The Cosmic Cauldron.
This was the exclusive alchemy tool of the Sorcerer Supreme — a sacred artifact no ordinary mage dared to touch.
Yet the Old Man showed no fear or reverence. He simply treated it as his personal magical instrument, tossing in rare materials one after another as he swiftly concocted a potion designed to remove the talisman's curse.
The Talismans themselves were fragments of the Sheng Zhu's own divine power—transformed into physical form through petrification magic.
Once returned to their master, those talismans would shatter, their energy flowing back into him—like fish returning to the sea, merging once again with their source.
To weaken the Sheng Zhu's power…this potion was essential!
Originally, Lo Pei, the Warrior Monk of the Dragon, had planned to personally extract the talismans from the Sheng Zhu's body.
But no one could have foreseen—Lo Pei's tragic end.
Burned to ashes by the Phoenix Flame's judgment, his life essence utterly consumed! The twelve talismans all returned to their rightful owner, restoring the Sheng Zhu to his peak strength!
"T-Talismans?"
"All of them… removed?"
The archaeologist looked completely dumbfounded.
At that moment, his bulky Divine Warrior Armor shifted and reformed into a tight, fitted combat suit—crafted from the same material as the Panku Box, its lines tracing the contours of his muscles.
The armor's form-fitting plates gleamed with a deep blue sheen, etched with silver runes around the shoulders and waist, radiating righteous energy.
It granted the wearer a physique on par with the Earth Demon Dai Gui,along with the power of flight, vacuum survival, dark magic resistance, and high-speed movement—an arsenal of divine abilities!
It was with this very armor that Lan Caihe once defeated the Earth Demon Dai Gui.And soon, it would be used to subdue the Fire Demon Sheng Zhu himself!
"You're not as clever as Xiao Yu," the Old Man said with a shake of his head.
The archaeologist pouted immediately.
"Some talismans don't give the Sheng Zhu combat strength," the Old Man continued,"but rather sustain his life itself."
"For example…"
"If he loses the Talisman of Motion, he'll revert back into a stone dragon statue!"
He spoke calmly, like he was teaching a class.
Then, the Cosmic Cauldron suddenly erupted in a blast of emerald light.
"Place your hands inside," the Old Man ordered.
Hummm!
The archaeologist spread his palms wide. The green light enveloped them completely, bestowing upon him the power to extract talismans.
"Tru!"
"Open the portal!"
The Old Man barked another command.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
The burly sumo warrior, Tru, raised his hands and began tracing runes in midair.A swirling portal flared into existence, its rim sparking with magical fire.
On the other side—a subterranean cavern awaited.
"Bad, bad, bad!!"
Jackie was losing his mind.
He could hardly believe what he was seeing—
An endless tide of demons surged forth from the dimensional rift like a flood!
A skeletal cavalry, riding massive warhorses, charged at the forefront.Ghostly blue flames burned in their hollow eye sockets, and blood-red lances glinted in their bony grips as they tore forward with unstoppable force.
Wherever they passed, even the hulking Hellhounds were trampled underfoot, crushed into grotesque piles of meat and bone.
Swish, swish, swish!
Arrows made of bone whistled through the air in a deadly rain—
Only to shatter harmlessly against a crimson energy shield!
"Oh no!!"
"The dimensional rift's expanded to ten meters!"
"Mid-level demons have breached into the real world!"
"Who's… who's holding back the Hell Legion?!"
A thin, spiky-haired figure shouted in disbelief.
Mid-level demons—creatures even apprentice sorcerers couldn't hope to face.
They were masters of ancient, arcane magic, experts at concealing their identities and spreading twisted, heretical doctrines.
Even the Old Man himself dared not take them lightly.
Without the strength of an Archmage, no one could withstand an entire mid-tier demon army!
"It's—!"
"It's the Sheng Zhu!!"
Tru's tiny eyes went wide, almost bulging out of his head.
Was he hallucinating?
The Sheng Zhu—defending the human world?!
"This is… insane!"
The archaeologists all gasped together.
If not for the Sheng Zhu's intervention—the consequences would've been catastrophic.
The Hell Legion might already be rampaging through the streets, spreading terror and chaos across the modern world—a disaster on par with, or even worse than, the Battle of New York!
"Looks like the Hell Lord next door…"
"Has grown tired of living."
A deep, demonic voice echoed through the underground cavern.
A towering figure nearly seven meters tall stepped into the light—muscles coiled like steel cables, horns jutting from his skull like jagged spires, and dark-green scales covering his body, gleaming faintly like raw vibranium ore.
His crimson eyes blazed with murderous rage—a vision of pure terror.
Whumm!
A wave of psychic power burst outward—a tangible Conqueror's Haki, targeting every dark creature nearby!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The skeletal cavalry were annihilated on the spot, their soul-flames extinguished as they collapsed in heaps of shattered bones.
The lesser demons fared even worse—falling like wheat before the scythe, their remains scattered into dust.
With the twelve talismans united, the Sheng Zhu was now utterly flawless.
His divine power formed an infinite cycle, each talisman amplifying the others.
He had transcended all limits—able to unleash Conqueror's blasts without pause or strain, thanks to the energy from the Sheep Talisman.
That talisman symbolized his spiritual might, granting immunity to soul-based attacks, the freedom to traverse dreams, and restoration of mental and sensory fatigue—a crucial support talisman!
"Terrifying!"
"So powerful!"
The sound of people sucking in cold breaths echoed everywhere.
Even the Blackheart Legion's ministers exchanged horrified glances.
This was power befitting a High Demon,a being qualified to challenge the Throne of Satan itself.
Their master, Lord Blackheart, was only a single step away—if he could locate the Contract of San Venganza, recite the infernal oath, and awaken the souls bound by it,he would transcend his limits…and ascend as a Demon King!
That was why the three mid-level demons—of Wind, Water, and Earth—had no intention of continuing the fight.
Each carried noble ancient demon blood, and had mastered faint traces of Bagua elemental force—power untouchable by mortal hands.
But for the Sheng Zhu…they were fair game.
Armament Haki coated his massive frame, his arms darkening into solid obsidian.
"Did I allow you to leave?"
His voice exploded like a thunderclap—
A fresh Conqueror's blast surged outward like a tsunami, instantly smashing the three demons to the ground!
"W-What?!"
"How can you strike us?!"
"This is impossible!!"
With a sharp whoosh,a searing flame ignited in his palm—
A familiar yet foreign Bagua power reflected in their terrified eyes.
Li Gua—the Trigram of Fire!
The Fire Demon—the Sheng Zhu himself!!
"Whom do you serve in Hell?"
Sheng Zhu leaned forward, voice low and dangerous.
Invisible force wrapped around the three demons, his Armament Haki binding them like steel chains.
"Lord Mephisto…"
"His son…"
"Lord Blackheart!"
Sheng Zhu hissed through his teeth, eyes narrowing.
That was too close.
If this rift had connected to Mephisto's realm, even he might have been powerless to handle the fallout.
"Blackheart…"
"The Ghost Rider, then."
A flicker of memory flashed through the great demon's eyes.
At that very moment—
Outside, in the ruins of the Midtown Circle Financial Tower, the Damage Control Division, led by Tony Stark, was discussing reconstruction with field commander Anne-Marie Hoag.
Suddenly—
"What the—?!" someone gasped.
From the horizon, a blazing figure appeared—wreathed in hellfire, riding a sinister Harley chopper, its wheels leaving trails of eternal flame as it roared down the crumbling cliffside—
Ghost Rider had arrived.
