Lin Chen looked at the seductive woman on the screen."Poison Ivy, your hair looks very soft. You actually followed my advice and washed it."

"Tell me more about Tina."
Poison Ivy thought for a moment."She was my classmate. We were very close growing up and even went to college together. Back then, I was a shy girl who loved plants."
Lin Chen's lips twitched."Shy? Really?"
"Taoist priest, I'm serious!"Poison Ivy sent a photo — it showed a very innocent-looking girl who resembled her closely.

A black bat emoji flew across the screen with a message:

Poison Ivy continued, "I was caught by that hateful Batman and thrown into an asylum. Tina often came to visit me, despite everyone judging her for it.But this time, she hasn't shown up for half a year. That's when I realized… she's been missing."
Lin Chen frowned."Didn't her family report it to the police?"
"They did. Her husband is Kane Sienis of the Sienis family — a famous builder in Gotham with business in New York. He panicked and called the police the same day."
"The Sienis family?" Lin Chen repeated.That was the Black Mask family — an old Gotham bloodline that had fallen into darkness. The Black Mask himself had become one of the city's most feared crime bosses.
"Show me her photo."
Poison Ivy uploaded a picture of a young blonde woman.
Lin Chen activated the Water Mirror Vision. After a moment, he sighed."Ivy, are you mentally prepared?"
"Taoist priest, she's been missing half a year. I'm prepared. I just want to know… was she killed by that man, Kane?"
Lin Chen nodded, about to speak — when his other phone rang.
He glanced at the unfamiliar number. His instincts told him the caller was trouble.He answered, and a deep, menacing voice came through.
"Master Lin, I hope you don't talk nonsense."
Lin Chen put the call on speaker, smiling faintly."Talk nonsense? Please, clarify."
"You know very well — our Sienis family isn't someone you can provoke."
The chat instantly exploded:
"Wait, is the Taoist being threatened right now?""These murderers are way too arrogant!""The Sienis family is powerful. The Taoist might be in danger.""Master, don't worry, I've got your back!" — sent by the Black Bat."Don't bow to evil forces!" — Nini encouraged."Isn't it just Black Mask? Lin Chen gestured for Harley to calm down — she was always one swing away from trouble.
He spoke into the phone."You see? So many young ladies support me. How could I disappoint them?Sorry, but I'll have to give up on you, Kane Sienis."
"Then prepare for the hurricane," the voice growled before hanging up.
Lin Chen stepped aside and quietly called Jill, giving her a few instructions.Then he returned to the live stream.
"Everyone guessed right. The murderer is indeed Kane — Tina's husband."
"I knew it!" Poison Ivy's eyes flashed with fury. "I suspected him first!"
Lin Chen's tone was calm but grim."He hides his true nature well, but he's a pervert. He often beat Tina.One night, half a year ago, he went too far. She was covered in bruises. She couldn't take it anymore, so she decided to divorce him.That very night, she mysteriously vanished… and in truth, was murdered."
Poison Ivy's gaze turned icy."That bastard even claimed Tina ran off with another man — said she left by train that day!"
"Of course he did. It's easy to lie when no one can contradict you."
Poison Ivy licked her lips coldly."I'm going to pay Kane a visit."
Lin Chen shook his head."No need. Detective Jill should be arriving by now."
The chat flooded again:
"Master, be careful — Kane's cousin is Black Mask, Gotham's underworld boss!""Master, don't worry! Any contracts between Kane and our company are canceled!" — Nini sent."Same here!" — added Black Bat."Heh, I'm Black Mask. Little Taoist priest, you're quite something," typed a new viewer — the Black Mask himself.
"Black Mask, the Taoist isn't afraid of you! Go ahead and try!" — Little Wild Cat."Ditto." — Wonder Woman."Same." — Miss Wang.
Lin Chen smiled faintly."It's good to see you all care so much."
Meanwhile, in a grand mansion on Gotham's north side—
Kane Sienis slammed the table."A Taoist priest dares to meddle with me?!"
At that moment, his subordinates entered."Chairman, Star Industries and Wayne Enterprises have both informed us — due to concerns about your character, they've terminated all cooperation with us."
