Rogers had been on guard in the rear, never expecting Tao Wen to come crashing down from the sky.
He had calculated everything, but he hadn't anticipated that Tao Wen could fly like a bird. In his original estimation, Tao Wen was probably relying on some kind of special machine to allow himself to hover briefly.
This was truly unexpected.
He suddenly roared in anger.
The instant Tao Wen's feet came down, he raised his shield high, bracing for the impact.
He braced with both hands, intending to block the attack.

Tao Wen's feet were about to land on Rogers' shield when a familiar purple light instantly swelled. This couldn't help but make Tao Wen's eyes shine with a different kind of light.
This critical hit effect came at just the right time!

A roaring force instantly acted upon the shield.
Rogers' body suddenly ducked, and under the impact, he was directly pressed to the ground.
Under the immense force, the ground itself trembled.
"Argh!"

His gaze fell on Rogers again, and a burning light flashed in his eyes.
"Either kill me, or wait to be killed by me, you Hydra scum!"
Rogers roared, in his eyes, Tao Wen was a Hydra scum, and the anger in his heart rose to the extreme.

Tao Wen didn't hesitate, raising his right foot high, and stomping it down on Rogers' face, under the violence, Rogers fainted again.

It rose into the air, truly transforming into a ball of dazzling light.

It turned into golden beams of light that descended from the sky, landing upon his body. As they touched him, they all surged inward.
This is truly fascinating. I really don't know what kind of entity this system truly is!
Tao Wen couldn't help but feel a surge of shock. He could clearly feel a mysterious energy coursing through his body. Under the influence of this energy, his body felt warm and comfortable, as if he were soaking in a hot spring.
"Congratulations, Skill Shard collection complete. Beginning random skill reward."
"Exchanging, please wait."
Along with the system's notification, a different kind of joy welled up in Tao Wen's heart, and his anticipation reached its peak. He was eager to see what this skill would be.
However, he was hoping that this skill would be a ranged attack ability. Otherwise, he would be at a disadvantage the next time he fought an enemy.
After waiting for a long time, the skill still hadn't appeared.
He wasn't anxious, however. The longer it took, the more powerful the skill would likely be, which was what he was hoping for.
"Tao?"
After a moment, Coulson's voice came from behind him.
Coulson kicked the remaining shards of glass out of the window, scattering them onto the ground with a crisp sound.
Then, he jumped out the window, landing not far from Tao Wen.
"My God!"
Seeing Rogers sprawled on the ground like a dead dog, Coulson's heart skipped a beat. He was heartbroken to see his idol unconscious.
However, he didn't take his anger out on Tao Wen. He knew this misunderstanding stemmed primarily from Rogers.
Tao Wen knocking Rogers out was the best outcome.
Otherwise, Rogers leaving would be a massive loss for S.H.I.E.L.D., and a significant hidden danger for Tao Wen.
After knocking him out, they could find experts to explain things.
"Let's go."
Tao Wen said to Coulson.
"Alright, take him back."
Coulson immediately instructed the agents behind him to lift Rogers onto a stretcher and into the business car.
Inside the car, Coulson remained silent, and the atmosphere became heavy.
Fortunately, the hospital wasn't too far from S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters.
They arrived in just over twenty minutes.
"Welcome, our heroes!"
Just as they arrived at the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, Fury was standing at the entrance to welcome them personally. He seemed very pleased to see Rogers.
Coulson and Tao Wen both smiled, though theirs were a little strained.
This didn't escape Fury's notice, but he didn't say anything about it.
"I'll head back to my office first."
Tao Wen said to Fury and Coulson, then left the two of them.
After he left, Coulson immediately reported everything that had happened today to Fury.
After listening to Coulson, Fury's expression darkened slightly, and his gaze towards Tao Wen became a little less friendly.
Da-da-da-da.
Tao Wen had just reached the bottom of the building, preparing to go up, when the sound of a helicopter came from not far away.
The helicopter just happened to land not far from him.
"Who is it?"
Tao Wen looked over instinctively. After the helicopter landed, two figures jumped out.
One was Natasha, whom he had just seen last night, and the other was Dr. Banner, looking travel-worn.
