Sapphire and Zamiel were more like blood siblings. They do things together until the day tragedy struck.
The clouds were gloomy and looked like it would rain soon and as usual they swam to the top of the water to play and then it started raining heavily causing tides and waves. Both Sapphire and Zamiel were washed ashore and stayed until dawn when the fishermen came and found them naked because they had developed human legs.
The fishermen wondered what they were both doing there lying naked. A fisherman walked up to them and woke them up.
Sapphire woke up first and felt strange because everything around her unfamiliar and her tail, she gasped looking shocked, ' What happened ?', she wondered.
Afterwards, she woke Zamiel up too and the fishermen went to get water and clothes for them without knowing they were the creatures they were hunting.
Sapphire was quick to stand on her feet but because it was her first time transitioning from a fish tail to human legs, her knees went weak and she fell.
The fishermen went to fetch water from the ocean for them to wash their bodies off the sand.
"Here, use it to wash yourselves and wear these clothes". A fisherman named George said.
"Who are your parents?" Another one named John asked.
But Sapphire only stared hard at him while Zamiel was wondering how they got there.
"I don't think they understand what you're saying, George". A woman said.
"Why don't we help them with it"
George walked closer to Zamiel, using a bowl he scooped some water and poured it on Zamiel making him shriek loudly before transforming.
At that moment Sapphire knew they were in trouble.
