Today, we speak of the Lord of Geo... our Rex Lapis."

As he began his narration, the screen shifted to high-quality illustrations provided by Zhongli himself. They showed a Liyue of ancient times—a land plagued by the Chi and other malevolent entities.

"At that time, the seas were ruled by demons, and the mountains by monsters. The people had no home... until the Lord of Geo raised his spear."

The tempo of the erhu music picked up. A man in divine robes, face obscured but eyes glowing like molten gold, stood against a horde of nightmare creatures.

"This world is full of demons and gods... I have no intention of competing for hegemony, but I know the suffering of the people..."

The quote echoed through the taverns of Mondstadt and the shrines of Inazuma. The sheer weight of the "God of War's" history left the audiences breathless. They saw the foundation of Liyue Harbor, not as a city of contracts, but as a fortress born of blood and divine protection.

[The Wind God's Envy]

"Wow... the old blockhead looks really impressive on screen," Venti chuckled, sitting on a roof in Mondstadt, nursing a bottle of cider.

He watched the crowds cheering for Rex Lapis.

"But if he's getting all this fame, what about me? I'm an Archon too! I have stories! Better ones! Poems! High notes!"

Venti stood up, his body dissolving into a green breeze. He shot toward the Jade Chamber floating in the distance.

"Su Han! You better start a 'Wind God Hour' or I'm not leaving your couch!"

The age of media had truly arrived.
