The old man man lead us to a magnificent building.
It was built from the joining of many other small buildings. It opened into a large space where there were people practicing sword fight. Some were learning mental control. There were a lot of people but they looked harmonious.
"Greetings elder." They greeted the old man and he responded with a "mm" and walked past without another word. The amiable atmosphere around him when he went to welcome Lord Daveon was gone.
"Lead these two to the side courtyard to rest." He instructed a young man and left.
"Please!" The young man lead us to a shabby courtyard and told us that someone will come to serve us.
"Tsk! What a blind old mind." Uncle grumbled. I looked at him in amusement and walked to a single seater to sit.
"Say, what's the identity of that Daveon man?" I asked.
"He's probably here to get information on the Green Tear. This place is called the Informative House. They provide any information you want and also accept jobs for assassinations. They are not very simple."
I nodded meaningfully.
"Do you think he'll heard to Mirage Mountain from here?"
"No! He'll probably go to meet some people to go together. Since the old man called him a Lord, then he's someone with status."
"Let's find out then." Uncle smirked.
There was a knock on the door and a lady pushed the door open and walked in with a tea set. She placed it down and bowed. Obviously a servant
"Master says he'll come to meet you when he's less busy."
We served ourselves and relaxed back to take a rest.
Serena said uncle will train me into someone stronger but I've only learn how to play mischief since we left the castle.
I'm beginning to think that uncle is so unreliable. The rest of the day, we spent in the courtyard.
It was night time. Uncle said he was going out to gather information. I stayed and went to bed early.
There was a closed door and I opened it after walking closer. I saw a man laying peacefully with his hands folded on his tummy. He had dark raven hair and looked especially majestic in his sleep.
All of a sudden his brows furrowed and he opened his eyes.
It was too late because a fire from no where started and it was nearing the room he was sleeping in. He got up and picked a sword on the table by the window and dashed out through the fire. A huge dragon was spraying fire everywhere, on it sat a young man slightly older than the one with the purple-gold pupils.
"They sent only you? Aren't you looking down on me?" He asked.
"That's why I just hate you lunarians especially you, Argent. You are too arrogant for my liking."
"That's why I told you the last time that if you can't stand me you can kill me if only you have the ability."
"What if I have a bargaining chip?"
The scene shifted and I saw a lady, the silhouette looked like the one in the forest, being pierced by a vampire's claw. Argent screamed.
When I woke up again, I was covered in sweat and uncle was watching me.
"Bad dream?" He questioned.
"I saw Argent." He went stiff and then handed me a cup of tea.
"You should rest. If everything goes well, well follow Daveon to Mirage Mountain tomorrow."
I placed the cup on the table and went back to sleep.
A lot of thoughts were running inside my head and I was beginning to miss Serena.
...
The next morning.
"Daveon came to confirm the authenticity of the news of the Green Tear. I heard from the old man that it is true but the beast has become weaker that is why it dropped the gem. Since it's going to die, it will put up a desperate fight or give it to someone who has any affiliation with it."
"Then it will be quite dangerous."
"I decided to cancel the plan of us asking help from Daveon. We have a greater chance at obtaining the gem and it will put us in danger if we are recognized so we will be in disguise."
I naturally had nothing to say. We followed a maid out to meet the old man who was called Elder Awin. He was the first elder after the chief of Informative House.
"Young friends, speak! You didn't follow me for water so what is it?" He was straight forward.
"We just arrived in this city two days ago and heard something about the reappearance of the Green Tear. We heard from passer-bys that this place is the best place to gather information so we followed you. I beg Elder Awin to not take offence."
