Seeing Han Yu deep in thought, Captain America and the others wisely stayed quiet, glancing around the room without disturbing him.
After a minute or two, Han Yu looked up with a smile.
"I've figured out a way. But what are you offering in exchange?"
"Just name your price. If it's reasonable, we'll pay."
Captain America spoke earnestly. They had come this time with both S.H.I.E.L.D. funding and Stark's sponsorship — a combined budget exceeding ten billion dollars. For them, upgrading a shield was nothing.
Han Yu chuckled.
"I don't want money. I'm not interested in it. I only trade item for item."
At this point, Han Yu had more than enough cash. His GTA V project was bringing in massive revenue. Money was the least of his concerns now.
"Item for item?" Steve frowned. "But I don't really have anything valuable to trade."
Captain America looked genuinely troubled. He lived simply, rarely spent money, and had barely a few thousand dollars in his savings — hardly enough to matter.
"Who says you don't?" Han Yu smiled, tapping Steve lightly on the chest. "One vial of your blood — that's all I want."
Steve blinked.
"My blood? Are you sure? If you're thinking of using it to create another super soldier, I doubt it'll help. S.H.I.E.L.D. already tried that long ago."
He wasn't hiding anything. Everyone knew his blood was unique, the key to the original Super Soldier Serum — but S.H.I.E.L.D. had extracted and studied it for decades without success.
Han Yu waved a hand dismissively.
"You don't have to worry about what I'll do with it. I'll handle the rest. Just tell me — yes or no?"
Steve glanced at Nick Fury, who nodded. After all, the blood wasn't particularly useful to them anymore. In the seventy years since Captain America had been frozen, no one had managed to replicate his serum. He alone had survived, proof of how impossible it was to recreate.
"How do you want to take it?" Steve finally asked.
Han Yu raised an eyebrow. Green energy flickered from his fingertips, drifting toward Steve and wrapping around his arms. Curling his hand into a claw, Han Yu made a small pulling motion — and drops of bright crimson blood floated free, drawn along the glowing green threads.
In just a few seconds, the blood gathered midair into a softly glowing green sphere. At its center swirled a ball of red liquid, roughly the size of a baby's fist.
Han Yu made a grasping gesture, and the glowing orb drifted down to his palm, solidifying into a translucent jade-green vial filled with Steve's blood.
"All right. I've got what I need. Now, it's your turn."
His eyes narrowed slightly as white light flashed in his free hand. Two purple-leather books, bound by red ribbons and shimmering with a mystical glow, appeared before everyone's eyes.
"These are Level-3 Enchantment Books — Loyalty. And I'll even throw in another Level-3 Thorns book as a gift for my new customer."
Han Yu smiled.
These items came from a game in his past life — Minecraft. Enchantment Books could imbue weapons or gear with magical properties.
The Loyalty enchantment was a special one, normally exclusive to tridents. But through his Shop System, Han Yu had modified it so it could be applied to other weapons — like Captain America's shield.
"Enchantment Books, huh? Interesting. Mind if I take a look?"
Tony Stark reached out curiously, taking one of the glowing tomes. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't open it. The cover was as solid as a slab of marble.
The frustration felt eerily similar to the last time he'd failed to lift Thor's hammer. After struggling for a while, sweat beading on his forehead, Tony handed the book back, slightly breathless.
"How does this thing even work? You can't open it."
Steve tried too, pulling the cover with both hands, but the book wouldn't budge an inch — proof that brute force wouldn't do a thing.
Han Yu chuckled.
"You're using it wrong. Give it here. I'll show you."
He took the books, and with a light tap on the Shop System, summoned something with a clear metallic clang! — an anvil, nearly as tall as a man.
Pointing at it, Han Yu caused a bright interface window to appear in the air for everyone to see. On the left was a silver hammer icon, and at the top, glowing text read:Item Repair and Naming
Even Tony Stark was stunned.
"What… what kind of forging system is that?"
Han Yu grinned, placing the two Enchantment Books into the left slots. In the right slot, a new book appeared — a fusion of the two. Beneath it, glowing text appeared for all to read:
Thorns III, Loyalty III.
