Chapter 267 - Chapter 267: Sky Fortress: Hall of Valor

Freya was a little slow to catch up with Gale's thinking, "I'm afraid not. If we deal with Skywall first, many Wind Elementals will remain in Uldum…"

As she spoke, Freya realized.

"This is indeed a good idea. Once the Wind Elementals' retreat is cut off, the Wind Elementals remaining in Uldum can be dealt with slowly."

Freya looked at the two sky fortresses on Skywall, "But how do we defeat them? Should we bring your Eternal Knight Order over?"

Gale: "We need more than just the knight order; we also need to form other air forces. In addition, we must have our own sky fortresses so we aren't passive."

"Sky fortresses?" Freya looked at Gale in astonishment, "You can get sky fortresses?"

"Of course!"

Gale said with great certainty.

Gale was not lying; he did possess a sky fortress, but he had not yet gone to claim it.

The Rainbow Bridge teleported to the Hall of Valor, where Aier led a group of Eternals to welcome him. She had been waiting for this moment for a long time, and respectfully knelt on the ground, "Your Majesty, welcome to the Hall of Valor."

"How many Eternals does the Hall of Valor have?" Gale asked.

"Only over three hundred!" Aier said with some embarrassment, "We have included all allied races in the conscription, but not many can be called warriors."

Gale was not disappointed, however. Given the Alliance's population base, accumulating over three hundred Eternals in more than twenty years was already a lot.

He told Aier the plan he had written down, "Recall the Eternal Knight Order; they will be needed in the upcoming battles. Send someone to inform Mejia and have him send a lich army."

"As you command!"

Aier hesitated to speak. She had no objection to recalling the Eternal Knight Order, but bringing liches to the Hall of Valor gave her some pause.

The Hall of Valor was a sacred place, filled with Holy Light. Liches, on the other hand, were the epitome of darkness. Summoning them to the Hall of Valor was tantamount to desecration. She also knew that Gale wouldn't care about such things; His Majesty was always a pragmatist, willing to do anything that could enhance his strength.

He created the lich race and could also use Soul Gems to enhance the strength of the Valkyries and the Valarjar. He could use Holy Light, and he could also use Shadow…

Gale returned to Nordrassil, but Tydasshid showed no signs of waking. Judging from the energy within his body, there was no sign of him waking up in the short term.

Therefore, Gale did not let the Storm Dragon Knight Regiment participate in this battle, but instead recalled Nasha.

After the War of the Ancients, Nasha had been in the Temple of the Moon in Val'sharah. In addition to her regular duties at the Temple of the Moon, she was also responsible for training Kaldorei cavalry, the Night Saber Knights, and the Hippogryph Knight Order.

Night Sabers and Hippogryphs were fierce beasts in Val'sharah, but their relatively small size prevented them from carrying male Kaldorei, making them perfectly suited for female Kaldorei.

So, after Gale recruited female soldiers, he directly assigned them to Nasha.

Over twenty years had passed, and both knight orders had reached a thousand-person scale. This war was an opportunity to test the Hippogryph Knight Order.

Nasha returned to Nordrassil and immediately came to pay respects to Maiev. She was also quite emotional upon learning of Tydasshid's coma.

Maiev asked about her and Karna, and Nasha no longer had the shyness of a young girl.

"We will get married after returning from this war."

Gale, listening nearby, felt it was a bit ominous. According to the tropes of film and television, people who say such things usually don't make it back.

Gale went ahead to the Hall of Valor, leaving Nasha and Karna some time alone, telling her to join them in a few days.

The liches had arrived, and Gale began to transform the Hall of Valor with them.

Although the Hall of Valor had now returned to the mortal realm, it had been lifted into the sky by Helya, so its foundation was not stable. With a little modification, it could become a sky fortress. However, a sky fortress is different from being sealed; a sky fortress emphasizes combat capability.

Combat capability is divided into offense and defense.

For offense, Gale planned to use Mage Towers, which would be managed by the liches to cast Frost Spells. Although Frost Spells did not specifically counter Wind Elementals, they still possessed strong damage.

For defense, the foundation and walls needed to be reinforced. When Odyn built the Hall of Valor, he used rare metals, so the walls were not a concern; without using the Rainbow Bridge, Gale would find it difficult to damage the Hall of Valor's walls.

The foundation was just ordinary stone, offering no protection against physical attacks and many magical attacks, so it had to be reinforced, and heavily so.

Gale used the eternal spear to lift the Hall of Valor back into the sky. The liches began to modify the foundation. The first step was to enchant it with a floating spell, allowing the Hall of Valor to possess its own levitation ability. The liches created a large number of Runestones enchanted with floating spells and buried them in the foundation.

Once the Hall of Valor could float on its own, Gale was freed up. He and the liches worked together to create protective Runestones, using an alloy of titan steel and adamantite, enchanted with Titan protection runes.

After burying all the Runestones, Gale set up a metal platform within the Hall of Valor and placed the eye of aman'thul on it to charge the Runestones.

Finally, the liches set up teleportation devices on the Hall of Valor. These teleportation devices could teleport independently or connect to the eternal spear to activate the Rainbow Bridge teleportation.

Once everything was done, Gale divided the Hall of Valor into four areas.

The power zone, where the eye of aman'thul was placed, belonged to Gale. Gale would control the entire Hall of Valor from here and formulate strategies and tactics based on battlefield intelligence.

The spire zone, where Mage Towers were built in a circle, was for the liches to be stationed and formed the Hall of Valor's offensive system.

The entrance area was the reception zone, led by Aier, where the Valkyries were stationed. Eternals also generally lived in the reception zone, and the subsequent Eternal Knight Order and Hippogryph Knight Order would also be stationed there.

The remaining area was the hunting grounds, home to a powerful beast named Fenrir. The hunting grounds were used by Odyn to train the Valarjar, and Gale also kept them to hone the skills of the Eternals. Eternals, before being completely killed, would not be injured, so to increase combat skills, they could only fight against beings stronger than themselves, and Fenrir was an excellent whetstone.

Soon, the Hippogryph Knight Order and the Eternal Knight Order arrived one after another.

Gale activated the Rainbow Bridge, and the entire Hall of Valor transformed into a rainbow, flying southwest.

Above Uldum, Al'Akir was dispatching Wind Elementals from the Wind Elemental plane to intensify the attack on the Sunstone Obelisk. Unexpectedly, a rainbow flew from a distance, transforming into a magnificent palace, blocking the path of the Wind Elementals' advance.
