Shadow Creek was already on high alert. Asher calls on every ally they have for them to work together to overcome Victor all at once. He went to meet Orion Silverclaw thinking he was on their side but Orion said another thing entirely.
"You are asking me to send my warriors to die." Orion said.
Asher stood silent in the great hall of the Crescent Summit, with Corwin and Luna, his patience was reducing with every heartbeat.
"We are just asking you to stand with us, Victor would not stop at Shadow Creek if we fall, you might be the next." Asher said, his voice urgent but steady.
"Maybe or maybe Victor and I can come to... an understanding." Orion leaned back in his chair, his eyes were cold.
"You would make a deal with the devil?" Luna snapped, unable to hide the disgust in her voice.
"I will do whatever I must to protect my people even if it means staying neutral." Orion shrugged.
