Chapter 104 - Chapter 104 The Curse of Shimruk

Shimruk couldn't answer Dubrakan's question, but as the Snowfield Sage, he could offer a solution.

"Dubrakan, I can help you get rid of those Dark Trolls, but I need your cooperation."

Dubrakan's eyes darted around. "How do you want me to cooperate?"

Shimruk: "Don't worry, I won't take this opportunity to harm you. My goal is to avenge Shim-Eba and Shimtoga. We have a common enemy."

Dubrakan's little scheme was seen through, but he showed no embarrassment. Having survived in the snowfields, he had long since cast aside his pride. What was embarrassment? Could it be eaten?

"To eliminate the threat of the Dark Trolls, we must kill the one who uses the magic book. So, I hope you will act as bait, while I hide in the shadows. Even if you are attacked, I will be there to help you."

Dubrakan's heart tightened. "You're not really lying to me, are you?"

"Of course!" Shimruk said sincerely, "How many followers do you have? With a great enemy before us, would I really harm you for such a small number of followers?"

That was true! Dubrakan was convinced.

"What do you need me to do?"

Shimruk smiled and said, "Let's go to the Snow Mountain first. I still need some intelligence on the Dark Trolls."

"Leave the intelligence gathering to me," Dubrakan declared, taking full responsibility.

At the Snow Mountain camp, Gale's face was grim. It had been a month, and there was still no news of the Snow Leopard loa. This gave him a bad feeling. Had the Snow Leopard loa already detected the camp's presence? And then fled?

Dealing with a loa that could use Stealth was too difficult.

Just as he was feeling frustrated, the Teleportation Crystal suddenly lit up. Gale's eyes lit up, and he grabbed the crystal, stepping out of his tent. Outside the tent, Maiev and the Priest Corps were ready for battle at any moment.

"We found it!"

Gale activated the Teleportation Gate and plunged in. Maiev quickly waved her hand, leading the Priest Corps to charge into the Teleportation Gate.

On the other side, Gale saw Navoli and others fighting a giant snow leopard. More than a dozen scouts from the logistics unit lay on the ground. From the traces of battle, it was clear that this snow leopard had ambushed them.

Kana, who had activated the Teleportation Crystal, quickly said, "Master, this should be the Snow Leopard loa. We found a huge cave nearby, and it appeared and attacked us shortly after."

Gale took out the devourer of gods. "Tell them to retreat."

Kana quickly blew a horn, which he had captured from a Troll elite hunter.

Gale, guided by Shim-Eba's Sun Power, marked the snow leopard. Navoli and the others retreated, all of them more or less injured, but persevering in battle thanks to the powerful healing of Regeneration Potions.

When Dubrakan saw the Kaldorei reinforcements arrive, he immediately turned to flee. But when he tried to use Stealth, he found it failed. He quickly checked himself and discovered the Sun Power.

"Damn it, Shim-Eba's power."

Dubrakan turned his head to scan the Kaldorei, and quickly focused his gaze on Gale.

"Dark Trolls, you are desecrating the gods."

"False god!" Gale shouted loudly, "Elune is the only true god in this world!"

Dubrakan sneered; he had never even heard the name Elune.

Maiev was praying, preparing to cast the Imprisonment Divine Spell. Suddenly, they felt the spell's casting speed increase, and a powerful force helped them save time.

"Boom!"

Moonlight enveloped Dubrakan, imprisoning him. His strength was even weaker than Shim-Eba and Shimtoga, and after being hit by the divine spell, he was completely unable to move.

"What is this?" Dubrakan panicked, struggling desperately, but finding it futile.

Gale extracted soul power from the devourer of gods, condensed a Soul Blade, and shot it at Dubrakan. Dubrakan screamed silently; he found his soul being pulled out of his body, and in terror, he cried out for help: "Shimruk, save me quickly!"

However, Shimruk did not appear.

Gale frowned slightly. There was another loa here? Had the Snowfield Sage come too? Where was he?

Gale vigilantly looked around, but found nothing suspicious. To avoid any accidents, he accelerated the dragging of Dubrakan's soul.

Dubrakan already knew he had been betrayed by Shimruk, and he cursed loudly: "Shimruk, may you die a terrible death!"

Just as Dubrakan's soul was about to be completely devoured by the devourer of gods, a green light flew rapidly, striking Dubrakan's soul. The next second, Dubrakan's soul was completely devoured, and Gale didn't even have time to react.

"This is?"

Gale looked in horror at the newly displayed page in the devourer of gods: Snow Mountain Spirit Dubrakan (Cursed).

Cursed?

What curse?

Countless green threads crawled from the devourer of gods onto Gale's hand. Gale couldn't even throw away the devourer of gods. Under the influence of the curse, Gale's head felt heavy, and he felt drowsy.

"Gale!" Maiev flashed over, reaching out to support him.

"Don't touch me! This is a curse!" Gale warned loudly, "Watch your surroundings, there's another loa here."

"Dark Trolls, you will pay for your actions!" A female voice cried out in anger, and a giant reindeer gradually walked up the hill from which the voice came.

He was none other than the Snowfield Sage, Shimruk!

"What did you do to Gale?" Maiev demanded furiously.

Shimruk said coldly, "Those who toy with souls will inevitably suffer a backlash from souls. Those who toy with the souls of loa should suffer even more. But you can rest assured, he will not die, nor will I let him die easily. I will torment him, make him feel the agony of his soul being tormented every day, and make him witness the deaths of his loved ones."

"So, none of you will live past today, except for him!"

Shimruk cried out to the sky, and countless reindeer came from down the mountain. Their eyes glowed fiercely, approaching the mountain step by step. These kin were the children of Shim-Eba and Shimtoga, each possessing extraordinary strength, far surpassing the Troll Army.

Maiev looked at Shimruk in anger. "You wish!"

Gale, fighting off sleepiness, used Arcane to open his magic pouch, took out the Teleportation Crystal, and placed it in front of Maiev.

"Take them and leave!"

Gale's position was still some distance from the Priests. There was only one Teleportation Crystal for the Mage Tower, and Gale chose to let Maiev take the others. It wasn't that he wasn't afraid of death, but he knew that the source of the curse was Shimruk, and if he couldn't kill Shimruk, he would surely die.

Maiev looked at Gale in shock. "What about you?"

Gale took out Aggramar's Shield and looked at Shimruk. "Between him and me, only one can survive."

With that, Gale activated Flash and appeared before Shimruk. He raised the devourer of gods, disregarding the curse's effects, and drove the divine power within the book to smash it down.

"You are courting death!" Shimruk sneered, raising his front hoof and stomping down on Gale.
