Back at Felix manor.
"Master, you risk everything for her," Karina said, standing beside her master, who was lost in his thoughts.
"That's my flesh and blood," Master Felix muttered.
"After all these years, don't you think I owe her?"
Karina face darkened. "She doesn't have what it takes to rule all you have built, master."
Master Felix turned to her, his calm terrifying in its restraint.
"You forget your place, Karina."
She flinched. "Forgive me, Master," she said through gritted teeth, bowing low.
He turned back, enjoying the view.
"Rumors will spread faster than wildfire," he said quietly. "Let them. I've hidden long enough. If Atlas wants a monster, I'll show them the one they made."
"With me around, does anyone dare to touch my daughter?"
"What about me, Master? I've followed you for years. Would you discard me now?" Karina asked as her nails dug deeper into her palm.
