Chapter 62 - Stark: Prepare Multiple Contingencies

Using the visual assistance system within his knight armor, Stark could clearly see the distant scenery. He recognized the tall buildings with familiar names, the familiar street names, and the familiar posters...

His gaze drifted, and familiar things entered his view one after another. This caused Stark's lips to twitch uncontrollably until he saw a middle-aged man selling Stark Industries stock in a shop. He fell silent.

Stark: "..."

The surprise came too suddenly, leaving me speechless.

He deactivated the transformation and took out his phone to call Ethan, intending to discuss things with him.

Meanwhile, the others also took action. Some members with unusual appearances gathered to chat, lingering on the rooftop, like Whitebeard and Shukaku...

The rest of the group, including the ninjas who disliked walking normally, vanished with a Shunshin, disappearing without a trace.

The samurai with swords strode down the street with swagger. Pedestrians simply assumed they were cosplayers, glancing at them briefly without paying much attention.

"The event is being held in our world?!" Ethan exclaimed first, then sighed softly, "That's really exciting!"

"A little too exciting. I was sent to Greben Academy," Tony Stark said, looking at the stone wall with the school's name carved on it, sounding annoyed.

"It's pretty close to Broadway! There's a lot of foot traffic!" Ethan pinched his forehead, distressed. "Should we contact the police? Have them evacuate the area?"

"On what grounds?" Tony Stark countered. "Some interdimensional merchant is going to host a boss-battle event here, which will cause widespread destruction, please evacuate the public? You'd be labeled a lunatic."

Pausing for a moment, taking a breath, Tony speculated, "Besides, Boss Mu probably has something planned."

Even though he hadn't met Boss Mu many times, some impressions of a person are formed at the first meeting. In his impression, Boss Mu wasn't the type to disregard the lives of ordinary people.

"...…" After a moment of silence, feeling that his instincts were unreliable, Tony added, "Come pick me up, we need to make some preparations."

"Alright." Ethan hung up the phone and headed straight for Stark's garage.

Stark held his phone in his right hand, thumb swiping across the screen until he found Rhodes' number, and then he called.

"Hey, Rhodes."

"Tony, what's up?"

Stark thought for a few seconds, then asked, "What excuse can I use to convince politicians to order an evacuation of the people near Broadway?"

Rhodes shook his head, covering his forehead, looking helpless. "Tony, don't joke around."

"I'm not kidding."

Hearing the seriousness in Tony Stark's voice, Rhodes frowned and asked, "Did something happen?"

"Yeah! Something big is about to happen. It'll definitely be the headline tomorrow." Tony replied.

"Tony, you know what those people are like. Even if you said aliens were landing soon, they wouldn't issue evacuation orders until they saw it with their own eyes," Rhodes said, frowning in thought before sighing in resignation.

"I know, that's why I'm calling you," Tony Stark said, sounding like he was completely handing it over to Rhodes, and in reality, he was, "I'm leaving this to you. If you pull it off, I'll give you a surprise gift."

"Alright, I'll do my best," Rhodes said, feeling a headache coming on, "What exactly happened that you're so anxious?"

Tony curled his lip, "I can't really explain it to you. Just go to Broadway tonight."

Rhodes: "..."

This behavior of yours, just saying something big is happening but refusing to say what it is, is really annoying! And... the way you're hiding things, I feel like you're joking!

"I'll trust you this once, don't lie to me!"

Rhodes hung up the phone, took a deep breath, and considered how to fulfill Tony's request.

"I'm not lying to you, friend." Stark put away his phone, gazing into the distance. "Something big is definitely going to happen tonight."

"What are you thinking about?" Mu Long, Mu Yang's avatar, appeared. He couldn't miss out on such a lively event; he wanted to join in the fun.

"Thinking about tonight's event," Tony glanced at the newcomer and replied, recognizing him.

"Excited?" Mu Yang asked.

"Anxious," Tony said, his eyes narrowed.

Boom, boom, boom... Whitebeard, with his heavy steps, walked over and sat cross-legged beside Tony. He looked down at Tony and said, "From what you just said, you live in this world. Are you worried about civilian casualties from the event?"

Shukaku and Black Zetsu, both non-human, remained silent. They didn't care much about humans.

Mu Yang reassured, "Don't worry. Boss Mu is holding the event for fun; there won't be any casualties."

"Hopefully," Stark's expression remained gloomy as he went off to make a phone call.

The two humans and the non-human exchanged glances. Mu Yang pulled out a deck of cards, "Let's play cards!"

Tony Stark wasn't someone who could be persuaded with a few words, and Mu Yang didn't intend to reveal his identity, so he let him stew in his anxiety.

Whitebeard, Shukaku, and Black Zetsu all nodded. They couldn't help with anything, so they might as well find something to pass the time.

"How do we play?" The three of them had never played cards before and looked puzzled.

"Let's play 'Fight the Landlord'. The loser changes roles," Mu Yang explained the rules to the three of them. They basically grasped the rules after hearing them once.

In the first round, Mu Yang played with Black Zetsu and Shukaku, while Whitebeard watched.

.........

In a private room of a café near the academy.

Minato Namikaze, Kushina Uzumaki, Kakashi Hatake, and Obito Uchiha sat facing each other, the heavy and awkward atmosphere thick in the small room.

Kushina Uzumaki clenched her fists, intense killing intent blazing in her eyes. Kakashi Hatake looked ashamed, hunched over. Minato Namikaze wore a complex expression…

Obito Uchiha gritted his teeth, his face tense. The overwhelming killing intent from Kushina Uzumaki made his scalp tingle, but he had just been tagged with dozens of Flying Thunder God Technique marks by Minato Namikaze. He couldn't even run.

Obito's eyes gradually filled with despair…

The silence continued, none of the four speaking.

Meanwhile, Hashirama, Madara, and Tsunade advanced down the street. Tsunade's ample bosom drew the attention of many passersby, and the title of "Great-grandfather" caused many to regard Hashirama as a pervert.

The three of them didn't pay any attention to the gazes of others, looking around for a casino. However, this was near the academy; how could there be a casino? Even if there was one, it wouldn't openly advertise itself.

The Odd Jobs trio, the Sasaki duo, and the Shinsengumi trio all entered the restaurant, inexplicably competing with each other…

Nagato strolled through the streets, pondering how long it would take him to transform Amegakure into a city like the one before him.
