Chapter 103 - Chapter 103 Snow Mountain Spirit

As the first Beast Master Hunter in history, Lu'anna was not recognized by other hunters. Smaug's power was simply too formidable; later generations had no pets that could compare, so other hunters unilaterally removed Lu'anna from the ranks of Beast Master Hunters. How could a Beast Master Hunter agree to this? With Lu'anna, a Beast Master Hunter was the strongest hunter. Therefore, even ten thousand years later, Beast Master Hunters still worshipped Lu'anna.

Lu'anna's mischievous training had tempered Smaug's temperament considerably. After all, making mistakes and having to perform those embarrassing poses was truly detrimental to a dragon's dignity.

Kana Darkwalker tracked the defeated trolls into the snowfield. These trolls came from different tribes, and their escape routes varied. Kana eliminated the previously scouted directions and followed in the direction of a snow-capped mountain.

Along the way, he passed many troll gathering points. Some fleeing trolls returned to these gathering points, and the trolls there immediately packed their belongings and moved. They feared that the allied forces would pursue them and retaliate.

Kana ignored these migrating gathering points; these trolls, with their families, could not move quickly. Moreover, it wasn't snowing, so traces on the snowfield would remain for a long time. It would be an opportune time to return and track them after scouting the snow mountain.

Thus, Kana followed some trolls to the foot of the snow mountain.

There, Kana discovered a slightly larger tribe. From their totems, they were not the Frostmane Clan, but they were a tribe under the Frostmane Clan. Their totem was a snow mountain, with a white leopard pattern above it. This tribe also had trolls who had fled back, but they did not move; instead, led by several Witch Doctors, they walked to a small hill at the foot of the snow mountain and prayed towards the summit.

Kana moved closer, faintly hearing their prayers.

"Great Snow Mountain loa, please protect your believers…"

"The Snow Mountain Tribe is willing to worship you forever…"

"Father of Warm Winter and Mother of Prosperity have fallen; now is the best time for you to gather believers…"

The prayers revealed the information Kana needed: these trolls were from the Snow Mountain Tribe, and they worshipped a loa called the Snow Mountain loa. Combined with the totem, this Snow Mountain loa should be a white leopard.

Having obtained the desired information, Kana slowly departed, found a secluded valley, and activated a Teleportation Crystal.

Soon, a portal opened before him. Navoli emerged with the logistics troops, and they set up a camp in the valley.

Gale then appeared with his logistics troops, followed by Maiev's priestess troops.

Kana quickly relayed his scouted intelligence to Gale, who pondered, "A white leopard? It should be a snow leopard!"

A Snow Leopard loa?

Gale frowned and looked towards the snow mountain.

On Earth, snow leopards were protected due to their rarity. But in Azeroth, snow leopards were very common; almost every place with snow mountains had snow leopards.

This magical world was very friendly to leopards; almost all leopards could Stealth. Night Sabers, Jungle Panthers, and Snow Leopards were all very formidable opponents. Of course, Frostsabers don't count; they are tigers.

The snow-capped mountains were the best place for snow leopards to Stealth. A Snow Leopard loa, if it didn't want to come out, would be very difficult to find.

"It seems we need to prepare for a prolonged battle."

Gale decided to set up a permanent camp in the valley and then dispatch Kaldorei from the logistics troops who could Stealth to scout the Snow Mountain Tribe. At present, only the Snow Mountain Tribe could lead them to the Snow Leopard loa.

The scouts had already been sent out; whether they could find the Snow Mountain loa depended on fate.

Unbeknownst to them, on a nearby mountain peak, the Snow Mountain loa was watching the camp.

Leopards are cautious creatures, and snow leopards even more so. Prey on the snow mountain is scarce, so once discovered, it must be a one-hit kill, otherwise, it would go hungry. The Snow Mountain loa, being a loa, was even more exceptional in its patience.

When the Snow Mountain Tribe prayed to it, it watched from the side. Being skilled in Stealth, it quickly discovered Kana hidden in the shadows. It followed Kana all the way to the valley, watching Gale and others arrive through the portal.

Although it didn't know Gale's purpose, it guessed it was definitely related to it.

Considering the information provided by the Snow Mountain Tribe, Shim-Eba and Shimtoga had both been killed, and these Dark Trolls might also be here to hunt it.

This made the Snow Mountain loa very angry; it had lived peacefully on the snow mountain, yet someone still wanted to deal with it.

After some thought, the Snow Mountain loa quietly walked down the slope and headed towards the snowfield.

A few days later, it arrived in a valley. There wasn't much snow in the valley, and tender green grass grew there, with countless reindeer living there.

"Shimruk, I know where the murderers of Shim-Eba and Shimtoga are!" the Snow Mountain loa shouted loudly.

The reindeer immediately turned their heads to look; only then did they notice the arrival of another loa.

"Are you telling the truth, Dubrakan?"

A tall reindeer walked out of the valley, looking seriously at the Snow Mountain loa, "You had better not lie to me."

Dubrakan was the name of the Snow Mountain loa. It said, "You know me; I wouldn't specifically come down the mountain to lie to you. Surely the defeated trolls have already informed you of the message: Dark Trolls killed Shim-Eba and Shimtoga."

Shimruk nodded, "That's right, I have already received the message."

"The Snow Mountain Tribe informed me of this unfortunate news while they were worshipping me. As I listened to the Witch Doctors' prayers, I noticed someone hidden in the shadows. So, I followed him and found that he opened a portal in a valley, summoning a group of Dark Trolls. Those Dark Trolls were closely monitoring the Snow Mountain Tribe, clearly coming for me. I have lived on the snow mountain for many years, and my reputation is not prominent, so why would they target me? I think they must be hunting loas."

"You're right!" Shimruk confirmed its guess, "They used Shim-Eba's body as a trap to lure Shimtoga, and then killed her."

Dubrakan frowned, "Why is this? Even if they want to weaken the trolls' power, they don't need to specifically hunt loas, do they?"

Shimruk: "According to the trolls who escaped, Shimtoga tried to resurrect Shim-Eba, but couldn't find Shim-Eba's soul. They also said that the Dark Trolls used a magic book to kill Shimtoga, but they couldn't explain exactly how she was killed. They only saw a Dark Troll use the magic book, and then Shimtoga died. I suspect that magic book can take souls, which is why it could kill Shim-Eba and Shimtoga so easily."

"Taking souls?" Dubrakan was greatly surprised, "Even Haka the Soulflayer cannot take the souls of loas; how could a mere magic book do it?"
