I didn't wait around to see if Jodi had left like I had told her. I was harsh with my words, and perhaps I should've been harsher to pass my point across.
I shouldn't have entertained the idea of what could be with her. That must've made her believe everything could go back to the way it was between us.
That was impossible because nothing was ever going to be the same anymore. Kaedyr has shown me a hand I didn't see coming, and I refuse to be foolish moving forward.
If I don't keep Jodi or anyone else close, how can him and his mother use them against me? She is better protected back there in the dormitory.
