Rhonin took the battle-axe and nodded slightly.
He was a bit troubled now; how was he supposed to return to ten thousand years later? Nozdormu had just flown away with the Dragon Legion, apparently forgetting him and Krasus.
Just then, The Maelstrom changed again. A golden figure leaped out from it, hovering in mid-air.
"Nozdormu?"
Gale raised an eyebrow; this Lord of Time was quite elusive!
Krasus and Rhonin breathed a sigh of relief; clearly, this Nozdormu was the one who had brought them through time.
Nozdormu flew over, landed on the shore, and transformed into an elf with a pale face.
"I'll take you back!"
After saying that, without waiting for the others to react, the figures of the three gradually faded and disappeared before everyone's eyes. Brox's body also vanished with them.
Gale used Earth Spirit magic to draw stones, shaping a stone tablet at the location of Brox's body to commemorate Brox's sacrifice.
Immediately after, the entire Allied Army withdrew from Sin'dorei.
The Sin'dorei city, stripped of its magical protection, was submerged by seawater. The earth cracked, stones fell, and the city was torn into small islands by the sea.
And at the forefront of all the islands, that stone tablet still stood tall.
The Allied Army retreated to the vicinity of the Temple of the Moon; the road to Suramar was already cut off. Gale ordered a halt to the march and sent Luna to scout the situation.
After setting up camp, the Allied Army's discipline became somewhat lax. Having survived a great disaster, their strained nerves relaxed, and everyone wanted to indulge a bit.
A lot of alcohol had been collected in Sin'dorei, and some soldiers secretly took it out to drink. When others saw it, Tauren and Human soldiers forcibly seized all the carts containing alcohol and distributed them to everyone.
Garrosh didn't have much experience, so he didn't pay much attention.
But after Navoli discovered it, he immediately reported it to Gale.
Gale was studying the magic map; the northern region of Suramar was intact, with a much larger storage area than the later Broken Isles. Of course, it was also possible that some areas were merely damaged by reconnaissance guard energy impacts and thus could not be displayed on the magic map.
For example, the forest west of Black Rook Hold was hit by seawater, but as long as the seawater receded, it would become woodland again.
Of course, there was even better news.
Most of Darkmoon City, which should have sunk to the bottom of the sea, had been preserved. The Kaldorei there had retreated to the mountain roads and were largely unaffected, apart from a lack of food.
Dalaran and Vashj'ir were largely unaffected, especially Dalaran, which was protected by the Gale Highland, so the energy impact did not threaten the Dalaran region. The eastern part of Vashj'ir broke off and sank to the bottom of the sea, but the urban area and the western Redridge Mountains were well preserved, and Vashj'ir's economic lifeline—those open-pit mines—were also undamaged.
The central part of the Redridge Mountains where Gale's Tower was located remained intact, but its north and south sides became the sea, and the western mountains were also damaged by the energy impact, turning into towering reefs in the sea.
As for the areas north of Highmountain, east of Stormheim, near Mount Hyjal, Cenarion Thicket, Ereylas, and other places, no reconnaissance guards had been set up to be taken from Gale, so the current situation was unknown.
Hearing Navoli's report, Gale smiled.
"It's about time I let them relax a bit!"
He straightened his collar and walked out of the castle with Navoli, "Come, let's go have a drink together."
Navoli quickly followed behind him, showing no sign of joy. With his centuries of experience following Gale, Gale was clearly angry. However, because these soldiers were heroes, he planned not to punish them.
Otherwise, given Gale's strict military discipline, anyone who dared to seize military supplies would undoubtedly be executed.
Gale walked out of the castle, looked at the Allied Army soldiers drinking heartily, and said with a smile, "Are you all drinking?"
The boisterous crowd immediately quieted down, all awkwardly holding their cups, unsure what to say.
Carlos quickly walked over and said in a deep voice, "I've already found the soldiers who snatched the alcohol."
Gale waved his hand, looking at everyone in the Allied Army.
"We drove away the demons and achieved a great victory. I was thinking of celebrating after we retreated to a safe place. I didn't expect you to be even more eager than me, already celebrating."
As he spoke, he walked among the crowd, reaching out and taking a cup from an Earth Spirit's hand.
"But you're not being fair! You celebrated without inviting me; I must be punished with a drink!"
He raised his cup, "Drink this cup, and I will forgive you."
Everyone immediately raised their cups and cheered loudly.
"Long live King Gale!"
"Long live King Gale!"
"Long live King Gale…"
Gale tilted his head and downed the drink, then had the person next to him refill it.
"This second cup, we will dedicate it to the fallen soldiers. Without them, we would never have been able to drive away the demons."
These words brought many soldiers to tears. They had all lost loved ones and friends in this war, and they had been suppressing their emotions, wanting to drown their sorrows in alcohol. Now, Gale's words had broken through their defenses, and they wept profusely.
Gale said in a deep voice, "The deceased are gone, but the living remain. We must be strong and continue to live for those lost loved ones and friends."
He poured the wine from his cup onto the ground, "Farewell, everyone!"
Everyone stood solemnly, pouring their wine onto the ground, "Farewell, everyone!"
"Farewell, everyone!"
"Farewell, everyone…"
Gale had someone fill the third cup, then waved to Carlos. Carlos immediately had the Tauren and Human soldiers who had snatched the alcohol brought forward, followed by the Kaldorei soldiers responsible for escorting the alcohol.
"Today, everyone can celebrate early, thanks to these few."
Some people laughed lightheartedly, but Huln Highmountain and Hothman Thoridan grew tense; they didn't know much about military discipline, but it was clear that what these Tauren and Humans had done was wrong.
Indeed, Gale beckoned and called over a few logistics soldiers.
"Since when have you been following me?"
"I've been following you since Alpha Fortress," the Kaldorei squad leader said.
Gale seemed to fall into reminiscence: "So early! Then tell me, since you started following me, has anyone ever snatched things from the logistics unit?"
"No!" the squad leader said proudly, "His Majesty's military discipline is strict; unless actively distributed, anyone who dares to seize military supplies is immediately executed!"
Immediately executed?
Most of the Allied Army heard this and immediately gasped, standing up. Some of them didn't understand; it was just a small mistake, yet the punishment was so severe.
The few Tauren and Humans even collapsed to the ground, looking at Gale in panic.
"Don't be afraid!"
Gale kindly helped them up one by one and said to the crowd, "Don't think I'm cruel; military discipline simply needs to be strict. Carlos, recite the military regulations to everyone."
Carlos immediately said in a clear voice, "Those who flee in battle, behead immediately! Those who disobey military orders, behead immediately! Those who incite disloyalty in the army, behead immediately…"
With each mention of 'behead immediately,' those hearing it for the first time changed their expressions. Because many people had experienced situations specified in the military regulations.
