Several dark figures suddenly leaped over the several-meter-high wall and charged into the Xiao Manor.
Lola screamed. She took out her phone, trying to call the police, but her hands shook so badly she couldn't even press the numbers.
"Roar!"
"Roar!"
Five massive werewolves surrounded Lin Chen and the others. Saliva dripped from the corners of their mouths as they stared at Lola, roaring menacingly. Their target was obvious.
Mindy frowned. "They're so ugly."
Laura had already fainted.
The werewolves wasted no time—they attacked immediately!
Lin Chen pulled out a Water Dragon Talisman and waved it. "Water Dragon—now!"
The water in the swimming pool instantly surged upward, transforming into a water dragon more than ten meters long as it roared toward them!
One charging werewolf was smashed head-on by the water dragon and sent flying, its internal organs violently displaced.
Lin Chen kicked another werewolf, sending it flying more than ten meters away.
These ordinary werewolves were no match for him at all.

"Who sent you?" Diana pressed harder with her heel.
"Ah! We received a mission to capture a woman named Lola here. Someone higher up wants her. We don't know anything else!"
Soon, Diana finished interrogating them, but there was no useful information.
She returned to Lin Chen. "Why didn't you interrogate him?"
Lin Chen smiled. "I can just divine the answer. Why bother asking?"
Diana rolled her eyes. "Pervert."
These werewolves were a hidden faction operating in New York. They had received orders from above but knew very little beyond the task itself.
Lin Chen extracted more information through other means. For example, European werewolves had been under Lushan's rule for over six hundred years, growing stronger and stronger, while the underground world became increasingly dark.
"This group was likely sent by Lushan to take Lola back to Europe and hand her over to the vampire Kraven."
Half an hour later, Ada Wang arrived with more than a dozen agents.

She then looked at Lola. "You're their target. Your situation is extremely dangerous. I advise you to come back to the Sentry Organization with me."
Lola shook her head and clutched Lin Chen's arm. "Master, I'm scared."
Lin Chen looked at her. "What do you plan to do now?"
"Daoist, I've already contacted my cousin. She's now one of the judges of the Holy See tribunal. She'll arrive in New York tomorrow and take me back to the Holy See for resettlement."
"A judge?" Ada Wang frowned. She hadn't expected Lola to have such a powerful relative.
Since Lola refused to go with her, and her value was limited anyway, Ada Wang didn't insist.
"Alright, Daoist. I'm busy tonight, so I won't disturb you." Ada Wang got into her car and left.
Lin Chen and the others found it awkward to leave at this point, so they decided to stay the night and wait for Laura's cousin to arrive.
Lola hosted them warmly and even wanted to share a room with Lin Chen—but Diana chased her away.
"Who do you think you are? Still trying to steal him?" Diana snapped.

"Watch how I beat you!" Diana said furiously, and the two immediately started fighting.
Later that night, Lin Chen got up to use the bathroom and found Lola curled up outside his door, trembling with fear.
He sighed, picked her up, and carried her back to her room.
Lola woke up suddenly, her face flushed and eyes full of helplessness. "Master, I'm scared."
With no choice, Lin Chen fought off his drowsiness and stayed awake, chatting with her to calm her down.
