Chapter 271 - Heading to the Cloud Village

In the bathhouse, Ryōsuke and Haku enjoyed the soak in the hot springs, their faces flushing a deep red.

Once they were steaming from the heat, Ryōsuke helped Haku wash up.

He verified once more whether the other possessed a penis.

Naturally, there was none.

Only then did he feel truly at ease.

Haku's face was also bright red.

Having the God King scrub her back was a bit too comfortable, and it made her feel incredibly shy.

Over the next few days, the two of them ate, drank, and soaked in the baths near the Land of Lightning's port, living a very fulfilling life.

Eventually, Zabuza returned, looking travel-worn.

"God King, I found no sign of the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki, Killer B, at Clouds-and-Lightning Gorge."

"Good work, Zabuza."

Ryōsuke pondered.

Since the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki, Killer B, wasn't at Clouds-and-Lightning Gorge, there was a high probability he was on Turtle Island.

That was a lone island in the middle of the ocean; in reality, it was a moving island formed on the back of a giant sea turtle.

It wouldn't be easy to find. Searching blindly could take forever.

"Leave the rest to me."

"For now, I'm leaving Haku in your care."

At the same time, he pulled a thick stack of bills from his pocket.

"Here is one million ryo. Consider this the organization's funding for you."

Shinobi did not produce goods; they typically obtained funds by completing commissioned missions.

The time required to complete a mission could range from a week or two to as long as a month.

He couldn't afford to have Zabuza waste time taking commissions to earn money slowly.

It took far too much time.

Otherwise, if he needed someone and couldn't find them, it would be a massive hassle.

Zabuza looked at the stack of cash and accepted it without hesitation.

It was all to better fulfill the organization's missions.

Ryōsuke then pulled out another stack and handed it to Haku.

"Haku, here is 100,000 ryo for your pocket money. Use it to buy any ninja tools, food, or clothes you need in the future."

Haku took the money, her heart swelling with emotion.

This was even better than how her mother had treated her. She vowed to improve her strength and repay the God King's kindness.

Standing to the side, Zabuza watched this scene, thinking that this child from the Mist Village was far too lucky.

He had spoken with Haku before and knew she was also from the Land of Water.

He felt even more sympathy for her.

If the Fourth Mizukage hadn't been controlled, causing chaos throughout the Mist Village and the Land of Water, perhaps she wouldn't have had such a tragic past.

But from now on, her life would likely be shrouded in good fortune.

To receive such preferential treatment from the God King.

After settling these matters, Ryōsuke immediately left the port and headed toward the Cloud Village in the center of the Land of Lightning.

By asking for directions, he arrived at the outskirts of the Cloud Village.

Looking at his current attire—black clothes and a white mask—he felt a bit troubled. If he entered like this, he would certainly be treated as a suspicious individual.

It would likely cause a commotion.

That would not make things easy.

Of course, if he showed his true face, it would cause an immediate uproar before he even did anything.

After all, during the war between Konoha and the Cloud, he had thrashed the Cloud Village's elites. He likely left a very deep impression on those people.

He pondered how to infiltrate.

Suddenly, an idea struck him.

He would use the Transformation Jutsu, of course.

Although it was just an ordinary jutsu, it was extremely effective for infiltration.

He hadn't been a dead last in the academy; he was quite proficient with the Transformation Jutsu.

It was perfect for entering the Cloud Village.

He immediately formed hand seals, and a shroud of smoke surrounded him.

He transformed directly into a man wearing Land of Lightning attire.

He had seen plenty of the local fashion before arriving, so the transformation came naturally to him.

Looking into the distance, he saw the Cloud Village nestled among peaks that pierced the clouds, surrounded by mist.

Many people came here to post commissions, so he didn't have to worry about unusual circumstances as long as he didn't cause trouble.

He relied on his powerful sensory abilities to monitor his surroundings as he walked.

Following the scent of Samui from his memory, he quickly found her residence.

This aura was unmistakable; Samui was here.

It was a two-story building.

Having memorized the location, he decided to return after nightfall.

Afterward, he didn't linger in the village and left immediately.

When night fell, Ryōsuke activated his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

Focusing his ocular power in his right eye, a portal appeared before him.

The other side of the entrance was in a secluded corner right next to Samui's home.

He checked carefully; it seemed no one had noticed the gateway.

While the Cloud Village's security didn't seem tight during the day, it was incredibly strict at night.

That was a given.

It was definitely very tight.

To avoid making a sound, he opened the portal directly there.

After stepping through the portal, Ryōsuke found himself at the corner of the house.

A two-story house.

Houses built on the mountainside probably couldn't be built very high.

He carefully searched for a way inside. The front door was locked, so he would have to go through a window.

He leaped up, landing on the windowsill, and slipped inside.

At the same time, he did his best to suppress his aura.

He didn't make a single sound.

Although his physical attributes were now immense, he still practiced various self-control exercises.

Otherwise, with his current strength, a slight lack of focus could cause him to crush a boulder into dust with the slightest effort.

He had to maintain control.

Fortunately, as his physical stats grew, so did his capacity for fine control.

Inside the inner room, a woman with an excellent figure and impressive curves was gently rocking a baby, trying to lull the child to sleep.

"Be good, little one. Sleep well."

Under her gentle swaying, the child drifted peacefully into sleep.

This baby was much better behaved than other children and wasn't fussy.

Although this was the bloodline that hateful man had forced upon her, it was still her own child.

As her belly had grown larger, the little fellow began to kick, giving her the true sensation of becoming a mother.

Now, she could finally appreciate the hardships her own mother had endured.

She probably kicked just like that when she was in her own mother's womb.

So she decided to give birth; after all, it was a life.

The child possessed the blood of the Uchiha Clan; perhaps they would awaken the Sharingan or even the legendary Mangekyō Sharingan in the future.

If that happened, it wouldn't be a loss, much like the current Uchiha Ryōsuke.

It would also bolster the Cloud Village's military power.

The village's current situation wasn't good, and she had no other choice.

'Sigh, I'll be paying off this debt for many years to come.'
