"That is our duty," Alexstrasza said. "It is very dangerous here; it would be best for the allied forces to withdraw as soon as possible."
Gale looked at the half of the city that was still standing and nodded, "There are still many valuable things here. We will withdraw once they have all been collected."
Sin'dorei was a city of magic, inhabited by at least seven or eight thousand Mages, if not ten thousand. However, not all Mages could own their Mage Towers, and the remaining Mages were not all apprentice Mages of Mage Towers.
Large numbers of low-level Mages resided throughout Sin'dorei, in addition to shops selling magical items. Even after being plundered by demons, many good things could still be found.
Gale had Carlos lead the Alpha Squad to "settle" the survivors, and then had Garrosh command the main army to conduct a thorough search of the remaining half of the city.
As for the other armies, they were to withdraw from the city first to a safe location north of the city.
After all the tasks were proceeding in an orderly manner, Gale finally examined the arcane gem from before.
Having absorbed most of the Well of Eternity's energy, the arcane gem contained an extremely terrifying amount of power. However, it merely glowed with a purple light, showing no signs of losing control.

The Arcane Energy within aluneth was denser than the Arcane Energy of aluneth's world, almost equivalent to the energy concentration within the eternal holy grail. Therefore, whenever Gale used the Well of Eternity, he directly absorbed Arcane Energy from within aluneth.
Only then did aluneth realize something was wrong. It wanted to remove the beacon crystal but found it impossible. However, when forging the eternal spear, Gale used a large amount of Arcane Energy. aluneth couldn't handle it anymore; how could its speed of absorbing Arcane Energy compare to the eternal holy grail's absorption speed?
