"Sorry, does that hurt?" Esther asks, applying bandages to my body and wiping me down after giving me a long bath.
"Not exactly... it just stings a bit..." She fits a bandage perfectly over some of the deeper wound marks, even though I told her it's not necessary since they'll be reconstructed.
"Evelyn, are you really okay with last night?" she asks while I'm lost in thought.
"It's just weird... I can't believe we did that with all that blood around... plus, my tail still hurts even though it's been rebuilt." I glance at my tail, which has grown back. It took a long time to return, and I lost a lot of blood because of it.
"Oww..." I let out a sound of pain as she applies more disinfectant alcohol and places a bandage over it after wiping the alcohol away with a cloth.
"Be patient, Evelyn..."
