Controlling Alessa, the Changes in the Church
At the end of the corridor, Xu Mo looked at the number plate hanging on the ward door before him: No. 115!
"This is it."
Without hesitation, he reached out and pushed the door open.
A burst of intense light shot out from the ward.
When his eyes adjusted, Xu Mo saw that the room was bright, resembling an ordinary hospital ward. In the middle stood a bed completely wrapped in white curtains.
In the corner, a female nurse in a red top and white skirt stood with her back to the door. She seemed not to have heard it open, her hands still busy with the cabinet.
Xu Mo's gaze shifted, and soon a little girl in a purple dress, hair disheveled, stepped out from behind the curtain.
"Who are you?" the girl asked warily.
Through the energy fluctuations, Xu Mo instantly recognized her—Alessa, the fusion of the evil spirit and Alyssa's darkest thoughts, the root of Silent Hill itself.
A smile crept onto his face.
"You'll find out soon."
He no longer needed to conceal himself. A ray of light shot from between his brows and struck Alessa before she could react. Black energy wrapped around her form.
Alessa's expression changed. "What's going on…?"
Her connection with the world was suddenly severed, leaving her powerless, like an ordinary human. She tried to retreat cautiously.
She realized too late that Xu Mo had used her obsession with killing Bella to lure her into letting them in.
Gray energy surged from Alessa's body, struggling to resist the black energy binding her, but all her attempts failed.
She glared at Xu Mo. "What exactly is your purpose?"
Xu Mo ignored her words. A purple light flickered in his eyes as he raised his right hand, weaving mysterious rune patterns in the air. With a wave, the runes shot into Alessa's brow.
"Dark Shackles."
This spell enslaved evil spirits directly, binding their will yet keeping their consciousness intact. Against a soul-body like hers, it was absolute.
Alessa screamed as black energy erupted around her, lifting her body into the air. Julie and Jason, standing behind Xu Mo, exchanged uneasy looks.
They had suspected Alessa was the true "boss" of Silent Hill—but Xu Mo's commanding presence now made him seem even more terrifying than her.
Moments later, Alessa's screams faded. Her eyes turned pure black. She descended slowly, bowed, and said:
"Master."
Xu Mo nodded, satisfied. "Next, let me help you fully control this space."
Initially, he had planned to simply cleanse Silent Hill for points. But after discovering that the place manifested monsters from human fears—monsters that yielded points when killed—he changed his mind.
If humans continued to enter this inner world, Silent Hill could become a permanent points harvest field.
To achieve this, Alessa needed full control—and now, bound by his dark energy, she was his tool to do so.
The Dark Book appeared before him, pouring black energy into Alessa. Her body floated upward, hair and skirt stirring in the surge of power.
The ground trembled. Julie, Jason, and the others staggered, nearly falling. The vibrations intensified until the entire ward rose from underground into the fog-covered world above.
Xu Mo ceased the flow of energy, and Alessa's figure rose high above the town. Endless dark energy spread outward, rapidly corroding the landscape.
Within minutes, the entire town—save for the church at its center—had fallen under her control. In truth, it was Xu Mo's dark energy controlling it, with Alessa merely acting as his proxy.
Her authority could be revoked at any time.
But when she directed the energy toward the church, something strange occurred.
An evil force emerged from within, resisting the corruption. The dark energy could not penetrate.
