Lin Chen didn't turn around. "Little girl, did you sneak off to fish again?"
Mindy snorted. "I knew a long time ago that you bad guy wouldn't wait for me! Luckily, Sister Diana warned me."
"Diana, you traitor!" Lin Chen was speechless.
He glared at Mindy. "You can stay at my place, but you have to do your homework every day. I'll have Natalie help you—she's a college student."
Mindy shivered. "Spare me! I'm just here to have fun!"
"Fun?" Lin Chen sneered. "In your dreams."
He pointed at the calm sea. "Mindy, believe it or not, there are still several kingdoms beneath the ocean. Atlantis is real."
Mindy pouted and tossed her empty Coke bottle into the sea. "Stop lying! I've read about that stuff."
"Have some manners. Watch out—those underwater races might come looking for trouble."
"So scary," Mindy scoffed. "I don't believe it at all."
Less than two hours later, the ship docked at Gotham's pier. Lin Chen walked leisurely ahead while Mindy dragged two huge suitcases behind him, struggling to keep up.
"Stinky Taoist priest, wait for me! You're bullying a kid—why am I carrying your luggage?!"
"You're eating and living for free at my place. Shouldn't you contribute a little labor?"
As they exited the pier, Harley Quinn waved excitedly. "Master! Over here!"
Lin Chen walked over. Harley pounced on him, planting a bright red kiss mark on his face.
"Woohoo! Daoist Master, I missed you so much!"
Lin Chen patted her on the arm. "Enough. Go talk properly."
"Sister Harley, I've suffered so much! I carried so many things," Mindy immediately complained.
Harley had just climbed out of Lin Chen's arms when—
The red-haired Mera rushed over and added another kiss mark. Lin Chen sighed helplessly. "This really is Gotham…"
From beside the nanny car, the Widow Sister shouted, "Get in the car already! You'll get a ticket!"
Lin Chen walked over and looked her up and down. "Well, I haven't seen you in a few days. Your skin looks better—you've gotten prettier."
The Widow Sister smiled. "Really? You look thinner. Has it been tough these past few days? That long-legged girl?"
Lin Chen smiled calmly. "She's just an ordinary friend. You're overthinking it."
"Ordinary friend? Bah! A Holy See judge? You didn't make a move at all?"
"She's a nun. You really put dirty thoughts on everyone." Lin Chen lifted the Widow Sister's chin lightly."She can't compare to you. My heart's with you. Did you forget our promise?"
The Widow Sister slapped his hand away. "Get in the car. We still need to cook when we get home."
"Wherever you cook is fine." Lin Chen nodded. The Widow Sister really was capable these days—commendable. He patted her arm approvingly.
Back at the house, Poison Ivy immediately threw herself into Lin Chen's arms, her hands roaming freely.
Lin Chen protested that he at least needed a drink of water first.
Jill went off to work. She seemed to be the only one with a normal job—and the only one who insisted on going.
Catwoman extended her hand. "Where's my gift?"
Lin Chen pointed behind Mindy. "Those two big boxes are all gifts."
Everyone cheered and rushed to open them.
Mera held up a set of cosmetics, beaming. "Wow! This is the brand I've always wanted! It costs tens of thousands of dollars—almost my entire annual salary!"
Lin Chen handed her another package.
Mera opened it, saw the lace lingerie inside, and shot Lin Chen a sideways glance.
Everyone else also received gifts. The Widow Sister nodded in satisfaction. "Not bad benefits here." She patted Lin Chen on the shoulder. "Boss, you're doing well. Keep it up."
Lin Chen suddenly said, "Oh right—I forgot. There's a little agent named Skye who helped me with the church scandal last time. Should I buy her a gift to thank her?"
"Skye?" The Widow Sister froze briefly, then instantly returned to normal."Boss, I advise you not to contact agents. Many of them are bad news."
Lin Chen nodded in agreement. "Special agents—especially beautiful ones—the prettier they are, the darker their hearts!"
The Widow Sister's mouth twitched. Endure it.
Lin Chen pulled Mindy over. "Natalie, her homework is your responsibility now."
"What?!" The two stared at each other, both completely innocent.

The Widow Sister felt like dying. She sighed. "Boss, you need to raise my salary."
Lin Chen lounged on the sofa lazily. "I just made an investment. I honestly don't know if it'll make money."
Catwoman and the Widow Sister—both financial addicts—immediately dropped their gifts and rushed over to massage Lin Chen's shoulders.
Mera came over and started squeezing his leg.
"Boss, you've worked hard. Have we seen any returns on our hard-earned money yet?"
Lin Chen reached out. Harley Quinn handed him a glass of water.
He nodded. "For now—it's a loss."
"What?!" Catwoman instantly snatched the glass away.
The Widow Sister and Mera stopped massaging immediately.
Lin Chen stared at the group of brutally realistic women, speechless. "You're all way too realistic."
Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn continued massaging him without hesitation.
Catwoman pressed a hand to her forehead weakly. "I think I'm sick…"
The Widow Sister sighed as well.
Lin Chen looked at them disdainfully. "What, is this a delayed reaction?"
Harley Quinn giggled. "Master, they're worried about you. After all, you invested the most."
"I really couldn't tell." Lin Chen shook his head.
Catwoman and the Widow Sister quickly calmed down and attentively handed him water.
Lin Chen snorted. "What are you panicking for? Doubling profits isn't that hard."
Catwoman shouted, "Hey! My millions of dollars are now extremely hard-earned!"
The Widow Sister's eyes instantly turned red. She had invested five hundred thousand—afraid it was too much and wouldn't fit her 'just graduated' persona, she'd even claimed it was borrowed. Now seeing Catwoman make so much, she was nearly furious.
Jealousy drives people mad. It's not widowhood they fear—it's inequality.
She grabbed Lin Chen's water and drank it all in one gulp.
Mera raised her finger. "I invested fifty thousand and made over a hundred thousand! Yay!" She wasn't very familiar with life on land—she only knew that having money meant she could buy clothes.
The Widow Sister smiled bitterly at Mera and sighed. "Sometimes… being silly isn't such a bad thing."
Lin Chen ignored the money maniacs and pulled Harley Quinn up. "Sister, come upstairs with me. Let's whisper."
Everyone rolled their eyes.
After taking a nap, Lin Chen went downstairs and found everyone swimming in the pool.
He put on his swim trunks and jumped in, splashing water everywhere.
Catwoman swam on her back like a mermaid. Her snow-white skin reflected the sunlight, nearly blinding everyone watching.
Seeing Lin Chen approach, she smiled. "Stinky bastard, come here!"
"Two-faced!" Lin Chen kicked forward and swam toward her.
"Mera, help!" Catwoman shouted.
Mera's eyes lit up. She raised her hand, and a stream of water blasted toward Lin Chen, knocking him away.
"I've never been afraid of anyone in the water!"
"All right, you little maid—watch this!" Lin Chen gathered spiritual energy under his feet, leapt up, grabbed Mera, and dragged her underwater.
The two grappled beneath the surface, locked together for a long time. Both could breathe underwater, so neither was affected.
"Boom!"
A sudden explosion of water erupted as Lin Chen burst out of the pool—Mera in his arms.
