When I heard Miss Elias's announcement, I thought she was bluffing—until she repeated herself. I'd assumed Angelica would still be locked up after the stunt she pulled a few days ago.
Because of her, the contest paused for two days, and the king had to recuperate.
I guess I should be grateful, though. Those days gave me time to learn more about Damien's past.
"Why would she want to see me?" I asked, half-curious, half-irritated. There was no way I'd ever be friends with her again. She was the kind of person I never wanted to talk to.
If all friends in the world were like Angelica, the world would be in chaos. "She literally tried to kill me the last time I checked, so why does she want me now, huh?"
"I have no idea, but you should go anyway. She's going to be the future Luna, so technically you're still under her," Miss Elias said with a little smile.
