Thus, in the Marvel Universe, water sources exist in space.
Hence, it makes sense that Lang would store a large supply of water in the War Fortress.

Batman nodded. "This will be the Justice League's base. I plan to relocate Connors' lab here. Additionally, inside the War Fortress, there is a prison built by Lang—the former commander—for holding the Green Goblin. We can transfer it here from the sewers."
"Perfect! This is a flawless decision!"
Donatello nodded, fully agreeing, amazed at Batman's impeccable judgment.
He said, "Good thing you didn't give the psychic transport device to S.H.I.E.L.D.! Otherwise, this place could have been entirely theirs!"

Thus, even if Black Egg got the psychic transport device, he wouldn't think to attack the alien.
He was just that conservative.
The Avengers!

Only someone like Anton, with godlike perspective and control over the War Fortress through Cyborg, could boldly do what others wouldn't even dare imagine:
Seize the War Fortress and turn it into the Justice League's base.

"Understood, of course!"
They all trusted Batman completely—no one would try to question him.
