Deathwing closed his eyes, his massive head crashing heavily to the ground, and he simply died.
Then, to everyone's confusion, streams of Earth power emerged from Deathwing's corpse, finally coalescing in Azadas's hand. As the Earth power was drawn out, Deathwing's soul floated away from his body, slowly ascending into the sky.
He looked kindly at Azadas, then transformed into specks of light, disappearing before everyone's eyes.
Azadas looked sadly at the essence of Earth power in his hand. He had granted Deathwing power, and he had also taken that power back from Deathwing. From this power, he felt Deathwing's energy; having lived in the sunless depths for so long, he had unknowingly fallen prey to the Old Gods' temptation. He had once tried to break free but couldn't.
Furthermore, he was too eager to bear responsibility, unwilling to let his other siblings shoulder the danger, which is why he sank deeper and deeper, eventually becoming N'Zoth's puppet.
"N'Zoth..."
Azadas's hatred burned, wishing he could hammer N'Zoth, the culprit, to death.
Tydasshid approached, comforting him, "Please accept my condolences. I know your relationship with Deathwing might have been good, but his destruction of Nordrassil is something we cannot tolerate."
Azadas looked at the earnest young one before him, "He was once just like you."
Tydasshid was puzzled, "Like what?"
"Character and bravery!" Azadas said, "Neltharion was once a hater of evil. When Galakrond plagued the world, Tyr sought help from the dragons. Neltharion did not stand by idly just because Galakrond was of the same kin. In the war, he always charged forward, shielding his siblings from Galakrond's attacks. That's why, after we bestowed Titan power upon the dragons, Neltharion became the leader of the Guardian Dragons."
Tydasshid was very surprised; he had thought Deathwing was inherently evil!
"The reason he became this way is because he wanted to bear responsibility and prevent his other siblings from being harmed. Originally, five Guardian Dragons were responsible for guarding N'Zoth, the Old God's cage, but Neltharion took on this task himself. Due to prolonged exposure to N'Zoth, he was tempted by N'Zoth, which is why he became like this."
Tydasshid smiled, "It seems we are different then; I wouldn't give N'Zoth a chance to tempt me."
"Is that so?" Azadas retorted, saying nothing more.
He needed to find a successor for Neltharion, to integrate him and make him the leader of the Black Dragons. Azeroth still needed Black Dragons, not Guardian Dragons.
Just as he was about to put away the essence of Earth power, Deathwing's corpse suddenly sprang up, biting Azadas's arm, attempting to snatch the essence of Earth power.
Tydasshid reacted immediately, raising the hammer of Kaz'goroth and striking Deathwing's corpse.
Deathwing's body paused, and Azadas seized the opportunity to pull his arm free, but the essence of Earth power in his hand flew out. Deathwing rushed to grab it, but Tydasshid was a step faster, directly teleporting over, embracing the essence of Earth power, and teleporting back onto a Storm Dragon.
"Sir, how should this..."
He was about to ask Azadas how to deal with this essence, but to his surprise, the essence drilled into his body. He was still a mortal, how could he withstand such formidable energy? He immediately fainted.
The Storm Dragon was greatly alarmed and immediately flew away with Tydasshid.
Deathwing still tried to chase, but Azadas embraced him and hammered him into the lake.
"N'Zoth! You are desecrating Neltharion's corpse!"
Azadas roared furiously, then plunged into the lake, attacking Deathwing's corpse.
Navoli, seeing Tydasshid's uncertain fate, was instantly enraged, "Attack! Eliminate Deathwing!"
Although he didn't know why Deathwing had revived, killing him again was always the right thing to do. Moreover, Azadas was also attacking Deathwing, and fighting alongside a Titan Guardian surely couldn't be wrong.
The Dragon Knights were also exceptionally furious; they had been sent to protect the Prince. Now that Tydasshid was unconscious, hadn't their mission failed? How would they explain this to Your Majesty Gail?
The captains of various squads whistled, leading their Dragon Knights to dive down, Sea Monster Killer and Thunder Breath striking Deathwing's body as if they were free.
These attacks were nothing to Deathwing. However, they gave Azadas an opportunity. He reached out and grabbed Deathwing's wound, tearing off the source ingot armor near the wound with force.
The Dragon Knights, seeing their chance, immediately focused their fire on the wound. Sea Monster Killer's damage wasn't great, but it could destroy Deathwing's bones and internal organs. Thunder Breath couldn't cause substantial damage, but it could make the chaotic energy within Deathwing even more chaotic.
At first, there might have been nothing, but as time accumulated, three of Deathwing's ribs broke, and the chaotic energy within him became too difficult to control. Finally, in an explosion, all of his source ingot armor was blown off.
The Storm Dragons were injured by the source ingot armor and retreated from the battle. Azadas was also blown away, landing on a mountain to the west.
The powerful energy explosion shattered Deathwing's skin, muscles, and internal organs into fragments, leaving only a broken skeleton that shot into the sky, flying into the distance and disappearing.
Navoli wanted to send people to pursue, but too many Storm Dragons were injured and needed time to recover their combat strength.
Looking at the unconscious Tydasshid, he took out and activated a spatial beacon.
Soon, a Rainbow Bridge came from the west and landed beside him.
Gale and Maiev stepped out of the Rainbow Bridge and immediately saw the unconscious Tydasshid.
"How could this happen?" Maiev demanded angrily.
Gale patted her shoulder, "Let's check on the child first!"
After sending Maiev away, he asked Navoli what had happened. Navoli explained it concisely, and Gale finally breathed a sigh of relief.
At the same time, he looked enviously at Tydasshid; this brat had also turned misfortune into a blessing.
Azadas walked over and cast a spell on Tydasshid. Tydasshid's breathing stabilized, as if he were merely sleeping.
"He is not seriously injured; he just needs to fully absorb the energy within his body, and then he can wake up."
At the same time, he sighed inwardly. It seemed fate did not want to help the Black Dragons either; this essence of Earth power had been absorbed by this young one. It seemed he would have to rely more on the "Kaldorei" in the future; they were about to produce a figure like a Guardian Dragon.
