Chapter 234 - Chapter 234: Locke's hidden enemy

After hearing Ael's words, Gale understood and sensed signs of a conspiracy.

Torim's arrival was ill-timed, and he had no reason to attack Odyn.

Thinking of this, he immediately said to Ael, "There's no time to lose, let's go now."

He summoned a magic map, had Ael point out Vaquilian's general location, and then activated the Rainbow Bridge.

The Rainbow Bridge teleported the two to the mountainside, bringing all of Vaquilian into view.

The Valarjar were attacking a strange giant; at the giant's feet, Odyn and another giant lay on the ground.

"Loken!"

Ael exclaimed, "How could he be here?"

Gale frowned; this was indeed Loken's conspiracy.

Loken waved his hand, and powerful Shadow Power sent the charging Valarjar flying.

Some Valarjar had their souls directly shattered in mid-air, turning into soul energy and vanishing into thin air.

Loken paid no attention to these overconfident fools.

He looked at Odyn triumphantly, "It seems I overestimated you!"

Loken had reason to be smug; after writing the letter to Torim, he had been secretly monitoring the situation in Vaquilian.

Seeing Torim indeed appear and attack Odyn, he knew his plan had succeeded.

Odyn and Torim fought with true fury, holding nothing back.

Their internal energy was severely depleted, and after a few hours, they were already exhausted.

At this moment, Loken made a grand entrance, injuring Odyn with a single blow.

Only then did Torim realize he had been used.

He attacked Loken, but was easily counter-killed by Loken.

Loken was no longer the Loken from before; fearing he wouldn't be a match for Odyn, he had accepted Yogg-Saron's power.

With this shift in power, even Odyn and Torim together were no match for Loken.

What's more, Loken had also launched a sneak attack on Odyn first.

"Roar—"

Torim's Proto-Dragon let out a roar, trying to break free from the Shadow chains on its body.

Loken looked at it playfully, "You need to be good, otherwise, Torim's fate will be your fate."

However, the Proto-Dragon showed no fear of Loken, continuing to roar at him.

Loken also didn't take it seriously, casually condensing a ball of Shadow energy and throwing it towards the Proto-Dragon.

Just then, a rainbow struck in front of the Proto-Dragon, blocking the Shadow energy.

Ael flew out of the rainbow and attacked Loken.

Loken scoffed, grabbing Ael's wing, "Ael, you really haven't made any progress all these years."

Ael, however, smiled, "I have made some progress."

Loken suddenly felt a great danger, and quickly turned to look at where the rainbow had struck.

He saw an elf there, who raised the eternal spear in his hand, and a rainbow struck Loken's chest.

Loken was sent flying, crashing heavily into the mountain.

His chest was severely burned, imbued with Holy Light divine power, which was constantly eroding the Shadow Power within him.

"Who are you?" Loken was both surprised and enraged; Gale was clearly a mortal, so why was his strength so immense?

Gale did not answer Loken, but continued to attack him.

He didn't know how powerful Loken was, and if Loken adapted to his attack rhythm, would he launch a counterattack?

Therefore, he had to maintain the initiative.

Ael took the opportunity to land beside Odyn and examine his injuries.

Odyn was on his last breath, and he said, "I feel the power of the Old Gods is eroding me!

After I die, you must burn my body; do not let the Old Gods succeed."

"No! No! You won't die!"

Ael couldn't believe what she was seeing; she had only gone to ask for help, and Odyn was killed?

Odyn stroked Ael's head, "Don't cry.

Between you and Helya, I have always admired Helya.

Even when I turned you into a Valkyries, you never complained.

After I die, the Hall of Valor will be yours to command.

Fulfill my last wish for me: reclaim Ulduar and punish Helya."

As he spoke, Odyn's hand dropped to the ground.

His body slowly began to burn; this was him using his last strength to fulfill his dying wish.

However, Odyn's body was incredibly strong, and ordinary flames would have difficulty burning it.

Ael endured her grief and injected her power into the flames.

The Valarjar also gathered around, injecting their power into the flames to send Odyn off.

Seeing that Odyn was dead, Loken immediately used all his strength to force Gale back.

"Mortal, Odyn is dead! Why do you fight so desperately?

Why not pledge allegiance to me? I will grant you immortality and powerful strength."

"Is it this kind of power you use?" Gale said disdainfully, taking out Aggramar's Shield to block Loken's attack, while the eternal spear did not stop its offense, "It's merely Shadow Power.

If I wanted to use it, I could have long ago; why would I need you to grant it?"

Loken chuckled, "This is no ordinary Shadow Power…"

"It makes no difference to me! And look at you now, you're hideous!"

Loken was speechless; you want powerful strength, and you want to look good?

Where in the world is there such a cheap deal?

However, looking at Gale, he did look quite good.

Damn looks-obsessed people!

As they fought, Loken grew a little anxious.

Gale had Aggramar's Shield, so his attacks were always blocked, and he couldn't defend against the eternal spear's attacks.

If they continued like this, he would be injured by the eternal spear before he could deplete Aggramar's Shield's energy.

Loken didn't want to trade injuries for a kill; if he were injured, those few in Ulduar would certainly take the opportunity to rebel.

Since he had already eliminated Odyn, his major concern, Loken chose to be cautious.

He suddenly released a large amount of Shadow Power, sending Gale flying, and took the opportunity to disengage from the battle and flee the battlefield.

Gale did not pursue; with his current strength, he was not Loken's match.

Although he could defeat Loken, it would only be like Deathwing, banishing him from the real world.

With Loken's strength, if he entered the elemental plane, he would become an even greater hidden danger than Deathwing.

In any case, Loken would stay in Ulduar, so he could take his time with him.

Now, the most important thing was that Odyn had died, and the Northrend campaign had lost its meaning.

Therefore, Gale had to make a profit to cover the expenses of the expedition.

He first picked up Torim's warhammer, then released Torim's Proto-Dragon.

Viranus was the Proto-Dragon's name; she was the matriarch of the Proto-Dragons, but she was exceptionally loyal to Torim.

She came to Torim's body, lowering her head and sobbing uncontrollably.

Gale didn't disturb her, taking the opportunity to study the warhammer in his hand.

This warhammer looked flashy, but the lightning power it contained was surprisingly no weaker than the pillars of creation.

Perhaps, he could use it to forge a Miao Miao Hammer.

As soon as this thought emerged, Gale began to admire himself.
