Chapter 59 - Chapter 59 Freezing Curse

"It seems our Miss Hermione is really suited for Gryffindor."

George couldn't help but tease when he heard this.

Hermione and Professor McGonagall belong to the same type of person, those who seem to follow rules and doctrines on the surface, but in reality, love adventure more than anyone else.

Eighty percent of Harry and Ron's actions that violated school rules came from Hermione.

He felt that the reason Hermione was so angry with Harry and Ron at the beginning of the school year was not because they caused a big trouble, but because she wasn't in the car with them.

Hermione's face flushed slightly, and she didn't retort, only asking:

"It's a pity I searched the entire Hogwarts Library but couldn't find the book Professor Snape mentioned in class, 'Most Powerful Potions'. Without the Polyjuice Potion recipe, I can't make the Polyjuice Potion.

George, have you seen this book in the Hogwarts Library?"

"'Most Powerful Potions', I do have some impression of it, it seems to be in the Restricted Section."

George replied after a moment of thought.

A look of surprise immediately appeared on Hermione's face.

"Restricted Section, you can actually go to the Restricted Section?"

"You have to thank Professor Lockhart for this. As long as you learn to compliment his books a few times, and then make up any reason, you can trick him into giving you a note to freely look for books in the Restricted Section.

Next time I go, I'll help you look for that magic book called 'Most Powerful Potions'."

George winked at Hermione.

Since his last visit to the Restricted Section to borrow a magic book about the Tracking Spell, he had been there a few more times, but because Dumbledore was monitoring him, he never touched any books about the Dark Arts.

He only borrowed magic books about advanced spells.

He couldn't learn those spells with his current ability, but it wouldn't hurt to write them down first.

His initiative to help the trio this time was also to send a signal to Dumbledore.

A signal that he was Harry's friend and could help Harry in the Restricted Section, so that Dumbledore would give him some leeway.

Otherwise, if he frequently used Lockhart to enter the Restricted Section, Dumbledore would sooner or later want to fix this bug.

Crucially, as Principal, Dumbledore was completely capable of doing this. With just a casual word, he would no longer be able to happily look for books in the Restricted Section.

When he chose to get close to the trio, he also considered this aspect.

"Sure enough, I said Lockhart was a brainless idiot."

Ron wasn't particularly surprised by this. After the Cornish Pixie incident, he had completely seen through Lockhart's true nature.

However, Hermione obviously didn't think so, and she retorted with a scream:

"He's not a brainless idiot, I've checked and everything written in his books is true!"

"Forget it, I think it's because he said you were the most outstanding student in the second year."

"Alright, although I agreed to help, there's a condition."

George interrupted their argument:

"I heard that in Defense Against the Dark Arts Class, Hermione, you easily froze a group of Cornish Pixies with the Freezing Spell. I've also been researching the Freezing Spell recently, I wonder if we could exchange ideas."

The Freezing Spell, a directional binding magic, is very effective against creatures with relatively little strength, but cannot bind powerful creatures, such as Humans whose strength can easily break free.

But George was interested in this spell not for this point, but because the Freezing Spell had a special effect, which was that it could affect modern technological items.

Small technological items like burglar alarms, surveillance equipment, etc., when encountering the Freezing Spell, the parts inside will immediately stop working, causing the machine to fail.

It is one of the spells that Wizards often use in the Muggle World.

If he used this spell against Iron Man, then the arc reactor in his body might be affected, causing Iron Man's Iron Man Suit to be paralyzed on the spot.

"No problem, I'll tell you all the casting techniques of the Freezing Spell."

As soon as Hermione heard that George, the Star of Slytherin, was asking her for advice on a spell, she immediately raised her chin proudly. She loved being a teacher the most.

Especially since George spoke so nicely, unlike that fool Ron who would get angry and mock her when she kindly taught him.

"Freaks!"

Harry and Ron exchanged glances, and the same thought popped into their minds at the same time.

The Freezing Spell was the most difficult spell to learn in the second year, and it would only be taught next semester. It was already freakish that Hermione could learn it in advance, and George had only been in the first year for a few months and had already started learning it.

Indeed, they couldn't understand the World of top students.

The next day, George used Lockhart's note to enter the Restricted Section and obtained 'Most Powerful Potions', which he then gave to Hermione.

However, before giving it to Hermione, he had already recorded all the Potion recipes in the entire book 'Most Powerful Potions' on his computer through his main body in Marvel, in case he needed them later.

It's unlikely that even Dumbledore would believe that in the few hours between borrowing it and giving it to Hermione, he had copied all the Potion recipes in the book.

The trio, having obtained the Polyjuice Potion recipe, began to figure out how to gather the precious herbs in the recipe, and Hermione, the Potion genius, would brew the Polyjuice Potion.

Polyjuice Potion is a very high-level Potion that takes about a month to successfully brew.

George didn't inquire about these things again, but continued to fully immerse himself in the study of magic.

Time quickly came to the end of November, and it was also the moment the Young Wizards of Hogwarts anticipated the most.

That was the inter-house Quidditch competition held annually at Hogwarts Castle. Winning each Quidditch match would add significant points to their house.

On Saturday, the first Quidditch match began, Slytherin versus Gryffindor.

At breakfast, the atmosphere at the Gryffindor long table was suppressed, as they knew how difficult this battle would be. Apart from Harry's Nimbus 2000, the speed of everyone else's flying brooms was far slower than Slytherin's overall Nimbus 2001.

Conversely, the atmosphere on the Slytherin side was very lively, as they were very confident about winning this Quidditch match. This confidence mainly came from George's performance in several training sessions.

"George, do we really have to do this?"

Flint, the Captain of the Slytherin team, looked hesitant.

George replied while drinking pumpkin juice:

"I've already discussed this with the Dean, and he agreed. Since we are 100% confident of winning, we cannot let others speak ill of our Slytherin.

We need to let them know that we Slytherin truly won this match based on strength. This is the proper bearing of our Slytherin!"

"Alright, then we'll do as you say, but if we lose then, you will take full responsibility."

Flint gritted his teeth and nodded.

Although he felt that George's approach was unnecessary, matches were originally about using whatever means necessary, and even fouling was acceptable as long as they could win, but since the Dean agreed, he had nothing to say.

"So, you don't believe in my strength?"

George looked up at Flint, and Flint's expression immediately froze, then he smiled apologetically:

"Of course not, how could I not believe in your strength."

George was the Dean's favorite student, and besides, whether the Slytherin team could win consecutive championships and honors before graduation depended on George, so he couldn't really offend him.
