The Inner and Outer Worlds, the Idea of a Points Harvesting Ground
As the evil energy surged, a voice echoed through the town:
"Who dares disturb my believers?"
The energy condensed into a massive shadow above the church, its form resembling the head of a monstrous beast.
Bella, lying weakly on the ground, forced herself upright. With joy and desperation in her eyes, she knelt toward the looming figure.
"My Lord, you have finally appeared!"
When she had seen Alessa bow to Xu Mo as "Master," despair had consumed her. Now, with her god's shadow manifesting, she believed salvation had arrived. Surely, no human or spirit could contend with a god.
But the reality was harsher.
Alessa's face twisted in strain, even with the dark energy Xu Mo had poured into her. Against the projection of an evil god, she was no match.
Xu Mo moved, appearing in the air before the church, calm and unsurprised. He had expected this. A church hidden from Alessa's monsters could only mean one thing: divine protection.
Hovering before the shadow, he spoke coldly.
"A mere projection dares to act arrogant before me?"
There was no pressure from it, only bluster. He already knew this so-called god's name: Samuel. But Xu Mo was familiar with the major gods of this world, and Samuel's name was nowhere among them. This was no great deity—just a minor, forgotten existence.
The Dark Book appeared above the shadow, releasing a black light that formed into a vast cage. The evil god's phantom thrashed violently, sensing true danger, but its efforts were futile.
The cage shrank rapidly.
"No—!"
The shadow screamed as it was torn apart, its remnants sucked into the Dark Book. In less than half a minute, Samuel's projection was destroyed.
The moment it vanished, Alessa's dark energy surged unchecked, engulfing the church. The entire inner and outer worlds of Silent Hill were now under her control.
On the ground, Bella's face froze in disbelief.
"How… how is that possible?"
She laughed hysterically, the brief flame of hope snuffed out as madness overtook her.
Alessa and Xu Mo descended together. With the world now firmly in her grasp, a cruel smile spread across Alessa's face. None of those she had dragged into this place could ever escape.
She glanced at Bella with bitter hatred, then turned to Xu Mo respectfully.
"Master, this woman—"
"I'll leave her to you," Xu Mo interrupted.
He knew their history. Bella's only purpose had been to lure Alessa out. Now she had none.
Alessa's eyes lit up with excitement. From the hospital behind them, wires shot out, coiling around Bella and dragging her into the basement. The two men who had carried Bella shared her fate. They were townsfolk who had once burned Alessa alive. Death alone would be too merciful—she would make them suffer.
Xu Mo gestured for her to go. "Handle your affairs. The world is in your hands now."
As she vanished with her prey, Xu Mo considered the next step: drawing humans into this cursed town. If Silent Hill could manifest endless monsters from human fears, then it could serve as a permanent points harvesting field.
His plan was simple—turn the town into a "haunted attraction," a place that would lure in people willingly. Authentic horror would ensure its popularity. It would take time, but the foundation was already laid.
Behind him, Julie and Jason finally stirred, their shock giving way to awe.
"My God… this is unbelievable!" Jason stammered. "Don't tell me you're some kind of legendary hermit hiding in plain sight. Isn't there a saying in Chinese… 'half-pig eating tiger'?"
Julie, though calmer, couldn't hide the glow in her eyes. "You were flying just now… and that book. A true magic book. You're a magician, aren't you?"
Xu Mo only nodded. Their assumptions suited him well enough.
"Alright," he said, "things here are finished. It's time to go back. Unless, of course, you want to stay here a few more days and enjoy the scenery?"
The two waved their hands frantically. No matter how safe Xu Mo made it, no one wanted to live surrounded by grotesque monsters.
With a chuckle, Xu Mo waved his hand. The fog lifted, darkness dissolved, and sunlight pierced the clouds. In an instant, Silent Hill's nightmarish world gave way to the bright afternoon of the real one.
"We're back," he said.
Jason suddenly cried out, "Wait—Carl and his sister!"
"They'll be along soon," Xu Mo assured him.
Sure enough, ten minutes later, Carl and his sister came running from the church's direction. Relief spread through the group as they reunited.
"Thank goodness—you all made it out!" Carl said with a smile.
Jason sighed, then turned to Xu Mo. "So… do we leave now, or—"
"You'll eat and rest a bit first," Xu Mo replied. "We'll set off in three hours."
Then he turned to Carl, eyes narrowing slightly.
"Lend me your sister."
