Chapter 73: Learning the Eye of Brahma, Revealing His Talent, Xiao Huo's Approval
"The Three Forms of Brahma were created when the Eternal Throne first appeared. At that moment, I perceived a trace of its divine power and gained insight from it," said Xiao Huo calmly.
"It took me a year of research and meditation to create these techniques. At first, I believed they were beyond my reach. But one night, in a dream, a being who called himself the God of Creation appeared and instructed me."
"Strictly speaking, the Three Forms of Brahma are not techniques that humans are capable of mastering. That is why, no matter how I taught or guided others later, none could comprehend their essence. Eventually, they were lost with my passing."
"Your talent and strength are sufficient to learn them," he continued, looking at Ye Ling. "But being capable of learning does not mean you will truly master them. If you fail, there is no shame—it is not a simple art."
Xiao Huo's words were honest, even discouraging, but also factual. The Three Forms of Brahma were indeed exceedingly difficult to learn.
"I am prepared, Senior. Please instruct me," Ye Ling said with determination. He tightened his grip on the Holy Sword of Light and turned toward Ye Xuan.
"Do you have another sword?" Xiao Huo asked. "The Paladins of Judgment have always fought with twin blades. The Three Forms of Brahma also require dual wielding."
"Of course." Ye Ling nodded. Although he possessed no second Angelic Holy Sword, nor anything stronger, he certainly had equipment that could match its brilliance.
With that thought, he reached into his storage space and drew out a magnificent sword forged from luminous jade-silver—a masterpiece of Radiant grade. Holding it firmly, he looked toward Xiao Huo.
Seeing this, Xiao Huo's lips twitched slightly, unsure what to say.
Was every piece of equipment this fellow owned at least Radiant grade?
He sighed inwardly and turned serious again, gripping his twin swords before beginning to demonstrate. As he swung, he explained the core of the first form in detail.
"The First Form of Brahma—Eye of Brahma. Its essence lies in..." Xiao Huo spoke slowly, explaining the technique's foundation and the method of controlling spiritual power as he moved.
Ye Ling listened intently, fully immersed in his instruction.
Two hours later, Xiao Huo finished his first explanation. Ye Ling emerged from his state of comprehension.
"I understand, Hall Master Xiao. Allow me to try," Ye Ling said, nodding.
Inside the cavern, he raised both swords and began adjusting the flow of spiritual power within his body, preparing to unleash the first move.
"According to Hall Master Xiao's guidance, I must now channel all my spiritual energy to touch the threshold of this divine art," he thought to himself.
Gripping his swords tightly, he began to move.
As he did, the Golden Dragon King bloodline within him suddenly surged, boiling with power. Even the Six-Winged Angel and Time-Space Dragon martial souls—usually dormant within his consciousness—awoke and roared with energy.
With each motion, torrents of information flooded into his mind—vast and boundless.
At this moment, Ye Ling was not learning the Eye of Brahma alone. Four beings were learning together—and besides himself, the other three were all god-level existences. No, more than that—their potential reached the realm of Divine Kings.
Two more hours passed before Ye Ling finally concluded his cultivation. A deep sense of exhilaration spread through him.
"Well? Do you require clarification?" Xiao Huo approached quietly, his gaze steady.
"Thank you, Hall Master Xiao. But for now, there is something else," Ye Ling replied.
"What is it?" Xiao Huo asked in confusion.
Ye Ling did not answer. Instead, he raised both of his swords, and an immense, surging aura erupted from his body like a tidal wave.
In the next instant, a great eye appeared behind him, emanating terrifying pressure that crashed down upon Xiao Huo. Before he could react, Xiao Huo was struck head-on by that overwhelming force and sent flying, slamming heavily into the wall.
His eyes widened in shock as he looked at Ye Ling, momentarily at a loss for words.
"The Eye of Brahma?"
"You... actually learned it?"
"It's only been a few hours!"
Xiao Huo was utterly stunned. He had intended to give Ye Ling a brief lesson, expecting him to study and continue practicing on his own afterward.
Not to master it.
In truth, Xiao Huo had doubted that Ye Ling could even grasp the outermost layer of the Eye of Brahma within ten days. The technique's difficulty was simply beyond comprehension.
Yet now?
He had mastered it in mere hours—and not crudely, but perfectly. Every detail was precise, every movement flawless. Xiao Huo could hardly process what he was witnessing.
Ye Ling, however, said little. He quickly retracted his aura, ending the technique, then turned to Xiao Huo and asked calmly, "Senior, how was it? Are there any parts that need improvement?"
"..."
Xiao Huo was speechless. If he said "no," it would make him, a former Hall Master, appear useless. Yet if he said "yes," how could he? The only difference between Ye Ling's execution and his own lay in the vast disparity of cultivation power.
If Xiao Huo performed it, it would indeed be more refined—but his spiritual energy was over two hundred times greater than Ye Ling's. How could that be compared?
It couldn't.
After a long pause, Xiao Huo changed the subject. "Ye Ling, what is your innate spiritual power level?"
"Why ask that all of a sudden?" Ye Ling was slightly puzzled but answered honestly. There was no reason to hide it. "One hundred innate spiritual power. The full limit."
"..."
Xiao Huo fell silent again. He didn't know what to say.
One hundred points—wasn't that the mark of a Child of Light?
And not just any Child of Light, but a perfect one, with the maximum possible value!
This was far more astonishing than any ordinary blessed prodigy.
Xiao Huo stood in silence for a long time, trying to process the weight of what Ye Ling had just said.
Finally, he took a deep breath, steadied himself, and looked at Ye Ling. "Good. Good. Good."
The three consecutive words spoke volumes of his emotion.
"To think that today, my Knightly Holy Hall would finally give rise to a true Child of Light!" he exclaimed, his voice trembling slightly. "The future of the demon race's suppression will rest in your hands!"
Ye Ling nodded. He understood Xiao Huo's excitement. If their roles were reversed—if he were Xiao Huo and saw such a prodigy standing before him—he too would have felt the same.
"I had intended to teach you only the Eye of Brahma," Xiao Huo continued solemnly. "As for the other two techniques, I planned to wait until you became the Alliance Lord of the Holy Order to grant you that opportunity."
"But now, I have changed my mind. I will teach you all three."
His tone was firm and resolute.
