Decades of Vought Corporation's cultural brainwashing in The Boys World had long since twisted public opinion.
Most supes are brainless, neutered by Vought for years, yet they still became celebs with massive influence—dragging the whole World into the same stupidity.
So Lucifer bad-mouthing God was no big deal; plenty of self-styled non-conformists loved hearing him preach heresy.
But call Lucifer a liar and you're the one in trouble.
Everything Lucifer spouts can be found in The Bible; to accuse him you'd first have to out-argue him.
And who knows Scripture better than Satan?
Thus, when Fang Yuan tracked Satan down again, the devil was already lounging in a luxury Villa, surrounded by admirers—living the high life.
"A Believer gave me this," Lucifer boasted to Fang Yuan. "He adores my teachings and wants me to start a new denomination."
In the 'freedom-loving' United States, cults sprout like weeds—and most boil down to one creed: milk the flock for cash.
It's all just business.
"You agreed?" Fang Yuan asked.
"Of course not." Lucifer shook his head decisively, lifting the crucifix at his neck. "I've joined the Archdiocese of New York—ordained and certified, baby!"
Fang Yuan burst out laughing. "New World, same hobby: wrecking God's franchise. Don't you ever get tired?"
Lucifer merely tsked. "You youngsters are so impetuous."
"Before, it was work; now it's play—totally different vibe."
"And who says I'm wrecking it?" Lucifer spread his arms. "I'm making the Church greater than ever!"
"Under your management, right?" Fang Yuan delivered the fatal question.
Lucifer didn't deny it.
"Won't God smack you for clowning around like this?" Fang Yuan pressed.
Lucifer waved it off. "A World with churches doesn't necessarily have God."
"Even if one exists, not every 'God' is as tough as ours."
Fang Yuan's eyes lit up. "So let's go bully Him and jack His loot?"
Bringing Satan to beat up God and then forcing Him to… ahem—Fang Yuan couldn't even imagine the payoff.
Yet Lucifer shuddered after a brief fantasy. "We're on vacation—why chase after that filthy thing? Bad luck!"
Fang Yuan's gaze turned sly. "Scared, are we?"
"Afraid God'll notice and spank you when you get back?"
"Me? Afraid of Him?" Lucifer blustered, then quickly changed the subject. "Quit dreaming about mugging God; you haven't even cashed in your current perks."
Fang Yuan had to admit it—he still hadn't digested the goodies from Apocalypse's latest template boosts, let alone figure out the Ultimate Treasure he'd scored last time: [Divinity].
Huh?
Satan was right here—might as well ask.
"Any idea how to use Divinity?" Fang Yuan asked outright, not worried the devil might covet it.
This Satan, king of devils and Lord of Hell, wasn't a villain, and he'd long outgrown the need for power-ups or shiny toys.
Second only to One.
Only God ranked above him; World rules could take a hike.
Sure enough, Lucifer curled his lip in disgust. "Divinity? You got that piece of junk?"
"Specializes in one law but shackles you—utterly mediocre, useless."
"Wait…" Lucifer frowned. "You didn't roll it from me, did you?"
"All I coughed up was a lousy Divinity?"
Lucifer clutched his head. "How embarrassing!"
"Exactly, mortifying," Fang Yuan piled on. "And you call yourself Satan? Handing me trash?"
"Tell the Demons of the Myriad Realms and they'll laugh you out of Hell!"
Fang Yuan spread his hands. "Give me something better—now."
"Hold up!" Lucifer caught on. "If it really dropped from me, it can't be ordinary Divinity—show me."
"Ahem, Divinity is Divinity—what difference could there be?" Fang Yuan stalled. "Don't tell me you're reneging?"
"Renege?" Lucifer pointed at himself. "You're scamming the Devil King?"
Lucifer laughed in exasperation. "Kid, you really should work for me."
Seeing the con fail, Fang Yuan materialized the [Divinity (SS-Rank)] he'd unlocked from Satan.
A diamond-shaped, translucent crystal about half a palm wide; Lucifer's eyes bulged.
He conjured a pair of spectacles and scrutinized the [Divinity (SS-Rank)].
"A core that fuses ALL laws without conflict?"
"And it's… THIS big?" Lucifer stretched his arms wide.
He finally nodded in approval. "Now THAT'S a treasure worthy of me."
Fang Yuan, however, pouted. "So what if it's big? Still just a bigger piece of junk."
Lucifer wouldn't have it. "Junk? Ordinary Gods are crippled by clashing attributes and limited slots."
"This baby lets you cram infinite laws, uniting the multiverse's might in one body. When you're done, Darkseid, the Cosmic Five Gods, even the Living Tribunal—none of them will touch you!"
"What about OAA?" Fang Yuan jumped in.
"That's on par with our God," Lucifer scoffed. "Divinity alone won't get you there—dream bigger, kid."
Fang Yuan conceded; obviously God outranked Satan.
So he shelved the lofty goals and started with step one.
"How do I use it?" he asked.
He'd studied for days but still couldn't fuse a single law into the crystal.
Lucifer raised an eyebrow. "You got any laws you've actually mastered?"
Fang Yuan froze—good question.
He owned tons of Character Templates, but until development hit 100% they weren't truly his, and those maxed-out so far weren't exactly World-shakers.
Gotta push Apocalypse harder, he mused.

"Wait!" He suddenly remembered something. "What about this?"
Fang Yuan produced a blue gem.
"The Space Stone?"
